Russell Edwards is one of the coaches that we found this month and we did a little interview with him. He impressed us with his skills and confidence.
He started his coaching journey in 2020 and till now he acquired a lot of tools and coaching skills.
However, as he says, learning is a life long process so he is always learning and improving with a mission to become the best life coach in the world.
His coaching is incorporating NLP and CBT as primary approaches to help his clients rewire their minds and reprogram to be a more positive and confident version of themselves. Here is what he said.
Meet Life Coach Russell Edwards:
Name: Russell Edwards
Pillar: The Spirit, The Mind
Who is this coach for: Anyone who wants to become their real self again, to reprogram into more positive, happy, and confident person.
How they can help: Through various tools and techniques like the empty chair technique, Shad Helmstetter’s positive self talk, CBT and NLP, just to name a few.
First of all, how are you and your family doing in these Pandemic times?
We’re all doing really well.
Times have been tough, but thankfully we’re all healthy and happy.
How does the coronavirus pandemic affect your clients? Did it affect you at all?
I was lucky because it didn’t really affect me.
I work exclusively online with my clients, so there were no obstacles.
What are the biggest lessons that you learned in this pandemic?
To be more generous and kinder to people and to never again take for granted all the beauty in the world and all the freedoms that we have.
The pandemic was a wake up call.
Every time I am able to enter my gym now I am grateful, and being able to travel again is wonderful.
The Origin:
Tell us about you, your career, how you started with your coaching career?
My life coaching career began in 2020.
That’s when I first began advertising and attracting clients.
For many years I was a special needs teacher, but in 2017 I decided on a change in career because I had always been very interested in psychology.
I became a mental health worker in a supported living scheme for adults with severe and enduring mental illness.
While there I gained great experience in the psychology of the human mind and received training to be a keyworker and conducted psychodynamic counselling sessions with key clients every week.
While working in this field I studied for qualifications in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Coaching and Mentoring, and Neuro Linguistic Programming or NLP.
I also became a member of the Association for Coaching.
Once I had the qualifications and confidence to help people I decided to work for myself in private practice as a life coach.
What was your biggest obstacle that you had to overcome in your life that made you who you are today?
My lack of self belief, self confidence, and anxiety.
Through discovering CBT I was able to overcome my own personal issues.
For years I lived in my (un) comfort zone simply because I didn’t believe that I had what it took to work for myself and to live the life that I wanted to live.
I was plagued by self doubt and terrible anxiety.
The Coaching Style:
How do you innovate with coaching your clients?
I use a combination of CBT and NLP.
I am also a great believer in teaching clients how to use self talk therapy and Gestalt.
I use a holistic approach that focuses on every aspect of a client’s life.
What’s unique about your coaching approach?
I focus only on specific issues.
These are: anxiety, low self esteem, confidence issues, career progression, and relationship difficulties.
My approach is unique because I have personally suffered for many years from anxiety, low self esteem, and confidence issues.
This means that I have experienced what my clients are experiencing and can totally relate to them.
I am also 100% confident that if I was able to heal myself, I am also able to heal my clients.
What benefits do your clients get after working with you?
They get to be the real them again.
Their mind will have been rewired with positivity and their self doubts and anxieties will have been replaced with more realistic, healthier and positive thoughts.
They will become happy and confident people who believe in themselves and are able to achieve their goals.
Do you use any specific tools to be efficient with your clients?
Yes, I use a combination of CBT and NLP.
For example, in CBT I use imagery and role plays.
In NLP I use anchoring, timelines and the Circle of Excellence.
The empty chair technique from Gestalt and Shad Helmstetter’s positive self talk are also tools that I use a lot.
The Impact:
If you had a super megaphone that, when you speak into, the whole world will hear your message, what would you say?
Life coaching is a process that will never end for me.
I will never be the finished article because life to me is about constantly learning and being the best version of myself that I can be.
There is always more to learn and study.
This is what keeps me at the top of my game.
My aim is quite simple: to be one of the best life coaches in the world and to continue motivating people and helping them find happiness.
What is the greatest lesson you have learned in your life?
That you have to believe in yourself, and that the only person responsible for anything that happens in my life is me.
If you accept yourself, like yourself, and believe in yourself, you can achieve anything you want to achieve in life.
Being determined and never accepting defeat is also very important.
Your final thoughts?
Life coaching is the most fantastic job and I absolutely love it.
There is no better feeling than helping another person find the path to happiness.
I derive so much satisfaction from observing the transformation of my clients on their journey with me.
Where Can You Find Russell Edwards?
If you liked this interview and you would love to rewire your mind and reprogram to be the best version of your self, go to www.russellrkedwards.com and see how Russell can help you do that.
If you like to connect more personally with him, you can do that through LinkedIn and Facebook. It was an honor having this interview with him.
Renier Jooste is one of the coaches that we found this month and we did a little interview with him. He impressed us with his wisdom and experience.
He is a Sensitive, meaning that he is open to perceive a lot more information from the world around him. He can see patterns where others can’t. He can sense energy more acutely than a normal person. This can be a great burden because you FEEL the world intensely and deeply. But this ability can also teach you great lessons if you don’t run away from your emotions. It’s like learning life lessons on steroids.
His coaching approach is definitely the culmination of all the lessons he learned through his life. His skillset and toolbox for coaching are vast. But the path was far from easy, filled with pain and healing.
Through this journey Renier found a formula that can help anyone open their heart and become the highest version of themselves. Here is what he said.
Meet Life Coach Renier Jooste:
Name: Renier Jooste
Pillar: The Spirit, The Mind, The Heart
Who is this coach for: Anyone who wants to heal, change their mindset, beliefs, open their heart and embody their highest self.
How they can help: Through customized coaching, they combine various tools and techniques to guide you within, applying NLP, breathwork, walking and breathing and various other practices that all guide you back to your unique teacher within, practising their formula, the Open Acceptance Method (OAM). Through customized coaching and by using various techniques and tools like breathwork, NLP, meditation and, in some cases, plant based medicine, just to name a few.
