Here is How to Predict Fertility and Pregnancy Using Astrology

Astrology can provide a potent tool to assist you in achieving your family planning objectives…

Increasing your chances of conception by keeping track of your fertility…

Watching for signs of an unplanned pregnancy…

In short, Astrology can be used to forecast fertility and organize pregnancies.

Take a deep breath, let these astrology related fertility facts calm your nerves, and use them to improve your fertility, or let’s call it conception calendar.

(This isn’t just to prepare for the delivery you’re hoping for).

How to Predict Fertility and Pregnancy Using Astrology:

how-to-predict-fertility-using-astrology

The Moon’s Impact.

Women’s menstrual cycles match the 29.5 day lunar cycle almost exactly.

That’s probably just a coincidence, says hard science, but astrology says it means something different for each person.

What do we know about the moon and monthly cycles?

The majority of women reach their peak fertility around the new moon and start menstruating 10 days after the full moon.

Younger women are more likely to “sync up” with the moon’s phases.

Czech fertility specialist Dr. Eugen Jonas asserts that every woman has a different relationship between the moon and fertility.

Sounds reasonable? Here is an online calculator that uses his approach to forecast when you will be most fertile.

The moons and fertility: Is it illogical?

The moon’s phases appear to be related to a variety of human experiences.

These experiences include epileptic seizures, motorcycle accidents, and stock market peaks.

Additionally, tides (and our over 90 percent water bodies) are thought to be influenced by the moon’s phase.

Everybody is unique.

Every woman’s ovulation cycle is different, just like every astrological chart.

A traditional ovulation calculator is a good place to start learning about your own lunar fertility relationship.

There are many compelling links between the moon and fertility, but it’s essential to keep in mind that every woman is completely unique.

Covering all the bases when using astrology to increase fertility and deliver babies.

As you can see from the information above, there are a few different schools of thought when it comes to monitoring your fertility using the moon.

But actually covering all of your “moon bases” is not that difficult.

The Dr. Jonas method states that each cycle has two fertile periods for women:

1. The moon will be in the same phase as it was when she was born.

2. When she ovulates, which can be observed using a conventional ovulation calendar like the one provided by WebMD.

In addition to Dr. Chenette’s research, you may also be experiencing “spontaneous ovulation,” which can be brought on by astrology and other factors.

You should also pay attention to the new moon, or dream about pregnancy, which some observers have noted has a strong historical connection to conception.

Moon Signs and Astrological Houses that Promote Conception and Pregnancy.

In terms of fertility, not all full moons are created equal, according to astrology.

Here are a few indicators to look out for that influence how fertile a moon is.

Plan your fertility according to the moon’s transit.

1. Gnerally higher when the moon is in a sign that is considered to be “fruitful” Scorpio, Pisces, and Cancer.

2. When the moon is in a “semi-fruitful” sign, normal behavior is as follows: Capricorn, Taurus, and Libra.

3. When the moon is in one of the “barren” signs (Aries, Gemini, Leo, Virgo, Sagittarius, and Aquarius) it is at its lowest ebb. (Avoid worrying! If one of these signs corresponds to your Sun sign, that fact alone will have no effect on your fertility.)

Here’s how to use the fifth house, which in astrology governs fertility.

The fifth house is most frequently linked to fertility, pregnancy, childbirth, and sex.

According to your Sun (zodiac) sign, the full moon will be in your fifth house on the dates listed below.

A moon calendar can be used to determine the date of its fullness:

Conceive during a Leo full moon (January or February) if you’re an Aries.

Conceive during a Virgo full moon (February and March) if you’re a Taurus.

Conceive during a Libra full moon (March and April) if you’re a Gemini.

Conceive during a Scorpio full moon (April and May) if you’re a Cancer.

Conceive during a Sagittarius full moon (May and June) if you’re a Leo.

Conceive during the June or July Capricorn full moon if you’re a Virgo.

If you’re a Libra, conceive during an Aquarius full moon in July or August.

If you’re a Scorpio, get pregnant in August or September during a Pisces full moon.

Conceive during the Aries full moon (September or October) if you’re a Sagittarius.

Conceive during a Taurus full moon (October or November) if you’re a Capricorn.

Conceive during the Gemini full moon (November or December) if you’re an Aquarius.

Conceive during a Cancer full moon (December or January) if you are a Pisces.

The fifth house is a crucial general predictor of fertility.

Your ability to have children will depend on the energy of the planets in this area.

Check your free birth chart to see if you have any planets, or even one, in your fifth house.

