Top 7 Tips for Involving CBD into Your Wellness Routine

After the passage of the 2018 Farm Bill, thousands of CBD products have hit the market causing a nationwide craze. A major reason for that is because the naturally occurring substance present in such products, CBD, has proved to be very beneficial for the overall physical and mental health of people.

Generally speaking, CBD is a compound found in the cannabis plant which doesn’t provide a psychoactive effect like others such as THC do.

This characteristic of CBD is what actually makes it very popular among consumers who are looking to avoid the feeling of being “high”.

In fact, CBD works by binding with the endocannabinoid system which regulates many bodily functions such as mood, appetite, pain, sleep and immune response, to promote equilibrium or homeostasis.

Achieving this balance between the body and mind helps people deal with their everyday stress better and instantly improves their quality of life.

So, if you are looking for ways to improve your lifestyle, here is how you can incorporate CBD into your wellness routine.

7 Tips for Involving CBD into Your Wellness Routine:

tips-for-involving-cbd-into-your-wellness

1. For reducing anxiety and stress.

Unfortunately, stress is inevitable and it can come from anything, causing people to feel more anxious.

Whether it is the long hours at the office, the lack of sleep or the struggles of being a new parent, the stresses of our fast paced and multi tasking days have led to a lower quality of life.

And while some people still opt for that glass of wine to relax before they go to bed, others turn to CBD as an alternative health treatment.

Although there is still ongoing research, so far the evidence shows that using CBD oil for anxiety reduction is really effective.

When it is consumed, CBD interacts with the receptors in the endocannabinoid system responsible for regulating mood.

When this interaction occurs, it signals the production of serotonin which plays an important role in people’s mental health. It controls the mood and when its levels are increased, the results are feeling happier and less anxious.

2. For better sleep.

There is no secret that sleep plays an important role in health. By having a good night’s sleep, you are giving your body a chance to recover from the stress of the previous day and wake up feeling refreshed and ready to face new life challenges.

However, according to statistics, up to 30% of adults struggle with chronic insomnia which leads to having a negative impact on their overall physical and mental health.

And if you are one of these people, then you can turn to Lazarus CBD oil to help you get a better night’s sleep.

Because, this bodily function is often associated with the stress hormone cortisol whose levels must be low in order for you to fall asleep easier, consuming a CBD product can do just that.

You can either opt for a CBD nighttime serum or a facial cleanser to help you instantly improve your sleep quality and get a good night in.

3. For better focus and higher energy levels.

Whether you need to tackle an extensive to do list or engage in an intense workout session, you will certainly need focus and energy. A great way to fight off those lethargic feelings and improve your concentration and vitality is to use CBD.

One way of doing so is to add a couple of drops of CBD oil to your morning coffee to perk you up. Not only will you feel instantly refreshed, but your focus will be increasingly improved.

This is because CBD promotes the production of dopamine which is responsible for processes like attention, motor control, motivation and cognition.

If you aren’t a coffee lover, then you have another alternative such as CBD tea which can offer the same benefits. The best thing about it is that there are many different flavors available allowing you to choose the one that best suits your personal tastes and preferences.

4. For pain and inflammation relief.

CBD oil’s most common use is probably its ability to reduce pain and inflammation symptoms.

So, if you are suffering from extreme aches in your joints or fight muscle soreness after an extensive workout session, then you should definitely include this cannabidiol as part of your wellness routine.

For example, neuropathic pain is a chronic condition caused by progressive nerve disease or as a result of injury. The symptoms of this health issue can easily flare up at any time without a pain inducing factor.

So, if you are struggling with such chronic pain, you can rely on CBD oil to help you alleviate the symptoms.
Also, this alternative treatment can be used as a post workout recovery tool because long and intensive workouts can really cause extreme muscle soreness.

Due to the anti inflammatory properties of CBD oil, you can use this cannabidiol to alleviate inflammation symptoms in your muscles.

5. For healthier skin and hair.

One of the major reasons why CBD’s popularity is increasingly on the rise is because it has shown promising beauty benefits for both the skin and hair.

This is because this natural substance is rich in various nutrients that are essential for having glowing skin and healthy hair.

For example, vitamin A present in CBD oil can help produce tissues that keep the complexion looking firm and healthy.

Vitamin C helps with collagen production and vitamin E wards off free radicals from the body that helps with slowing down the aging process.

Also, the anti inflammatory properties of CBD oil can help with fighting off acne especially if you have sensitive skin.
As for your hair, CBD oil has shown to be beneficial in promoting hair growth. This is because CBD includes amino acids which can promote collagen and elastin production that result in making your hair look stronger and thicker.

6. For healthier diet.

CBD oil comes in many forms with edibles being the most popular type. They come in many shapes and forms with different flavor variations making them the most sought after choice among consumers.

However, CBD oil can also be added to foods which results in improving the compound’s bioavailability. This refers to the degree to which the substance, in this case, CBD, is absorbed and delivered to the bloodstream.

In fact, one study showed that the type of food you choose can make a big difference in how much CBD gets absorbed into the body.

This research further showed that foods rich in fatty acids are actually ideal to increase the bioavailability of CBD oil.

Therefore, before you decide to add CBD to your food, make sure you evaluate your current eating habits. This means ensuring that your diet should include plenty of fruits, vegetables, healthy proteins and grains to which you can add CBD oil.

7. For figuring out the right dosage.

One of the things that may be the most confusing for CBD consumers is figuring out the right dosage. This is important to know beforehand because every individual is different and many factors are taken into consideration when determining the right dose.

So, if you want to be on the safe side with consuming CBD oil, it is recommended that you consult with a licensed physician first to give you guidance on how to use this substance.