First of all, how are you and your family doing in these Pandemic times?
We are doing well, thank you.
As the only certainty in life is change, the pandemic has been a fantastic reminder to accept what is, and take responsibility for what can be changed, our internal world.
This has been a unique opportunity to restructure many parts of our personal, business and family life during the ‘retreat’ of the pandemic.
We are blessed and are truly feeling the rewards of this new rhythm and lifestyle.
How does the coronavirus pandemic affect your clients? Did it affect you at all?
What has become clear to me through 23 years of facilitating personal development journeys and various inner transformation work is that there are many roads that lead to Rome.
It has become the trap of the information age and ‘self help’ world, there’s always something bigger and better on the buffet table.
But the truth is it really doesn’t matter what you do.
It matters much more that you actually do it.
When you do, you begin the process of undoing the blocks and clearing your energy centres so you are able to show up in the now, be present.
We like to say, chop wood, carry water because the work happens in the daily grind of life.
This is not a quick fix.
It is an authentic path of undoing the thought patterns, habits, and addictions that keep you stuck in suffering.
By showing up consistently, for yourself, and putting one foot in front of the other, meeting life’s challenges (like the pandemic) with acceptance rather than resistance, learning adjusting and listening instead of forcing, controlling and taking, will increase the level of love, joy and peace you expereience inside yourself, rather than depleting it (which makes you sick).
This is why our work is Self Love.
I use my grammar intentionally to highlight the distinction of the “Self” I am speaking of.
The Higher Self whom is one with all, rather than the ego self who is separate from all.
Happiness cannot be found “one day when”, it can only be experienced in the present.
Covid was an oversized example of how resistance to something you have no control over takes away your inner peace, weakens your immune system, and makes you more suseptible to illness.
Our clients practice OAM (Open Acceptance Method), which is simply the art of accepting what is with an open heart, so that it is done authentically.
Personally, I am very sensitive to the world outside but my journey has given me the tools and resources to be guided from within.
Because I value myself, I am very selective over what I put in my body.
This includes the food I eat but it goes much deeper than this.
I am intentional about the environments I go into, what I put into my mind, what I read and what I believe.
I think that is a big reason I was saved from much of the fear and suffering caused by the pandemic.
The pandemic was a time of deep introspection, looking, learning, looking again. Followed by a time of creation where we had the unique opportunity to focus on just one thing, recreating my formula online in a way that is easy to understand and apply, from anywhere in the world, at any time.
What are the biggest lessons that you learned in this pandemic?
The pandemic wasn’t this super significant event in my life because of all the practice I’ve had in acceptance.
I stand by the fact that the only constant in life is change and when we try to control the world of change to be how we want it, we hurt ourselves and the people around us.
It is much more loving and effective to open your heart in acceptance of what is.
During the pandemic the world stopped and everybody got a significant opportunity to turn inwards.
It was like a mass awakening and expansion.
There was so much light, love and healing that emerged through that time that it showed us on a grand scale, how everything is always changing and the importance of healing from within.
Everything comes at a price and because we live in the world of duality, the darkness that came from this virus was inevitable.
However, the real tool is to use these opportunities to get fit for change, which is to regulate your own reactions inside yourself, so you can show up for yourself (and the whole) from a place peace, love and power.
The Origin:
Tell us about you, your career, how you started with your coaching career?
I was sensitive as a child and the environment I grew up in triggered all my sensitivitites which made me angry.
Shy and observant I spent much time on the outside looking in.
The patterns I saw showed me stories of suffering, pain, hurt, sadness and anger plastered on the faces of the people around me.
At a young age I decided I wanted to change people’s faces for a living.
Of course, that meant I would have to experience my own wounding.
My sensitivity to the world around me made the pain I felt so intense that I had no choice but to find a way out of it.
At age 22 I made a decision to find another way.
My journey started with Reiki and Kinesiology, which gave me a good foundation and an experience of relief from my sensitivity.
Next, I found NLP, which really changed things for me.
From a young age I’ve had a gift of seeing patterns, and it didn’t take long to become obvious to me that most people don’t actually change their behaviour.
It is easy to understand stuff intellectually but much harder to actually do it.
Few choose something different.
For me it was different.
I could see, and I could feel (a lot) so my motivation and ability to choose something else were really high.
10 years into my own personal journey I began my career as a coach and went on to became an NLP Master Certified Practitioner and Hypnotherapist.
In the early days of my coaching business, I experienced a completely natural, almost altered state of mind, an incredible peace and stillness that started to come over me consistently when working with clients.
Everything else ceased to exist and I was just there, in the moment, being of service.
The results I saw from that space were miraculous.
I understand how the mind works and so I knew that if I had this incredible mental clarity in this one area of my life, I could have it in every area of my life.
My mission was set.
This has really been my life’s work and daily, moment by moment practice.
During my 17 year practice in NLP coaching, I studied and branched into anger management, conflict resolution, mediation, firewalking, breathwork, human behaviour, body language, microexpressions and more.
As I practised, and the patterns began to emerge I started to see how everything could be pointed back to a blockage in energy in one (or more) of the three major energy centres in the body: the head, the heart and the gut.
These energy centres are significant as they connect the upper three chakras (world of spirit) to the lower three chakras (world of form) in the heart.
When this energy is in flow, the heart is open.
When the heart opens, love, joy and peace are experienced.
When these three energy centres are in alignment, you align with the flow of life (energetically), which is just a fancy way of saying, you’re able to be present with what is.
Today we call it open acceptance, or OAM, but it really started in my little coaching office back in 2010.
In 2014 I found plant medicine (actually, it found me) and immediately I experienced the energy I already knew and understood in the human body, but amplified and in everything.