Effects of the planets on your trinkets.

Each planet has an affinity for specific body parts and processes, just like the astrological signs.

Keep an eye on Pluto (sex and transformation), Venus (attraction), Mars (action and virility), Jupiter (growth), Uranus (surprises), and Saturn (infertility).

For instance, it’s a strong indication if a fruitful planet is in your fifth house of fertility and is in a harmonious aspect (conjunct, trine, or sextile) to the fruitful full or new moon, especially if it coincides with your customary conception calendar.

The distribution of the planets’ fruitfulness is as follows:

1. Venus, Jupiter, and Neptune are all associated with the receptivity required to conceive, making them fruitful planets.

2. Mercury is a semi productive planet (and sometimes Uranus).

3. The Sun and Mars are virulent planets that are both linked to the life force.

4. Unproductive planets Saturn (and sometimes Uranus).

Plan your Pregnancy Astrologically to Promote Family Harmony.

Some mother child birth sign combinations are more intuitive than others.

For example, one Cancer mother was adamant that her child be born under a compatible water sign.

Momstrology is a book about parenting by the stars, and it has a whole section on baby birth sign combinations.

If you have a wish list of baby signs for your child, you should concentrate on getting pregnant nine months before their due date.

Find Life Coach | Meet Robin Waite: How to Create Fearless Business?

Robin Waite is one of the coaches that we found this month and we did a little interview with him. He impressed us with his experience and analytical mindset.

He started coaching as a result of a happy accident. He sold his marketing agency in order to spend more time with his daughters, and during that time few business owners and entrepreneurs who heard about the sale asked him to coach them how they can develop successful businesses.

He slowly developed his Fearless Business and now he helps people do the same, to find clarity, adopt a money mindset and reach their financial goals. It’s called “Fearless Business” because it teaches you how to fear less in your business so you are not held back by illusions and can reach your goals.

His approach is straightforward, he uses facts, numbers and reason to break through mental fallacies and show a path not many people see that will help them 100x their results. Here is what he said.

Meet Life Coach Robin Waite:

find-life-coach-robin-waite

Name: Robin Waite

Pillar: The Mind

Who is this coach for: Anyone who wants to develop a money mindset, optimize their prices, and create a Fearless Business.

How they can help: By using various analysis, coaching strategies, and tools to change the mindset and bring results.

First of all, how are you and your family doing in these Pandemic times?

We are good, it was a shock to the system.

My youngest daughter had only just started school in the September before, so I was getting used to the pace of life of regular working hours with both the girls being in school.

And then boom! Several months of home schooling.

It was a good thing though as it provided me with lots of time for reflection and I realised that my life balance was out of whack.

Now I feel I have a good balance of things, able to work, my hours are flexible and I can be Dad whenever I need to be.

On the work front, I had over £20,000 of speaking engagements cancel within 24 hours of the lockdown being announced here in the UK.

I did encourage 2 clients to run virtual events and secured £9k of speaker fees as a result, but with far fewer events and conferences being run now it’s taken time to get my speaking engagements back up to pre pandemic levels again.

How does the coronavirus pandemic affect your clients? Did it affect you at all?

Many of our clients were supported through either of the Grant Scheme or the Bounce Back Loans which gave them a financial cushion.

And because so much was up in the air, how long would it go on for? What impact would it have on the wider business community? Would businesses have money? Will I be able to survive?

We chose to focus a lot on cost saving exercises to help our clients reduce their outgoings.

We also introduced an additional weekly group coaching call which was solely focussed on Mindset.

Our two amazing mindset coaches, Kate Hunter and Paul Wilson, ran weekly sessions
throughout the pandemic and up to December 2022.

This helped to calm their chimp mind and have somewhere to let it all out with a community of amazing and supportive business people.

For me, we had our best year ever in terms of enrolments and income in 2021.

We have a rigid enrollment process and I found that pandemic created some incredibly determined business owners who would do anything to succeed.

So for Fearless Business, the pandemic helped us to grow.

What are the biggest lessons that you learned in this pandemic?

Attempting to “teach” 7 and 5 year olds outside of school is challenging (I have a whole new level of respect for teachers) so learning what motivates the girls, how they learn, and what they want to explore has to come from them and not me.

I would say I’ve took on more the role of “guide” during the pandemic and the outdoors is a fun place to explore when we’ve had enough of trying to do homework.

My girls taught me that if somebody is made to do something they don’t really want to do then it is generally unfulfilling, restricts freedom and doesn’t generate any great return, either enjoyment or financial.

