5 Reasons Why Introverts Are Often Misunderstood

0

It is highly probable that you or someone close to you is an introvert. Psychologists say that introverts are people who prefer being alone and that’s how they recharge.

Introverts, from the very childhood are labeled as Shy. They are often seen as people lacking social skills.

Some even call them as extremely self involved people. But this is far from the truth. Introverts are people who love to be with other people just like anyone else.

They are as different in variety as any extrovert. The difference is that introverts just recharge better when their are alone in their own world.

Because there are so many confusions and misunderstandings around this topic, here are 5 reasons why introverts are being misunderstood.

5 Reasons Introverts Are Misunderstood:why-introverts-are-often-misunderstood

1. Introverts are not shy.

Often, due to their tendency of speaking less in public, they are labeled as SHY. But actually, they are people who recharge when they are being alone. When they are surrounded by many people, their energy gets drained.

2. Introverts are not snobs.

Introverts do not talk to strangers not because they think of themselves as superiors, but because it is very difficult for them to talk to a stranger. They get very uncomfortable in situations like these. So they aren’t snobs at all.

3. Introverts love to socialize.

This might sound a little strange to you but this is actually true. Introverts can be very loud and fun at a family party. They’ll amuse and entertain you, but as soon as a stranger comes near them, they’ll hide back in their shell slowly.

4. Introverts are envious of extroverted people.

Majority of introverts envy the people who are outgoing and can get along with random people easily. In their hearts they also want to be very comfortable with the strangers, thus they cater great respect for people who can socialize.

5. Introverts are very introspective.

Most introverts like to sit quietly and think about themselves. They will analyze each and every situation, which often results in over thinking. Thus, they are not able to be a long time in larger crowds and they can’t even relax properly. They need alone time to function.

7 Rules You Should Follow To Stop Worrying About Things You Can’t Control

0

“Worry is a misuse of the imagination.” ― Dan Zadra

Most of your stress comes directly from the way you think, and not the way life actually is. If you just adjust your attitude, all that extra stress will be gone.

Worry is something that adds most to our suffering. We worry about the past, we worry about the future, and we forget the only thing that really exists, the present moment.

As we worry, we are stretched between the past and the future, and the countless possible and highly unlikely futures. We live everywhere but right here where we are really alive.

So what’s the purpose of worry? Why does worry exist if it’s just something that gives us stress, makes a lot of our suffering and blinds us to the now? Why do we worry?

Just like every other seemingly negative emotion and mental state, what we call worry is just an inflamed version of its naturalness. And it occurs because we feel powerless.

We have the ability to be alert and to predict possible danger. This mental state helped us survive and evolve to who we are today. But it’s not meant to be our default state.

There are things we cannot control in life and this realization makes us feel powerless, so we forget the only real power we have, the power to make a difference in the now.

We live in a state of alertness always expecting danger and we feel powerless over things we cannot control. These two states add up on each other and worry occurs. it’s a loop.

So how do we stop worrying so much? How do we decrease its intensity and stop stressing so much? Here are some rules you should follow that will help you stop worrying so much.

7 Rules You Should Follow To Stop Worrying:rules-you-should-follow-to-stop-worrying

1. You can always control your response.

You cannot control everything which goes around you, but you can, in fact, control the way you respond. The most significant power is in your response.

2. You should embrace the possibility of problems.

You should not worry about whether there will be problems. You should accept the possibility that there might be problems so that you can predict them more clearly and take precautions if necessary. There are going to be plenty of problems in your life, and you will succeed in solving all of them, but worrying about whether you will have problems is just creating another unnecessary problem you can go without.

3. You can control only the now.

If you are worried too much about what may happen, as well as winder too long about what might have been, you are going to ignore and entirely miss what is. You should realize that worrying is a misuse of your incredible creative energy. Instead of imagining the best, try bring it out of you in the present moment. That’s the only moment you can ever make a difference in, and worry takes away the only real power you have.

4. You can make a difference in the now.

Today is where you make your own choice. So, today you should choose grace over impatience, beauty over negativity, as well as presence over panic and so on. The biggest way to stop worrying is to come to the now.

5. You can always make a progress.

There is absolutely nothing about the present situation you are in to, even the aspects which you cannot control, which will prevent you from making progress, step by step.

6. You are still here.

You are still alive, and you are still breathing, so you should act like that. You should let go of what is wrong and grab hold of what is right. Also, make things happen, and then let them happen. You should learn, accept, explore, as well as create and experience every single day, one tiny step at a time.