I understood the power and interconnectedness of it all and experienced I am one with all, and all is one.
I started using the medicine on myself as a way of studying it.
Together with my understanding of energy, the subconscious mind and mental reprogramming, the medicine started to show me a formula that significantly shortens the time required to experience breakthrough.
In 2016 I started incorporating plant medicine into the work I was doing with clients and the results were incredible.
The first client I worked with suffered from several ailments including obesity, addictions to several prescription medications which had left her hearing and sight severely impaired, and to top it off her mental and emotional state was depressed and suicidal.
In just 3 months working together, integrating my NLP process with psilocybin, she was completely free from all her pharmaceutical addictions, lost 15kg (33lb), was happy, healthy and full of life.
I went on to work with hundreds of clients over the following 4 year period (until the pandemic), refining and tweaking my process to became a formula for awakening: clear the unconscious blockages in the mind (beliefs and thoughts) with the unconscious blockages in the gut (trauma and emotions) in order for the heart to feel safe enough to open.
When the heart is open, the mind is still and able to awaken into the awareness of the Self greater than the little “I”, the separate self, identity of the ego.
You could call this your Higher Self, Holy Spirity, God, or simply love.
They’re all the same.
The formula works and has achieved awakening in every person who has truly wanted it and shown up for it.
However, not everybody showed up for it, and I got frustrated as I saw how the ‘medicine’ gets used as a misguided shortcut or magic pill, which of course, it is not.
Yes, the medicine severely shortens the time and deepens the impact, but unless you show up differently, because the only constant in life is change, the change you experienced will slowly slip back into old ways.
I saw many people get stuck in an endless cycle of going back for more without listening and practicing what their experience showed them.
When the pandemic started in 2020, the timing was good for me to stop medicine work and take time for me to go within, a forced closure of my coaching business due to the pandemic that has resulted in the blessing of an international coaching business today.
In the beginning of 2021 I started a personal and business relationship with Kathryn Woolf, who traveled her own 20 year journey in personal development.
Together we restructured and remodeled the formula into a completely online, no medicine required, formula for awakening: OAM or Open Acceptance Method. And an online course called Game of Life.
When the travel restrictions were lifted we could finally bring the 2 parts together and offer private and group online coaching, as well as private and group in person retreats and experiences, both using medicine (where helpful) and without it (because you do not need it).
What was your biggest obstacle that you had to overcome in your life that made you who you are today?
I was a super sensitive person that learnt through many painful experience that this world was dangerous and hurtful.
My experience showed me I needed to protect myself, which closed my heart and mind to everyone and everything.
This made me angry and unhappy and lead to several addictions in the outside world.
I experienced deeply the suffering of having a closed heart, mind and gut (body) and my greatest obstacle within myself was learning to let go of my fear, trauma and judgements to open my heart.
The Coaching Style:
How do you innovate with coaching your clients?
As I understand addiction and see patterns in the way I do, I can help you pinpoint the root of the problem or blockage in your mind, heart or gut and show you how to undo it, in order to install a new powerful behaviour in your subconscious mind.
This results in new, powerful patterns, and an experience of authentic breakthrough in your life.
Also, what I really do is teach presence.
That is all any of us need to do, be present, curious, listen and learn.
You will see that you are being uniquely guided by your unique teacher within.
I cannot do it for you (neither can the medicine), nor can I tell you, but I can show you (as my energy centres are clear), the power of being present with love in the now.
The healing that happens from this space always innovates, because only the present is eternally relevant.
What’s unique about your coaching approach?
The thing is, everybody is unique.
And nobody can tell you how YOU works.
How do you feel love? How do you give love? How do you feel happiness? Peace? Joy?
It’s one thing experiencing these things momentarily, with the guidance of something or someone outside yourself, but quite another to carry this with you through your daily life, off the mat, meditation chair or retreat.
This is where we are different.
We won’t give you anything that you can’t use in real life, when the rubber hits the road.
We share with you an experience that you will remember, so that you actually change your behaviour, not because you’ve been told what to do, but because you REMEMBER YOU.
What benefits do your clients get after working with you?
I think the best way to do this is share a real life story of a real life client in her own words.
Jonessa came to me looking for confidence and mindset coaching before her first marathon.
We had a total of 3 sessions together, including 1 in person private day coaching.
I think you’ll see how this is so much more than ‘life coaching’.
This is a part of her testimonial:
“It was important for me that we could have a pre session online and I could build a bit of trust and share my expectations and fears with him.
The work he gave me in preparation was certainly unusual.
I knew from the get go that I had to keep an open mind.
Everything he did was unusual. But he made me feel safe and I was open to him and felt I could trust him.
I didn’t know what to expect but the unusual preparation and homework, got to set my expectations up that this was going to be different and I kept an open mind to the process.
I felt very definitely and beautifully guided in the process.
Because of our first online meeting, I had the ability to just trust a fellow participant in the process.
I really felt I was being partnered with and could be an active participant in the process.
I felt that I wasn’t alone.
There were so many synchronicities on race day to the day we spent together but the analogy of the puppet on the string really helped me see how the whole process works.
I saw what to allow and what not to allow in my mind, which really enabled me to react differently when things went wrong.
10km before the finish I tripped and fell.
If I hadn’t had seen Renier I wouldn’t have had the courage to continue.
I also wouldn’t have been so rested and calm, especially the night before.
I’ve never been able to control my thoughts, I’m a worrier. I look at what can go wrong and try prepare myself for every eventuality.
Because of that, by the time I start I’m normally a ball of nerves.
This time I had a relaxed experience.
When the start came I knew I was prepared and calm and had the resources to handle anything.
My intent was very clear and my day had purpose, which carried me through some difficult times.
I found myself in a position where I could be more present.
I’ve seen that life will still happen, its just what we do with when life happens.
How we react.
On the mountain Renier said to me once you experience you can never go back, and I now understand that that shift has taken place permanently.