If you do the thing you are most passionate about it increases the desire to learn and encourages mastery.

The Origin:

Tell us about you, your career, how you started with your coaching career?

I fell into coaching as a bit of a happy accident.

From 2004 to 2016 I was running a successful local marketing agency, and just before my second daughter was born I decided I wanted a life away from the late nights and constant demands from clients.

Initially I wound the agency back and let my team go, but word spread and someone made an offer to buy the business.

It was only a modest sum of money but enough to provide some financial security for a while.

During the down time, and then my paternity leave, several freelancers and agency owners
approached me to mentor them, having heard I’d built and sold the agency.

As I mentored more business owners, and started to get great results, although many of them leaned on me to give them the answers.

I felt it was important to upskill and learn a more holistic coaching approach with clients so they could start to solve their problems on their own.

What was your biggest obstacle that you had to overcome in your life that made you who you are today?

I’ve been very fortunate to have not had many big obstacles to overcome, my father dying nearly a decade ago from leukaemia was incredibly hard.

He was my biggest fan, so whenever things get a bit tough I know he’s always watching me with a supportive hand on my shoulder.

The Coaching Style:

How do you innovate with coaching your clients?

I am a numbers geek and love taking complex business ideas and simplifying them for clients.

In the beginning this started with me sketching the concept on my iPad as I explained the idea.

This evolved into a framework of about 50 ideas, all of which have a simple diagram and can be explained in five minutes.

This then opens up the discussion and helps the client to start figuring out the journey and what it looks like to them.

And in regards to the numbers, data and validation of ideas is the glue that hangs the coaching together.

For example, if I’m helping clients to raise their prices, their first response is nearly always, “I can’t put my prices up, nobody will buy from me!” to which my response would be something along the lines of, “Great, so now you have a hypothesis, it’s your task to go and either prove or disprove that, how many people do you need to ask about your new prices before we have enough evidence to know?”

What’s unique about your coaching approach?

Fearless Business is about fearing the things in business less so they no longer stand in the way of your goals or success.

The reality is that in business you’re not running from lions or about to get eaten by crocodiles, the only things that generally go wrong are:

1) you look a bit stupid

or

2) you might lose some money

We show people that neither of these are that bad and the potential upside is 100x better than the low possibility of the downside.

Many of our clients are “busy fools” before they work with us. They are very smart people, get amazing results working with their clients and love their work, however they are selling time for money and so end up having to do more sales, marketing, and admin to sell more hours… but have fewer and fewer hours to deliver actual paid client work.

We specialise in Pricing and Money Mindset.

It’s a very British thing to avoid the conversation about money, so our job is to help our clients package up their offer, articulate their value and then confidently go out and close bigger deals.

We also help our clients to identify things they are doing that they absolutely hate doing and stop doing those things.

If they have to be done for the business’ survival, delegate it.

If they don’t have to be done, then delete them.

What benefits do your clients get after working with you?

In an ideal world our clients will have half the clients they had before working with us but double the income.

Or if they’re in startup land we help them to acquire clients at rates far higher than they would do without us working together.

We’ve helped:

  1. Web design companies grow from £800 per mth revenue to £15k+ per mth.
  2. A communications consultant close a deal for £180k when she had previously been selling her time for £185 per day
  3. Numerous coaches to stop selling their time for £50 per session and create 6 month transformation programmes that they sell fo £7,500+
  4. A pet business coach grow her membership with 625+ members within 2 years.

To name a few!

Do you use any specific tools to be efficient with your clients?

Yes, we use Acuity Scheduling (now owned by Squarespace).

We recommend all coaches have some kind of diary booking system in place.

It saves so much time and can be fully automated.

Alongside that I’d also recommend they have a CRM in place.

My preferred choice is Pipedrive.

This allows you to track enquiries and ensure you introduce multiple touch points with prospects to take them on a fun, educational experience when working with you.

I also recommend using a tool like ScoreApp to qualify prospects before you work with them and assess their progress when they do become clients.

Again it’s simple and automated and you’ll be amazed to see a client’s improving scores through a simple self assessment tool like this.

The Impact:

If you had a super megaphone that, when you speak into, the whole world will hear your message, what would you say?

Life’s too short, charge your worth!!

What is the greatest lesson you have learned in your life?

It has to be said, parenthood has taken my patience to a whole new level.

Running a business on barely any sleep.

There are times when I had to put the business down and focus on family and it focuses the mind on what’s important.

Parenthood has also taught me that so much is out of one’s control, that sometimes it’s better to let life come to you.

