Plants increase Productivity and Happiness!

Researchers have discovered that plants increase productivity. Offices with plants are more happy and productive environments than the ones with pictures and souvenirs.

In fact, offices filled with pictures, souvenirs and other distractions are “the most toxic space” you can put a human into, figuratively speaking of course.

It is the same as putting animals in “lean” cages and putting them in cages filled with nature. They are miserable when put in a “lean” cage.

Dr Chris Knight from Exeter University and his fellow psychologists, who have been studying the issue for 10 years, concluded that employees were 15% more productive when “lean” workplaces are filled with just a few houseplants, as employees who actively engage with their surroundings are better workers.

We are a part of nature. No matter how much technology improves and how much of a “high” society we become, we must always integrate it with nature and create a balance.

It is who we are. We cannot go against that because it is going against ourselves and we are miserable when doing that.

We function best when we are free to be who we are and we are a part of nature. We are most productive around nature.

We need to realize that this is the key to finally evolving into what we were always intending. We have been developing our scientific “muscle” but we atrophied our spiritual.

Plants in Offices Increase Happiness and ProductivityProf Alex Haslam, from the University of Queensland’s School of Psychology, who co-authored the study, added: “The “lean” philosophy has been influential across a wide range of organizational domains. Our research questions this widespread conviction that less is more. Sometimes less is just less.”

Imagine the offices in the world filled with beautiful plants. The gray sights of cities filled with green scenery. Instead of gas clouds clear blue sky.

We are not evolved. We are in the transition of evolution. The Evolution of Humanity will be complete once we learn how to integrate our science in balance with nature. That’s the loop hole.

We came from nature and we developed technology. The new era of humanity is living in nature once again. Only this time we take the balanced technology with us.

The Ice Bucket Challenge Psychology – What Makes It so Irresistible ?

We have all heard of the famous “Ice Bucket Challenge” and most of us have already accepted it, done it, and nominated others to do it.

It is an act of awakening the awareness for the Lou Gehrig’s disease, or amyotrophic lateral sclerosis. It is a metaphor to awaken and become conscious of the seriousness of this disease.

Basically what you do is donate money and film yourself getting showered by a bucket filled with Cold Water and Ice. It represents your awakening and contributing to the research for amyotrophic lateral sclerosis.

At the end of the video you nominate 3 other individuals who need to donate and do the Ice Bucket Shower nominating other 3 and so on.

It is really a neat marketing for the right cause. However, as we humans have a tendency to do, we slowly lose the meaning behind things and use them for selfish, ego serving reasons.

The Ice Bucket Challenge has gone viral and everybody do it no matter if they donate, have fun or just like to feel validated.

We will get behind the psychology of why The Ice Bucket Challenge has become so viral and irresistible. Maybe other donating funds will use the same psychology behind this marketing to achieve success in the right causes. There are actually 5 main reasons.

1. The Element of Surprise

Jonah BergerWhen we see videos of people doing the challenge we see the excitement coming from the surprising sensation of cold water touching the skin.

It is like seeing extreme videos and having a desire to do extreme sports only doing this is very easy.

It’s like a cheat for the adrenaline rush.

“It’s funny, but it’s also surprising, and you have an emotional tie to the cause,” – says Jonah Berger, a marketing professor at University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School who studies the science behind viral content.

2. The Pulsing Arteries

There is also a science behind sharing content and increased heart rate. Berger had one group of students jog in place for 60 seconds before reading an article online, and found that they were twice more likely to send it to someone than students who didn’t move at all.

The implication, Berger said in the study, was that even physical signs of arousal and soaring emotions – the increased heart rate and blood flow – can make someone more apt to share.

3. The Social Validation

Getting nominated means you matter to someone enough to choose you. It makes you look popular and that really serves your reputation. So by default, making an “Ice Bucket Challenge” video means you’ve been nominated by other popular individual.

“People share things that make them look good, that make them look smart and in the know,” Berger says. “It’s easy to see other people doing this, whereas with most social causes donations are private.”

4. The Celebrity Lifestyle

Seeing celebrities do it is like adding a fuel to the fire. Their social accounts are marketing POWER TOOLS and uploading a video of them doing something means the whole world will see it, their fans particularly.

What celebrities do is by default “right” for most if not all of their fans. Adding the cause behind it gives that desire to copy them a heightened push. The challenge is easy, donations anonymous, so it means we can all do it.