This is not a plaster that you stick on or an affirmation that you put into your mind that’s a superficial layover.
This is a deep belief that’s going to ultimately, on the day, when its crunch time and when it counts, help you move through a difficult experience successfully. — Jonessa De Bruin
Do you use any specific tools to be efficient with your clients?
Yes! Breathe! Deeply, in your stomach.
In fact, you can take 10 deep, conscious breaths right now!
I’ve explained the importance of having an open heart, mind and body, and that there are many techniques that can help you achieve this.
Breathe is one of our most powerful practices and the easiest tool (that’s also free and abundantly available) to bring yourself back to the present moment.
The mind is fueled by oxygen and without it, it is more likely to become overactive and not shut up.
The Impact:
If you had a super megaphone that, when you speak into, the whole world will hear your message, what would you say?
Love is inside you!!!
Shout it from the rooftops.
Open your heart and receive it.
First within, then without.
You can only give what you’ve got.
You cannot love another until you love yourself, because until then where is your love to give?
Wake up and love yourself by valuing yourself, listening to yourself and being kind to yourself and you’ll finally find the peace, joy and happiness you’re really looking for.Inside you.
Nowhere else.
What is the greatest lesson you have learned in your life?
To live in the abundance of life, and be super grateful and humble to receive the oxygen that I breathe, the water that I drink and the light I receive every single day.
We make life so complicated with what we think we want but when we come back to only to what we need, suddenly our perspective changes from lack to abundance.
Your final thoughts?
Everybody just wants happiness and love, but its so easy to walk around feeling hurt and angry because we don’t feel happy or loved that we forget the fact that we can only give what we’ve got.
If we do not give it to ourselves, we cannot give it to anyone else, and giving it to ourselves is the only consistent and relyable way to experience it.
In fact, the truth is, it’s the only way to experience authentic love, peace and happiness.
We like to make it all so complicated but it’s really not.
In fact it’s in our making it complicated that we move further away from the very thing we seek.
Love is inside us.
It’s the only place it exists and it can only be accessed through the present moment.
Hang out in the present and the experience is yours.

Wendy Yehia is one of the coaches that we found this month and we did a little interview with her. She impressed us with her vast skillset, experience, and holistic approach.
Her coaching focuses on women who want to step into their divine feminine power and ignite that magical spark within.
She approaches her clients holistically to help them transform into the best version of themselves, but most importantly, she walks the talk.
She has been through a lot in her own life. All that she overcame taught her a lesson that she now teaches other women to make them feel less alone in their healing journey. Here is what she said.
Meet Life Coach Wendy Yehia:
Name: Wendy Yehia
Pillar: The Spirit, The Mind, The Body, The Heart
Who is this coach for: Women who want to step into their divine feminine power.
How they can help: Among the coaching she uses different techniques and tools like meditation, breath work, Reiki Energy Healing sessions, positive affirmations and journaling, setting up nutritional meal plans, just to name a few.
First of all, how are you and your family doing in these Pandemic times?
We are doing great! Thank you for asking Dejan.
When the first lockdown happened, we were already at home getting ready to study our Massage Therapy course.
While the world was in panic mode, we saw this as an opportunity to spend time together as a family, focus on the simpler things in life, strengthening our bond and appreciating what we have.
We had fun!
I have always been an “outside of the box” thinker and didn’t follow the narrative.
I believe we all have an immune system that can help us fight off any virus or bacteria.
We did have some challenges in Canada when the vaccine mandates were imposed on our family, which pushed us to take a major leap of faith and leave Canada for our safety, survival and freedom, and start a new life in Egypt last year.
The uncertainty of living in Canada with the rising costs of housing, food, job market the mandates caused, was our motivation to leave.
We are so glad that we did.
We are proof that any life challenge can be overcome, you just need to be willing to leap into the unknown, trust the process and go with the flow without fear of the outcome!
How does the coronavirus pandemic affect your clients? Did it affect you at all?
The pandemic has had a huge negative impact on the whole world.
It has created so much fear, hopelessness, anxiety and loneliness in society.
As humans, we need connection.
The social distancing, isolation and fear caused by the pandemic has severed this crucial connection and has spiraled humanity into a crisis.
The number of people suffering from Anxiety, Fear, Depression, PTSD has quadrupled at an alarming rate since 2020.
Many people, including friends and family reached out to me in desperation for help during the past 2 years.
Some were suicidal and couldn’t take the isolation and stress anymore.
I am grateful that I was able to help and guide them in their time of need.
Some are now regular coaching clients.
As for myself, the pandemic helped me better myself and awaken my full potential as a person and as a coach.
What are the biggest lessons that you learned in this pandemic?
This pandemic was a lesson for the world, a Wake Up call!
It was a knock, a sign to teach us to slow down, to be grateful and enjoy the beauty that each and every day brings.
Here are the biggest lessons:
1. Be compassionate and kind towards yourself and others.
2. Respect your brothers and sisters, even with your differences and beliefs. WE are all one!
3. Let go of fear and learn to live your life from your heart, in the present moment, trusting the process.
4. Trust your intuition and listen to your body.
5. You are in control of your life and your health.
6. Take care of your Mind, Body and Soul.
The Origin:
Tell us about you, your career, how you started with your coaching career?
I am originally from the small town of Rogersville, New Brunswick, Canada, now living in Cairo, Egypt Mom of 4 beautiful daughters.
I am a Divine Feminine Holistic Wellness Coach, Reiki Energy Healer, Lightworker and Massage Therapist.
I am also homeschooling my 2 youngest daughters.
I have always been a life coach naturally, I just didn’t realize my potential until very recently.
People, even strangers, have always been attracted to my empathic nature.
I can be at the grocery store check out and people start to talk to me, telling me their life stories.
I often get private messages on Facebook from people asking me for advice, telling me they feel they can trust me and open up to me.