I don’t chase clients or spend my days marketing.

I create clients through meaningful and powerful conversations and then invite them to work together.

It’s not a struggle when it’s effortless in this way.

Your final thoughts?

The fastest way to grow any business is to package up your offer with the sole focus around understanding your clients’ biggest pain points.

The package you create needs to lead your clients on a transformational journey to achieve their dream outcome.

Therefore a packaged up coaching offer has three constituent parts:

  1. What is your client’s Dream Outcome?
  2. It needs to be delivered within a Fixed Period of Time.
  3. And, most importantly, for a Fixed Fee.

If you find yourself saying, “It depends…” followed by, “All my clients are different…” then you have too many variables in your business.

Your job as a coach is to create a robust system or process to deliver predictable results for your clients.

A business with too many variables will undoubtedly deliver poor results and give unpredictable outcomes.

So the laws of subtraction come into play… you need to remove the variables to create the best experience for your clients.

“It depends” is just code for, “It’s not my responsibility if my clients don’t get the results they want.”

And this is quite controversial, but most coaching accreditations will advise you not to make promises or guarantees on grounds of ethics.

I actually believe the opposite. It’s unethical to abdicate responsibility for creating predictable results for clients.

There’s a caveat here, if the coaching is based on a medical or mental health need, you absolutely cannot guarantee results to clients.

It is possible, however, to talk about something called a Perceived Value Guarantee which is based on your clients’ perceived value of the coaching they’ve received and base your guarantees on that.

It sounds like, “If we get to the end of your coaching and you genuinely believe you’ve not
received value for money then let’s have a conversation.”

Find Life Coach | Meet Debbie Bryan: How to Find Clarity and Develop a Bite Sized Strategy to Reach Your Goals?

Debbie Bryan is one of the coaches that we found this month and we did a little interview with her. She impressed us with her expertise and straightforward approach.

She started as a coach in a call centre and she fell in love with helping people find clarity and direction. After 25 years she still holds the same passion for helping her clients.

Last year she qualified as an NLP master practitioner. She is using her coaching experience, no BS and result oriented approach to bring her clients success and develop bite sized strategies so they can reach all their goals.

She has escaped from a near death outcome 12 years ago by just taking 2 steps that saved her life, she was left with badly broken leg, 2 plates and 22 screws. In that moment she realized that we are more resilient and stronger than we might tend to think. Here is what she said.

Meet Life Coach Debbie Bryan:

find-life-coach-debbie-bryan

Name: Debbie Bryan

Pillar: The Mind

Who is this coach for: Anyone, especially entrepreneurs who want to get clarity and bite sized strategy about their business and goals.

How they can help: By using a combination of NLP, coaching, and personality styles.

First of all, how are you and your family doing in these Pandemic times?

Post pandemic we are doing great, back to normal and appreciating each other’s paths.

How does the coronavirus pandemic affect your clients? Did it affect you at all?

Massively, there was so much panic and confusion with entrepreneurs, that we started a “done with you” service, where we taught them side by side, subjects such as online marketing, sales skills and how to keep the overwhelm and panic at bay.

What are the biggest lessons that you learned in this pandemic?

Evolve Evolve!

Nothing is insurmountable, you might need to break it down into small bite size pieces, which we call “How To Eat An Elephant”, one bite at a time.

The Origin:

Tell us about you, your career, how you started with your coaching career?

I started as a Coach in a call centre 25 years ago and fell in love with helping others to get clarity and understanding.

My coaching has evolved to entreprenuers working with them to bring more revenue into the business and get a better understanding of their wants and needs to full circle back into the corporate world, helping CEO’s and managers to cope with all of today’s headaches such as hybrid working, lack of talent in the market place, and burnout.

I qualified last yeat as an NLP Master Practitioner which my clients love.

What was your biggest obstacle that you had to overcome in your life that made you who you are today?

My biggest obstacle was 12 years ago and I escaped from a near death outcome by just taking 2 steps, that saved my life.

This left me with a badly broken leg, 2 plates and 22 screws. Running a business and recovering gave me a strength and resilience I didnt realise I had.

I want everyone to understand they are stronger than they can ever imagine, however, maybe not in the same way!

The Coaching Style:

How do you innovate with coaching your clients?

One of my most successful coaching days are the Secret CEO Vip Day, an opportunity for a CEO that is struggling but wants to appear strong to the team.

On these days we completely off grid from the business and unpack all the problems, understand them and what is causing them and put them back together over one day, it is so powerful, however, as I sign an NDA I dont advertise and it is referral only. If you need it, someone will tell you to apply.