5. The “Good” Cause

We all want to be of help. We all want to benefit humanity in some way. A lot of us are not aware of this but the desire still gives a push from time to time. The IBC has this cause in its essence.

However, despite satisfying the need to be of benefit for humanity we use the “Ice Bucket Challenge” to satisfy the approval our ego seeks. That’s why a lot of us are making the Ice Bucket Challenge but not donating a single penny for the cause. Nobody knows if we donate or not but everybody knows we participated in the Ice Bucket Challenge so we are beneficial in the eyes of others. That’s all the ego needs.

We need to wake up, become aware of the Lou Gehrig’s disease, yes, however, what we need more is to wake up and become aware of who we are. Become aware of what we stand for and what we will do about it. Become aware of what we really value at the end of the day. That’s what the “Ice Bucket Challenge” should represent.

Jim Carrey will Change The Way YOU Look at Life!

Jim Carrey is probably the god of comedy in The Whole Universe. If not the god of comedy, he is for sure among the greatest comedians in the history of all comedy.

No matter how sad or down, no matter if you like him or not, no matter if you are a serious person or not, Jim Carrey will speak directly to your laughing nerve.

Why is Jim so funny? Is he doing something differently from others? Is it a gift what he has?

The Truth is we can all be funny. We can all be comedians because comedy is a product of humanity. It is the courage to take negativity and be honest about it.

However, many of us live in fear. Many of us take negativity and reshape it in something even darker. That’s because we are darkness. But also, we are light. It is up to us what we’ll choose. Love or Fear?

If we are brave enough to face fear and see the illusion it is, we will start to laugh. We will become comedians. If we embrace the darkness and the light, the craziness we all have, if we have the courage to do so, we are comedians.

What Jim does is a complex simplicity but we can describe it as being courageous enough to face your own demons and show them love. Have fun with them.

Jim is expressing that fun with the world without doubting for a second if what he does is right or not. That’s why he is the best comedian. He is courageous enough to be. He has faith in something greater from light or darkness. He has faith in Humanity, in humanity we all have deep inside our hearts.

Listen to the wisdom Jim Carrey is expressing with us and try to understand the depths of what he is trying to say. He will change the way you look at life. Listen. Really listen.

Fixed vs. Growth – What Mindset is Writing Your Destiny ?

The Human Mind is probably one of the most complicated subjects to understand, to know how it works and why.

Scientist, Psychologists even Spiritual Gurus struggle everyday to give a definite answer to “How the mind works?”

It is difficult because, when you look at what’s happening really, it’s The Mind trying to understand itself.

Despite the battle of understanding itself our mind is having a constant battle with understanding everything that it isn’t, or at least what it perceives it isn’t.

Somewhere in the middle, our mind forms a mindset, a default filter through which it achieves optimal “success”, or at least it did sometime in the past.

Why am I saying “or at least..”? It is because not everything our mind does is 100% “The Best Way”, YOU or True. As much as you control it, another part, A LOT BIGGER part is a product of the environment you were raised in.

The environment like everything in The Universe changes through time. If some particular mindset worked for YOU then it doesn’t mean it works for you now.

And despite this, your Mind is just the part of The Whole as the other part is your Heart.

Why does our mindset stay the same if everything changes? It is because our mindset is a product of our consciousness, our soul, something not affected by time but by intentional focus.

Our Heart tells what we value the most, what holds meaning for us, what we attach Love to. Our Mind explains this through images and information. Our Mindset, the part in the middle, is responsible for filtering the information the best way to achieve most.

How Does Your Mindset Work?

MindsetOur mindset is based on the knowledge we have/had, the beliefs and information which shaped the neurons in our mind. However, not every belief you have is true and the same goes for the information your brain trusted to shape itself with.

This is why a lot of times the signal our heart sends to the mind is wrongly interpret and the other way around. It is also why the reality we perceive and live in strongly depends on our Mindset. It is the lens through which we see and interact with The World.

Sometimes our mindset, as much as it has a great intention, it blocks our true potential. We get stuck in the labyrinth of false beliefs and false information never being able to be who we really are.

Mainly there are 2 types of mindsets, Positive and Negative. The Positive one is the one who benefits YOU and The Negative one is the one who doesn’t.

Looking at this from a different level and angle, there are mainly Fixed and Growth type of mindsets.