In 2019, I left the corporate world, and my secure government job with the RCMP Canadian Firearms Program, to pursue my soul’s calling to help humanity on their healing journey.
I enrolled in a Massage Therapy program and also, studied Reiki Levels 1 and 2.
I am currently working on getting my Reiki Masters.
In 2020, when the pandemic took center stage, I decided to blend my passion for serving humanity and holistic wellness together and, founded The Holistic Healing Hub.
A Mind, Body, and Soul wellness hub to share holistic living tips and promote my services.
This year, 2022, was a huge year of transformation for me.
I had a vision to launch my holistic wellness business online for 2 years, but didn’t know how.
I connected with 4 amazing passionate marketing mentors and invested in their Passionate Marketing coaching program.
They helped me narrow down my passions, release my limiting beliefs, be my true authentic self, gave me valuable coaching and marketing tools and, my life coaching career was officially launched.
Helping others in need has always been a passion of mine.
I always knew deep in my heart that I was meant for something greater and, here to make a difference in the world.
I am in my element and living to my purpose by being a beacon of light to help humanity through these chaotic and turbulent times.
What was your biggest obstacle that you had to overcome in your life that made you who you are today?
My biggest obstacle was myself!
All my life, I struggled with not feeling good enough, self confidence, guilt, shame, worrying about what others thought of me and depression.
The birth of my first born daughter, triggered a severe post partem depression which sent me spiraling down a very deep dark tunnel which lasted many years.
Motherhood is a transformation, a rebirth which changes your whole perspective on life.
It is a gift, but also the most demanding job and nothing can prepare you for it.
You have to experience it to really understand.
Becoming a mother, was also a catalyst for a major spiritual awakening for me.
It made me question who I was, my purpose and more.
I realize now, that my past childhood traumas and sexual abuse were the triggers.
We are not taught tools to cope and release these heavy emotions associated with trauma, and if not dealt with it, it stays trapped and follows us into adulthood causing a plethora of issues in our lives.
After many dark nights of the soul, I worked hard on myself and did the Inner work.
This introspection allowed me to fully heal from my own past traumas and life challenges, change my mindset, step into my power and BE my true unique self as the free sovereign living breathing woman that I am.
I am finally healed! If I could do it anyone can.
The Coaching Style:
How do you innovate with coaching your clients?

It’s a safe and sacred space where they will get support and connect with other women on their healing journey.
I host weekly webinars and masterclasses covering many different topics including trauma, toxic relationships, personal growth, mindset, spirituality and holistic living offering a variety of tools and tips.
I believe in sisterhood… My motto is “Women who gather together… Heal together” as a collective!
I am always striving to learn new skills, techniques and knowledge to better serve my clients
What’s unique about your coaching approach?
By being ME!
I offer a heart centered approach, tailored to fit with each client’s unique personality and life journey.
By healing myself from my own life struggles, and walking the walk, I can so relate to my clients’ own challenges.
I have been where they are and, it’s a very lonely path.
I offer them an empathetic friendly ear, supporting them and guiding them along the way.
No one should have to go through it alone.
I have made it my mission and purpose to help as many women as possible heal and become the best versions of themselves.

By Dr. Dolores Fazzino, DNP, Nurse Practitioner, Medical Intuitive
As a healthcare provider for over 40 years, I have seen first hand how people give their power of decision making regarding their health and wellness to something outside of themselves, in this case the healthcare system.
I know that this extends beyond the healthcare industry to every situation where a person needs to make a choice.
It seems it is easier to have someone or something on the outside of ourselves to make a choice for us, instead of checking in with ourselves to get the correct, aligned, and perfect choice for us.
It also takes away from our personal responsibility to ourselves, by allowing someone or something else to make decisions that may not be in our best interests.
We have witnessed this recently, where the government or society makes choices for the greater good and enforces that you abide by these demands.
Sometimes our internal wisdom is saying something counter to what is being presented.
It is our right as a sovereign being to have free will and to make choices for ourselves no matter if they are in alignment with what the external world is demanding or not.
Choose for yourself!
Too often people follow the external voice.
They are considered obedient, loyal, and or following the herd.
Too often it may be too difficult to stick up for yourself and easier to give in and go along with the others.
Too often people feel guilty, shamed, or even bullied by the external, and feel powerless to have a voice or trust their inner wisdom or intuition.
In truth, you have access to all your inner wisdom.
It is a wealth of information, that can guide and lead you on your path, if you so choose to listen to it.
We are all intuitive beings, however some choose to ignore it, not listen to it, and even forget that we all have power, if we choose to hear it and honor it, no matter what.
For your health and wellbeing, you have access to your own inner physician, the innate wisdom you carry in your body, mind, and soul. Unfortunately, you rarely tap into this advice and by default take the advice of something or someone outside of you to help make your decisions, particularly the ones about your health and wellbeing.
Though this is subtle, this is an example of giving your power away to something outside of yourself.
Another example maybe having a feeling that you shouldn’t do something, but you ignore it and do it anyway, and then live to regret your decision.
This is how you are not listening to your inner wisdom and giving your power away to something outside of yourself.
3 Steps to Take Your Power Back:
Now that you are aware of what is happening, you have a choice as to what you want to create for yourself.
Here are Three steps to take back your personal power:
1. Take Inventory.
Where in your life do you give your power away? Maybe with your health, relationships, or something else? Have you ever had those inner wisdom moments or intuitive hits where you decided no to trust that knowledge, chose something different and lived to regret it?
2. Quiet your mind.
Learn to be in your body, feel, and experience the present moment.
Step out into nature, listen to relaxing instrumental music, or music of high hertz frequency, or maybe listen to a guided meditation to ground yourself into your body.
3. Listen for your inner wisdom and trust it.
Connect with your inner wisdom, that voice with in which allows you to access your body, mind, and soul needs.
The first thing you feel, hear, and or sense is usually the right response.