What’s unique about your coaching approach?

My clients like that I am straight talking, action taking, and don’t take any excuses, tough love, if they want to achieve something, then we make that happen for them.

I have been called the procrastination police once or twice.

What benefits do your clients get after working with you?

Clarity, direction, a bite sized strategy and results, always results.

Do you use any specific tools to be efficient with your clients?

I use a combo of NLP, 25 years of coaching, and a unique approach to personality styles.

If you understand your self, then you can make magic happen with others.

The Impact:

If you had a super megaphone that, when you speak into, the whole world will hear your message, what would you say?

I want a big life and I will not settle for anything less.

Recognise that your ordinary is someone else’s extraordinary.

What is the greatest lesson you have learned in your life?

That I can do anything I really want to, If I really want to, there is always a way.

Your final thoughts?

Keep going even if times are tough, recognize what help is out there and ultimately you will win, no question.

Where Can You Find Debbie Bryan?

Find Life Coach | Meet Asaf ‘Ace’ Mengelgrein: How to Start Living Fully?

Asaf ‘Ace’ Mengelgrein is one of the coaches that we found this month and we did a little interview with him. He impressed us with his rawness and honesty.

Just like any great hero, his story brought him to a crossroad where he needed to decide either to end his life or begin it. He chose the latter and developed into the person he is today.

He is an impactful professional speaker, coach, and content creator on YouTube as well as other social media. His greatest challenge was learning how to get out of his own way and stop hating himself. He is a kind of a renaissance man, having 3 degrees and many passions in the arts and sciences, from writing music to understanding how we function as humans.

Probably one of his most unique attributes is his no BS approach to coaching. Here is what he said.

Meet Life Coach Asaf ‘Ace’ Mengelgrein:

find-life-coach-asaf-ace-mengelgrein

Name: Asaf ‘Ace’ Mengelgrein

Pillar: The Spirit, The Mind

Who is this coach for: Anyone who wants to awaken and become aware of the truth in order to become the best version of themselves and live their life to the fullest.

How they can help: Through various tools and techniques, measuring results, using proven experiments, as well as creating LifeBook and LifePlanner.

First of all, how are you and your family doing in these Pandemic times?

Thankfully, my family fared relatively well.

My father experienced the long effects of the virus with fatigue and his hair turning ghost white and then falling out.

It is interesting times to say little of it.

How does the coronavirus pandemic affect your clients? Did it affect you at all?

No, it did not affect us much.

Within our clubs, we used Zoom often so most people were comfortable with such methods of communication.

What are the biggest lessons that you learned in this pandemic?

That’a a loaded question.

But to stay on point here, it was that people are social animals and that being forced into isolation is extremely damaging.

Social media, with all its negative attributes, swelled during this time and further exasperated the conditions that took hold around 2008 with its introduction and plethora of applications.

The Origin:

Tell us about you, your career, how you started with your coaching career?

I am 47, originally from Israel, have lived around the world and earned three degrees along the way.

From the sciences to the arts, my passions range from writing music to understanding how we function in this world and what our true purpose is.

I have had the privilege of working with my family business for many years.

This allowed me to expand into the world of personal growth and development in 2015, when I hit my bottom and realized I had to start living a life true to myself.

It simply came down to ending my life or beginning it.

I chose the latter.

Along the way I realized I have a skill to communicate well and decided to become a professional speaker, joining first a Toastmasters Club, then Lions Club, becoming the President of them and leading people and the organizations to success.

Mentoring came next as people gravitated toward my style and ability to manage challenges and goals.

I soon developed my brand of self betterment called Living Totality and created content online via YouTube and other social media platforms.

What was your biggest obstacle that you had to overcome in your life that made you who you are today?

Great question.

Learning to not hate myself was my biggest obstacle to overcome.

This was cultivated by years of not learning independence, fueled by my family’s safety net that really functioned more like a web.

My flight or flight never had to kick in so I remained flightless.

With time it all came crashing down.

That’s when I had to make the choice to live or die.

The Coaching Style:

How do you innovate with coaching your clients?

My clients have specific issues, whether communication skills, entrepreneurial challenges, or personal struggles.

I first listen carefully and then speak.

I am a no nonsense kind of coach, every word I use carries with it meaning and weight.

I do not believe in excuses and am quick to call them out.

Discipline and hard work is huge with me, so those who come to me know the deal.

I can only show the door, they must walk though it.

What’s unique about your coaching approach?

Simple, with me you best check your ego at the door.