7. You can make the best out of things that happen.

You can always clear your mind and make better choices. You can always take deep breaths and filter out negativity. Keep being mindful. Keep breathing profoundly, as things ultimately turn out best for people that make the best out of the way things turn out.

12 Brutally Honest Illustrations That Depict Everything That’s Wrong With Today’s Society

“The major function of art is to show society for what it really is, even if it is unflattering.” — Brad Blackman

For centuries, art has been a significant and you can argue even crucial part of every society.

Whether the artists’ purpose is to entertain, make a creative expression or promote something, the art that they make can leave an impact the spirit of society.

This is because art is the mirror of society. It is a mirror that reflects the unedited and unfiltered truth of that society and of the people comprising it.

Over the years, art has evolved and has taken many forms. We observe it in movies, hear it in songs, read it in inspiring stories and poems, see it in illustrations and paintings.

In the 1950’s, abstract expressionism became popular because of the people’s eagerness to break away from tradition.

In the 60’s, pop art took the world as a storm. It has splashed societies as the wave of radicalism swept the decade.

The 70’s was characterized by contemporary art movements while there was a surge of conservatism during the 80’s.

In the 21st century where we’re currently in, humanity is being faced with challenges that go along with the advancement in technology.

Hence, our contemporary artists’ theme revolve around these challenges to encourage us for a deeper reflection.

The drastic increase in outer connectedness that came out with the internet demands from us to drastically increase our inner connectedness with our selves.

We have come to a time where we are more connected with each other than ever before in all human history, but we feel more alone and disconnected from ourselves than ever.

This spiritual confusion has urged artists to create art for the purpose of transforming humanity, reminding us who we are and creating a positive change.

Even if it takes them to be brutally honest, they have to do it for us to realize what has become of us. In fact, art needs to be the beacon that’s always brutally honest.

Al Margen is one of those honest illustrators that we mentioned. Her work make us pause and ask ourselves whether we find ourselves in some of her illustrations.

As our world is undergoing a consciousness shift right now, we can contribute to this shift by starting the change in ourselves.

The following illustrations might be amusing,  but acting on them is the best way to put them into good use.

If we will put them into heart, if get their core message and act on it, we will have the power to transform our own corner of the world.

We can inspire others to do the same and create ripples that will ultimately make this world a much better place.

Timelapse Video Of The 13 Billion Years Journey The Universe Went Through To Create You

“The life that breathes me is home to all souls. We are children of stars, galaxies learning to walk, eternally at home.” — Unknown

According to scientists, The Universe as we know it, started to exist about 13.7 billion years ago, right after the Big Bang.

If we compare the human existence to that and compress it in a 10 minute video, we only existed until the last fraction of a second.

What does this mean for us? We will get back to the history of The Universe to get the incredible facts.

First, it took billions of years before our galaxy, the solar system and the earth were even formed.

Second, after the earth was formed 4.54 billion years ago, it took hundred millions of years before the very first life form came into existence.

Third, the first form of humanity to walk on earth was recorded around 2.5 million years ago. Since then, humanity has evolved into what we are today.

All of this means only one thing, that we are an evolving species contained in the continuum of the ever expanding cosmos.

We exist not as individuals but as a collective. Every particle that constitutes our cells and atoms is the same kind of particle that constitutes all the creations around us.

Our home is maybe this planet, but we come out from The Universe. Everything that we are comes out from The Universe.

And if we ask what triggered the famous Big Bang to occur we would be disappointed because there is no answer to this.

Scientists say some things happen for no reason at all. They just do. There was no time and space before the Big Bang. There might just only be total nothingness. Who knows?

In the story of creation, our individual lifespan appears as a speck of time, a tiny sand in the vast ocean that’s ever expanding as far as we know.

Yet, this doesn’t mean that our existence doesn’t mean a thing. Within ourselves is the energy of The Universe, the light of the stars, and the breath of an evolution in progress.

If we come to take a look at it, really take a closer look, we will see that our business on earth has nothing to do with pursuing material gains.

It has more to do with being with the flow of the ongoing process of creation, of becoming the light that we truly are.

The changing times are enough evidence that point us to a much bigger force that is at work. And this force is slowly shifting our perspectives in alignment to our true selves.

If we find that alignment, we will once again remember that we are all connected, that we are all one.

And if ever we come to doubt ourselves, we have to remember that an energy higher than ourselves took the time of crafting us and everything else.