We often talk ourselves out of it, rationalize, or justify ourselves as to why this is not so or the right response for us.
Alev Bayrak is one of the coaches that we found this month and we did a little interview with her. She impressed us with her courage and strength of character.
Her coaching approach is all about bringing more clarity for her clients by deeply listening and showing them angles to look at they were not aware of. All of her clients report a feeling like they have been finally heard after one session.
She is a caring soul and she was consulting and supporting people even before she became a coach.
Her life was not easy, but she learned great lessons through all the hard times, especially through her battle with a serious illness and the recovery after it. Here is what she said.
Meet Life Coach Alev Bayrak:
Name: Alev Bayrak
Pillar: The Mind
Who is this coach for: Anyone who wants to find clarity and feel heard.
How they can help: Through listening and using various techniques like breathing exercises, meditation, and oracle cards.
First of all, how are you and your family doing in these Pandemic times?
I’m actually doing good, recovering from cancer I’m actually in remission 😊.
My family is doing well. They had a very hard 2, 3 years during the pandemic, but I think we’re coming to the other side of it all.
Obviously the pandemic has made a very unpleasant impact on us all, but also has made us more thankful for what we have and who we have in our hearts and life’s.
How does the coronavirus pandemic affect your clients? Did it affect you at all?
No because all of my sessions are online and via zoom, etc.
What are the biggest lessons that you learned in this pandemic?
My biggest lessons during this pandemic is appreciation and being grateful for what you have and, most importantly, kindness, compassion for others who are struggling and who are less fortunate then us.
The Origin:
Tell us about you, your career, how you started with your coaching career?
Well I’m actually apart from a life coach I’m also a carer, I work in the community, but due to the cancer I’ve cut my hours down. Also I used to look after end of life patients, which in the end has been very hard emotionally.
I had one patient whom I looked after 7 days a week 12 hours a day, I was there till to end.
Very hard, but very rewarding too.
After my patient passed away I started to think I can’t do this anymore, so I myself felt lost and couldn’t find my way towards my career, had no idea what to do.
I actually remember sitting there and crying and feeling hopeless and lost.
But then my sister said to me you have counselling skills and psychology why don’t you do something with that?
That’s when I decided to become a life coach.
So took on courses and books, got my certification and did a lot of practices and gave a lot of freebie’s.
Now I’m here.
What was your biggest obstacle that you had to overcome in your life that made you who you are today?
Oh wow that’s a good question, my biggest obstacle had to be having self doubt and not having any confidence in myself.
But with life being the way it is, I’ve learnt that I have to be strong and stand on my own two feet, for example during my cancer treatment, after my third surgery, I woke up from a coma.
Obviously had no idea what was going on, after I got home I could barely walk, but I remember standing infront of the mirror and not recognising myself, I remember saying to myself Alev you need to be strong, get back to how you were, you have family relying on you.
After that even though I could barely walk I forced myself to take a few steps each day until I was able to walk and gain my strength back.
The Coaching Style:
How do you innovate with coaching your clients?
I firstly have a chat with my clients to see how things are what they’re needs are.
Being an empath I can usually sense and feel what they are feeling.
According to that, I then adapt to their needs and what they want.
Also by using my oracle cards during the course of the session, it kind of confirms the situation that they are in.
What’s unique about your coaching approach?
By being present and being in the moment with my client, also being an empath helps.
I also use oracle cards during the session if required.
What benefits do your clients get after working with you?
I’ve been told that they feel listened to and helped to find clarity.
Do you use any specific tools to be efficient with your clients?
Breathing Exercises, Meditation, and oracle cards.
The Impact:
If you had a super megaphone that, when you speak into, the whole world will hear your message, what would you say?
Make most of your life, do what makes you happy.
What is the greatest lesson you have learned in your life?
My greatest lesson I’ve learned in my life has to be, unfortunately you can’t trust everyone.
Also, to forgive not for the person who has wronged you but for yourself.
Life is too short and precious to hold on to grudges, forgive but don’t forget and keep your distance.
Your final thoughts?
My final thoughts have to be, life is so precious, don’t always try to make everyone happy because that’s impossible.
And also, follow your dreams, despite everything just keep going.

Nursing remains one of the most challenging jobs in the healthcare industry.
The need for nurses is expected to rise by 9% through 2030.
And while the stats predict nursing to stay a secure profession in the future, it does not eradicate the fact that it is physically and emotionally draining to be a part of this profession.
Nurses are filled with compassion and seek contentment in helping others. Unfortunately, all of this comes at the cost of their physical and emotional well being.
Long working hours and high risk emergencies are typical in this profession.
Hence, there is a high chance of struggling with striking the right work life balance.
In addition, it might affect their relationships, leading to complaints from family and friends.
So, it is high time that nurses try to achieve a work life balance for their professional and personal development.
We understand that it might be tricky to do this. So we have prepared a list of ways to help you get by.
6 Tips How to Maintain a Healthy Work Life Balance:
1. Make time for yourself.
Work and family are not the only ones who need your time.
There should be times in the week designated only for yourself.
Watch a movie or read a book in the name of self care.
A day alone at the spa will also not hurt you. It is going to give you the strength to face the following days.
You do not have to do anything extravagant for your “me time.”
Do whatever brings you happiness, be it a hobby you have been unable to pursue.
Technological advancements make it easier than ever to have more time for yourself.
Even the nurses who wish to advance their career can enroll in online BSN to DNP programs instead of managing on campus classes, work, and home.
It will help you save time usually wasted in commuting to college.
So, while you make adjustments in your life and try to balance everything, opt for things that make it easier for you to achieve the work life balance.
2. Acceptance is key.
It is human nature to avoid admitting things we find unfavorable.
These can also be the fact that your personal and social life is being affected by your job.
Change begins by identifying and accepting the need for action.