I have a military boot camp approach to life because outside those proverbial doors life is cut throat.

If it’s hand holding you are looking for, I am not your guru.

If you’re fed up with your own b.s. then I invite you to step into the fire with me.

I got you, but you have to jump.

What benefits do your clients get after working with you?

They wake up from the delusions they have been sleeping with.

The first tenet of Living Totality is Awareness.

This is where it all begins.

Genesis 1:3 Let there be light.

Do you use any specific tools to be efficient with your clients?

Yes, Science.

Statistics and social research experiments.

Numbers do not lie.

I also incorporate the practice of creating a LifeBook to develop one’s ideal life together with a LifePlanner which teaches how to get there.

As Peter Drucker said, “what gets measured gets managed.”

The Impact:

If you had a super megaphone that, when you speak into, the whole world will hear your message, what would you say?

 ARE YOU LIVING TOTALITY?

Your final thoughts?

Most people are not willing to take the steps necessary to better themselves, so I ask them to do one thing… Write down their own eulogy.

If they have the courage to do it, then, and only then, will they come face to face with who they really.

If they don’t like it, they can come to me and start rewriting their perfect backstory.

Find Life Coach | Meet Marion Nixon: How to Make Your Heart Dream a Reality?

Marion Nixon is one of the coaches that we found this month and we did a little interview with her. She impressed us with her dedication, expertise and wisdom.

Since her teenage years she had a passion of helping people become the best version of themselves. But, she had no idea how to do that professionally.

So the next logical thing was to follow her passion, and as an avid reader she became a librarian. But, as life does often, she got pulled in many directions away from her real purpose. Only after being retrenched from her corporate “safe job” she realized she was paid to leave something she doesn’t want to do.

That reframing (from being fired to being paid to leave a job she doesn’t want to do) showed her the power of our mind and beliefs. She started her own hero’s journey of discovery and healing her childhood trauma, she turned her aroma therapy hobby into a full time job, she learned and incorporated many modalities to help people heal from trauma. So, coming back full circle, now she helps people heal from trauma, get clarity about their purpose, and make their heart dreams come true. Here is what she said.

Meet Life Coach Marion Nixon:

find-life-coach-marion-nixon

Name: Marion Nixon

Pillar: The Spirit, The Mind, The Body, The Heart

Who is this coach for: Anyone who wants to live their heart dream and get clarity about their purpose in life.

How they can help: By using tools and techniques like aroma therapy, EFTs, various relaxation exercises, deep listening, as well as the ARK process framework (Accepting, Responsibility, Knowing).

First of all, how are you and your family doing in these Pandemic times?

I live alone so the lockdown period was a strain, although I maintained regular telephonic contact with friends and the internet enabled me to stay in contact with family members living far away.

The more frequent family contact brought us closer together so although it was a difficult time, it has had a positive outcome.

How does the coronavirus pandemic affect your clients? Did it affect you at all?

Other than a few people becoming ill, fortunately none critically, the biggest Impact was the inconvenience of the restrictions on movement.

The impact on me was much the same, plus the reduction of face to face appointments.

The upside was more people becoming familiar with working online.

What are the biggest lessons that you learned in this pandemic?

The importance of connection and personal support.

The antidote to trauma is feeling connected and safe with people you trust.

I saw this played out in reverse during the pandemic as the weeks of strict lockdown were very stressful for many people.

The Origin:

Tell us about you, your career, how you started with your coaching career?

From teenage years I wanted to support people to resolve their emotional issues and to improve their lives.

I had no idea how to do that so I chose librarianship as I was an avid reader.

It wasn’t really what I wanted so I tried Human Resource management but quickly realised that it entailed more paper shuffling than improving the lot of employees.

I returned to library work, this time in the corporate world, and got stuck in the proverbial ‘good job’ until I was retrenched.

When the shock wore off I realised that I had been paid to leave a job that gave me little satisfaction and could now afford to take time to figure out what I really wanted to do.

That re interpretation of my situation was transformative and I realised the power of changing the way you look at things.

I turned my hobby side hustle of aromatherapy into a full time practice and over the years trained in other modalities as well.

Through this, I learnt about trauma and the impact it has on the physical, mental, and emotional health.

I was amazed to discover that I carried signs of childhood trauma of the ‘little t’ kind.

This is emotional trauma caused by seemingly small events that have a profound negative emotional impact on children too young to be able to process the emotional overwhelm.

Instead, the child takes on a belief that they are at fault and that certain behavior or activity is unsafe.

This is stored in their unconscious mind and may not be remembered in adulthood, yet will shape how they think about themselves, the way they show up in the world, how they relate to other people, and even what career choices they make.

Having done a lot of work on reprogramming my unconscious beliefs I decided to use coaching to share my training and experience with others so they too can live to their full potential instead of being trapped by their (forgotten) past.

I’ve come a full circle, back to my early desire to help others improve the quality of their lives.

What was your biggest obstacle that you had to overcome in your life that made you who you are today?

The effects of Childhood Emotional Neglect slowed my transformational journey until I learnt about trauma and how to release the negative beliefs my childhood experience instilled in me.

It’s an on going journey but I have the tools to rapidly deal with any issues that arise.

I am now passionate about helping others free themselves of limiting beliefs so they can live to their full potential.

The Coaching Style:

How do you innovate with coaching your clients?

I’m not a conventional coach as I include mind body techniques in my coaching process.

This enables my clients to release the emotional trauma held in their bodies as well as reprogramme their limiting beliefs so they can do things differently with ease instead of struggling.

The flexibility of the tools I use enables me to offer truly personal coaching tailored to the needs of my clients rather than taking them through a set process or system.

What’s unique about your coaching approach?

I believe that everyone who feels stuck and unfulfilled has a dream that they have stopped dreaming but still lives in their heart.

I call it their heart dream.

I use my ‘build your ARK’ process to give them clarity on what they truly desire, and build the courage and confidence to live their heart dream.

The ARK process is Accepting your present situation without judgement (not acquiescence) taking Responsibility for your present life and that you are the only person who can change it, then you are able to focus on Knowing what you truly want instead and start living in alignment with that.

What benefits do your clients get after working with you?

On a personal level: Personal growth and transformation, Clarity of vision for the future, Confidence and Courage to make it happen.

On a business level: Clear direction, Strategic decisions, Personal confidence, Motivational values, Defined purpose, Inspiring vision.

These factors create a foundation for staying focused on priorities and long term vision instead of being distracted by short term seemingly good ideas.

Strategic decision making is easier when there is clarity on underlying motivating values, and understanding of how these support purpose and vision.

Clarity of purpose and vision also creates a strong basis for a brand identity which attracts and retains ideal clients.

Do you use any specific tools to be efficient with your clients?

My main tool is Emotional Freedom Techniques, the ‘s’ is there because there are various forms of EFT, and a variety of ways of using them, not a one size fits all approach!

Through deep listening, my clients feel heard at a new level and safe to process their memories and emotions.

I show my clients easy to use calming techniques they can incorporate into their daily lives.

The Impact:

If you had a super megaphone that, when you speak into, the whole world will hear your message, what would you say?

You CAN achieve that ‘impossible’ dream, and live life true to your own values.

And it’s easier than you think!

What is the greatest lesson you have learned in your life?

That I am not alone.

For a large part of my life I thought the only person I could rely on was myself.

Discovering that there is a whole world of people willing to help and support me has transformed my life!

Your final thoughts?

There are always options, even when you can’t see them.

As a mindset coach, I help you look at things from new perspectives so you can find your way to living your dream and being true to yourself.

1. Practice Self Care.

Self care is essential for mental well being.

It involves taking the time to do things that make you feel good and healthy at the same time, such as getting enough quality sleep, eating a healthy diet, and exercising regularly.

It’s also important to set aside time for hobbies and relaxation, such as reading, practicing yoga, or spending time outdoors.

2. Connect with Others.

Connecting with others is your primary need as a social being.

Social support helps you feel connected, validated, and understood.

Spend time with friends and family, join a club or group that interests you or volunteer in your community.

You can also start your own club if you feel like a leader.

3. Take a Break from Technology.

Technology can be a great tool, but it can also be a source of stress and anxiety.

Taking a break from technology, even for a short time, can help you recharge and focus on the present moment.

4. Spend Time With Yourself.

Another important aspect of improving your mental well being is to spend time with yourself.

This involves doing things by yourself that make you feel pleasure and elevate your energy on a higher level.

This can include activities such as taking a bubble bath, reading a book, or practicing a hobby you enjoy.

You could also engage in self pleasure as it brings joy and relaxation, and can be a powerful way to boost your mood and reduce stress.

Other than that, you can do anything that makes you feel happy.

5. Practice Mindfulness.

Mindfulness simply means shifting all your attention to the present moment, and without judgment.

This practice can help you reduce stress, anxiety, and depression.

Most people practice mindfulness through meditation, deep breathing exercises, or simply focusing on their senses and surroundings.