Acknowledge that there are stimuli in your environment that trigger stress.
It is impossible to block all of these.
However, some are in your control.
Acceptance will help you target those and work towards betterment.
3. Understand what people expect from you.
Sometimes we get burnt out by working more than we are supposed to.
This is because we assume that making an extra effort will reap better results.
However, the immediate gain is not worth the long-term harm that this does.
Sit with your loved ones and communicate the expectations they have from you and vice versa.
Doing this will give you a clearer idea of your responsibilities towards them.
Do the same with your employer.
Ensure that you are aware of the obligations your job entails.
Let your higher authority know that going beyond the set expectation would not serve you well.
Communication is key to the success of this tip.
4. Fill your plate proportionally.
It is usually in your hands to commit or not to a work or personal obligation.
Ensure that you only take up tasks and responsibilities that you can handle.
Guggling with too much work simultaneously can ruin your work life balance.
Add things to your schedule proportionately.
Feel free to say no to any invitations or requests if you can not manage them simultaneously.
Doing this does not mean you are not serious about your work or relationships.
It only indicates that you care about them enough to ensure quality in whichever responsibilities you have.
5. Prioritize your health.
You will only be able to fulfill all obligations when you feel well. Unfortunately, it is easy for us to forget to take care of ourselves on the go.
Hence, plan how you wish to manage your physical and mental health.
Nurses usually get small breaks in between shifts. Unfortunately, they also reach home too tired to cook a meal themselves.
This results in either ordering takeout or nibbling on leftovers they do not want.
The best way to solve this issue is meal prepping.
Meal prepping is a relatively new concept where people cook their meals for the entire week altogether.
They choose a single day to go grocery shopping and cook all the meals.
These get stored in airtight containers and go into the fridge.
They have to heat them and eat them according to the planned menu.
Doing this allows nurses to quickly pack a healthy lunch in their work bags and eat during shifts.
Moreover, the next time they come home tired, they will not have to cook a whole meal. It will already be prepared.
Exercising is another way to keep your physical and mental well being in check.
Nurses must make time to do stamina-building workouts.
Joining a 2 hour gym class is not necessary for this.
A quick 15 minute workout in the morning is enough.
Moreover, yoga can be great for regulating your emotions.
Put on a short meaningful podcast and do yoga to ground yourself.
Mely Nieves is one of the coaches that we found this month and we did a little interview with her. She impressed us with her strength of character and dedication.
Her coaching is all about helping you find faith that anything is possible.
She is always learning and improving her skillset to be able to better help her clients.
She has been overcoming obstacles successfully since her very childhood. She was born without hands, and yet, she reached more goals than majority of people. Here is what she said.
Meet Life Coach Mely Nieves:
Name: Mely Nieves
Pillar: The Spirit, The Heart
Who is this coach for: Anyone who wants to be inspired to believe that they can do anything they want in life.
How they can help: By using a customized coaching according to each client’s needs.
First of all, how are you and your family doing in these Pandemic times?
I am in good health, but my family was one of those affected by the virus and they are barely recovering from the consequences of this disease.
How does the coronavirus pandemic affect your clients? Did it affect you at all?
The only thing that I perceived that there was some affectation was that at the beginning of the pandemic.
Many people in Latin America did not have a computer or cell phone, they didn’t even have an internet connection, so it was difficult to provide coaching digitally.
Nowadays, society has already made a great effort to adapt to the digital modality and they have realized that there are many benefits, from saving time and money, as well as being able to be anywhere to receive quality care.
What are the biggest lessons that you learned in this pandemic?
Lesson number one was that I had to learn about digital marketing to capture people and above all what they were convinced of taking online coaching.
The second lesson was that I had to quickly learn how to use video conferencing platforms at an expert level so that there would be no hiccups during the process.
The Origin:
Tell us about you, your career, how you started with your coaching career?
I have always been a person who likes to help and inspire others, that’s why at the age of 19 I started giving motivational talks to children and young people in schools and vulnerable groups.
But I knew that I needed to give something more to have a positive impact on society, so I discovered online coaching.
And then I started the master’s degree in organizational coaching because it made me a very nice career, since it guided in a more methodical and precise way.
But at the same time, I realized that every person has a story in which we as coaches have to adapt to support them effectively, providing a service with a humanistic and transformative sense.
What was your biggest obstacle that you had to overcome in your life that made you who you are today?
My biggest obstacle was the physical disability (I have no arms).
That as such for me and my family has been a great challenge.
In the educational sphere, my dear mother was the one who raised the awareness of the rulers, teachers and the entire student community so that they would accept me in a public school for ordinary children.
While in the workplace it has been complicated because there is still no real inclusion for people with disabilities to be inserted in government institutions or the private sector, causing most of us to have to work independently.
Since socially speaking, creating a culture of inclusion has been difficult but not impossible.
But thank God, I have achieved many things… from studying, practicing different sports, being with political personalities, traveling, etc.
And in the workplace, it has been a great satisfaction for me, because thanks to my effort and tenacity I continue to help and motivate people of all ages.
The Coaching Style:
How do you innovate with coaching your clients?
In constant learning, so I enter courses, certifications, diplomas, etc.
And in this way, I have the exact tools for each specific situation.
In addition, I understood that we must have some knowledge about different professional fields to carry out coaching effectively.
Making customers feel satisfied with the process because their expectations are met.
What’s unique about your coaching approach?
The only special thing that the clients themselves have mentioned to me is that just by seeing me they are motivated to want to improve something in their lives.
Generating a sensitive, empathetic coaching process and, above all, a space for much reflection and awareness.
What benefits do your clients get after working with you?
The greatest benefit is that they leave with a different perspective on life and with the certainty that they can do anything they set out to do, that it is only a matter of putting their talent and intelligence to the maximum.
In addition, to always keep an open mind towards others.
Do you use any specific tools to be efficient with your clients?
No, I think that each process has its magic.