Try the Headspace app to help you meditate.

6. Practice Gratitude.

Gratitude involves focusing on the positive things in your life, rather than dwelling on the negative.

Practicing gratitude can help improve your mood, increase positive emotions, and enhance your overall sense of well being.

Write down things you are grateful for, or take time each day to reflect on the good things in your life.

Here is a video by Life Coach Code you can watch that will help you feel thankful for being alive.

7. Take Care of Your Physical Health.

Physical health and mental health are interconnected.

In fact, every pillar is connected to each other, your spiritual, mental, physical, emotional, and any other type of health adds or subtract to the health of every other pillar.

That’s why practicing holistic approach is important.

Taking care of your physical health can improve your mental well being. They are closely related.

Get regular check ups, eat a balanced diet, exercise regularly, and get enough sleep.

What you should remember?

Improving your mental well being is a journey that requires effort and dedication.

By incorporating the above mentioned strategies, you can take important steps towards improving your mental well being.

Remember, taking care of your mental health is essential for living a happy, healthy, and fulfilling life.

What is a Dual Diagnosis? Overcoming The Stigma

Mental health and addiction are two complex issues that can affect anyone at any time, regardless of age or background.

Those who struggle with both mental illness and addiction are often diagnosed with a dual diagnosis or co occurring disorder.

A dual diagnosis can make treatment more challenging, and it is important for individuals, their loved ones, and the community to understand what it means and how it is treated.

What is a Dual Diagnosis?

dual-diagnosis

A dual diagnosis refers to the co occurrence of a mental health disorder and substance abuse or addiction.

Mental health disorders can include depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, and post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).

Addiction or substance abuse can be from alcohol, drugs, or even behavioral addictions such as gambling or sex addiction.

A dual diagnosis can make treatment more challenging, as both conditions must be addressed simultaneously.

How Common is Dual Diagnosis?

Dual diagnosis is more common than one would think.

According to SAMHA’s 2021 National Survey on Drug Use and Health, approximately 9.2 million adults in the United States experienced co occurring disorders.

This means that it affects about 3.5% of the U.S. population.

Treatment for dual diagnosis often involves a combination of medications, therapy, and lifestyle changes.

Diagnosis

Medical history and physical examination:

This involves obtaining a detailed history of the patient’s symptoms and medical history and performing a physical examination to identify any signs of illness or disease.

Diagnostic tests:

These may include laboratory tests, imaging studies (such as X rays or CT scans), and other specialized tests to help identify the underlying cause of the patient’s symptoms.

Consultation with specialists:

Depending on the condition, a specialist may be consulted to help with the diagnosis and treatment.

Treatment

Medications:

Depending on the condition, medications may be prescribed to treat symptoms, manage underlying conditions, or prevent complications.

Surgery:

In some cases, surgery may be necessary to treat the condition or alleviate symptoms.

Lifestyle changes:

This may include changes in diet, exercise, and other habits to help manage or prevent the condition.

Therapy:

In some cases, therapy may be recommended to help manage symptoms or address underlying psychological issues.

Other treatments:

Depending on the condition, other treatments such as radiation therapy, chemotherapy, or alternative therapies may be recommended.

Importance of Integrated Treatment

Treating dual diagnosis requires an integrated approach that addresses both mental health disorders and substance abuse.

For the best possible outcome, an effective treatment plan must consider the unique needs of the individual and the most appropriate interventions.

This includes addiction treatment as well as medication management, therapy, and counseling programs for mental health disorders.

It is also important to maintain open communication with healthcare professionals, stay engaged with support groups and rehabilitation programs, and remove potential triggers that could lead to relapse.

Overcoming the Stigma

A dual diagnosis carries a certain level of stigma, which can lead to avoidance of seeking treatment. Unfortunately, the negative perception and judgmental attitudes towards mental health disorders and addiction still persist.

It is essential to remember that a dual diagnosis is a treatable condition, and seeking help is the right decision.

Even for those who face multiple challenges, there is always time to heal and recover.

In summary, dual diagnosis, also known as a co occurring disorder, refers to the combination of a substance use disorder and mental health disorder.

It is important to understand the prevalence of this condition, the challenges involved in treatment, and the importance of an integrated approach that addresses both disorders.

It is also vital to remove the stigma that surrounds dual diagnosis and encourage individuals to seek the professional support they need to achieve positive outcomes.

Awareness and understanding of dual diagnosis will go a long way in helping individuals overcome their challenges for a better and healthier life.