So, I focus on the client’s needs, obviously following the ethics of coaching.
The Impact:
If you had a super megaphone that, when you speak into, the whole world will hear your message, what would you say?
I always use my motto as an example of Love, Respect, Enjoy:
LOVE what you do, because when you work with passion everything flows in a positive way, but obviously to achieve success we must dedicate time and effort.
RESPECT every living being that is on earth, by this I mean that we put moral values into practice, since this will make it easier to have greater opportunities in different areas.
ENJOY every minute of your story, because each one of us is unique and therefore we have the right to be happy in our own way.
What is the greatest lesson you have learned in your life?
My greatest lesson in life is that everything is possible, as long as we are people with humility, sincerity, enthusiasm and a vocation.
With these qualities, we meet successful men and women who seek to bring about a change in their social environment.
Your final thoughts?
That life is beautiful and make the most of it.
When you work with enthusiasm and discipline, it always pays off. Never give up.
Where Can You Find Mely Nieves?

As the winter approaches, everyone works on making prompt adjustments to get settled into the new season.
You might dislike the harsh climate or love the snow and the merriments the season brings.
But one common thing is the desire to stay healthy and not let yourself go during these lazy months
10 Ways to Stay Healthy this Winter:
The cold weather gives you an excuse to stay indoors, wrap yourself up in a fleece throw, sit by the fireplace, and enjoy the freshly baked batch of warm cookies with a cup of coffee.
This presents a wonderful picture, and you will likely succumb to its lure too.
While enjoying a cozy night is fine, you must ensure your health gets the attention it needs.
Here are ten tips you can incorporate into your daily winter routine to stay fit and healthy.
1. Don’t turn to addictive beverages.
Winter brings shorter days, less activity, and a decrease in sun exposure, which impacts your motivation and mood.
Moreover, you find yourself turning to beverages like alcohol to spend your cold nights comfortably.
However, several studies over the years have shown alcohol may seem like an ideal winter beverage because it makes you feel warm, but it actually lowers your core body temperature, irrespective of the outside weather, and makes you more susceptible to hypothermia.
In addition, it affects your productivity and often becomes the cause of addiction.
To avoid spiraling downward this winter, do not depend too much on alcohol.
If you need a detox, you can visit a rehab center for the service.
Our team member had a problem last winter and decided to do go to a rehab center.
He says it helped him tremendously to improve his mindset and mood. He highly suggests getting help if you feel like you need it.
If you need help like him, you can visit www.delphihealthgroup.com for more information and to improve your mindset over time rather than merely providing a temporary fix.
2. Maintain a healthy diet.
A healthy diet is, without a doubt, the most important way to stay fit and well throughout the winter season.
Try to maintain your nutrition levels and keep up with your body’s needs.
Make fruits and vegetables an essential part of your daily diet.
Head over to the local farmer’s market to obtain fresh seasonal produce.
At the same time, try to get an appropriate amount of carbohydrates, proteins, and fats in your body to give you the energy you need to stay active.
A healthy mind and a healthy body mean a secure immune system, which will ensure your protection against viruses that an unhealthy body is more likely to contract.
Besides eating well, staying active is paramount to maintaining healthy body weight.
A chilly winter reduces productivity and motivation significantly, making returning to an active lifestyle challenging if not addressed promptly.
A study published by the New England Journal of Medicine (NEJM) examined the phenomenon of winter weight gain, and the results showed an average net gain of 2.22 kg.
Working up a sweat every now and then will give you the energy boost you need to get through the day.
So, put on your jacket and go for an early morning jog.
If the weather is too cold outside, you can also visit the gym that has a heater.
4. Ensure that you receive enough vitamin D.
Most people struggle with receiving adequate sun exposure in the winter.
This lack of sunlight corresponds directly to the Vitamin D levels in the body.
Keep your vitamin D levels in check by spending at least one hour outdoors on clear sunny days.
On rainy days when that is not an option, try to include other sources of Vit D in your diet.
These include fatty fish like tuna, salmon, sardines, and mackerel.
Other dietary sources rich in Vit D are egg yolks, cheese, and beef liver.
It is also possible to find products with artificially added nutrients, such as orange juice, dairy, and plant milk enriched with vitamin D.
5. Maintain good hygiene.
In a season when germs spread easily and the immune system usually already has its guard down, it is necessary to maintain good personal hygiene.
Wash your hands regularly and thoroughly.
When you are out for the day and lack access to a washroom, carry a sanitizer with you.
Ensure that it is certified by your national or local health board to confirm that it is by WHO guidelines.
6. Talk to your doctor.
You can take all necessary care of your hygiene, consume a well rounded diet, and cover all bases at your end, but sometimes a tough bacterium or virus still makes its way past your protective barrier.
And winter colds are not something to take lightly either.
It is worth visiting your doctor to check your health even if you feel healthy to avoid ending up in such a situation where catch a cold because of lack of nutrients or vitamins.
7. Do not hesitate to layer up.
With the temperatures dropping by multitudes, do not be shy to layer up in warm sweaters and jackets.
Dress smartly and avoid wearing short dresses to the New Year’s Eve party.
Instead, opt for something cozier.
A moment of not being properly covered up in the freezing temperature may cause you to suffer for weeks with a cold.
So ensure to include woolen and other thermo regulating materials in your winter wardrobe.
8. Consume warm fluids.
A healthy body temperature ensures the immune system’s vitality and maximum function.
A cup of tea, a cup of coffee, and a bowl of soup are exactly what you need.
The caffeine in tea and coffee will also help you wake up on a gloomy winter morning.
9. Moisturize your skin.
The chilly winter months can be unforgiving to the skin.
Effects can range from dry and chapped lips to itchy and hyper pigmented skin.
To stay healthy through the winter, you should invest in a good moisturizer.
Purchase a lip balm that hydrates your lips to prevent them from drying out.