In most cases, people start with lower doses and gradually increase them in order to find the most effective CBD dose that helps with their condition.

Few Other Things:

The truth is the CBD industry is growing rapidly and it doesn’t seem like it will slow down any time soon. This is because this naturally occurring substance has proven to be very beneficial in treating and managing various health conditions.

From reducing pain symptoms and stress levels to improving your complexion and enriching your diet, CBD oil can be implemented in many ways into your wellness routine.

In case you need help along the way, you can always refer to this guide and follow some of the tips mentioned here to improve your overall quality of life using CBD oil.

Keep in mind that we do not advise or promote the usage of CBD in any type or form. We are just sharing information that some readers might find helpful. It’s always the smartest decision to consult with your doctor before making an important decision for your health.

What It Means to Have a Narcissist in the Family and 4 Things You Should Know

You may have heard of the term “narcissist,” but you may be unsure about what exactly it means.

You also may not know how to identify a narcissist.

However, if you have a narcissist in your family, that can present a pile of particular challenges when various situations come up.

Let’s get into more detail about narcissism right now.

We’ll define it, and we’ll also talk about some ways and times when it can be really problematic.

What Precisely is Narcissism?

narcissist-in-the-family-and-4-things-you-should-know

The terms narcissism and narcissist come from the fable of Narcissus.

Narcissus was an attractive youth. He fell in desperate love with his reflection in a pool of water and could not pull himself away from it. He eventually wasted away and died.

When psychologists use the term narcissism, they mean someone with a near terminal case of self involvement. It is a diagnosable personality disorder.

If someone is a textbook narcissist, they often have little or no empathy for anyone else but themselves.

Narcissists often are master manipulators, or they fancy that they are. They sometimes appear confident and strong, and they can put forth a sense of bravado that attracts weak minded individuals or those who are not particularly perceptive or self confident.

Potential Problems if You Have a Parent Who’s a Narcissist:

If you have a parent who is a narcissist, then they will never be truly supportive of you.

That is because they are pathologically unable to care about you. If you ever accomplish anything, they won’t acknowledge it unless it reflects favorably on them.

For instance, if you win some big athletic contest at school, the narcissistic parent will brag to the people they know that the only reason you accomplished what you did is that you have good genes, which is to say their genes.

The same will be true about academic excellence. Once you reach adulthood, they won’t care about how well your career is going unless it helps them somehow.

You can always tell when your parent is a narcissist because any time you try to talk about anything that is happening with you, they will immediately turn the conversation around so that it is about them.

You can probably count only a few seconds till you’re talking about them. If you insist that you want to speak about yourself, they will simply stop listening.

What About if You Fall in Love with a Narcissist?

It’s also possible that you might fall in love with a narcissist. You might cohabitate with them or marry them.

That’s because you might not realize at first who and what they are. Their charm might blind you, at least at first.

Eventually, though, most people who know narcissists intimately and partner with them will start to have problems with their behavior.

After all, relationships must be about supporting one another through both good and bad times. When challenges come, as they inevitably will, a narcissist will be unable to support you because they don’t genuinely care about you.

Again, this is pathological, and most people will only want to be with someone who genuinely cares about them.

When the chips are down, this is not someone who will have your back because a narcissist is not truly capable of love.

They only care about you because of what you might do for them.

If you can’t elevate their life in some notable way, then you are not worth their time.

If you try to insist that they support you, they will likely find it tedious and break off the relationship, even if you won’t.

Here is Why You Must Distance Yourself from Narcissists:

If you have a narcissist in your family, a time will likely come when you become so exasperated with them that you will want to distance yourself.

If one of your parents is a narcissist, or both of them are, then a moment will come when you can move away from them.

They might remain a part of your life, but it’s not probable that you will ever be close with them. This overwhelming personality trait precludes that from happening.

If one of your siblings has this trait, then it will be the same. You probably won’t ever get along with them very well.

If you marry a narcissist or partner with one, it’s not likely that you will be able to remain together with them forever. Eventually, they must show their true colors, and you’re not going to like what you see.

How Has Employees’ Preferences Towards Health and Wellbeing Benefits Changed Over Time and What’s The Main Reason

The office is a critical location for health education, illness prevention, and health safety services.

On average, full time workers in the United Kingdom spend more than a third of their day, five days per week, at work.

Although employers must provide a clean and hazard free workspace, they also have to improve individual well being and cultivate a healthier working atmosphere for UK employees.

In January 2021, Cezanne HR surveyed employees in the country from various industries to find out how their attitudes towards workplace benefits have changed since 2018. To find more information about this study, you can do so by clicking here.

Employers’ successful occupational systems and strategies will lower health risks and increase employees’ quality of life in the UK.

This will not go as far as if employees have preferences towards health and well being that do not push them to take advantage of such opportunities.

Ok, before we dive deeper into this issue, let’s answer the basics.

What are Employee Benefits?

employees-preferences-towards-health-and-wellbeing-benefits-changed-over-time

Employee benefits are perks given to workers in addition to their wages or salaries.

Health insurance, as it is required for bigger companies, medical insurance, eye health coverage, paid personal leave, sick leave, child care, life insurance, fitness, retirement compensation, and other discretionary benefits given to staff and their families can be included in these benefits.

Benefits can be very valuable.

The cost of medical care alone will run into the hundreds of dollars every month. As a result, it’s important to think of bonuses as part of the overall pay package.

Make sure you know which ones you’ll be getting.

Offering compensation to your workforce is vital because it demonstrates that you care for their overall well being and potential.

A comprehensive employment rewards program will aid in attracting and retaining top talent.

Benefits will help you set your company apart from the competition.

Do people seek benefits concerning mental health?

According to Ginger’s 2019 Workforce Attitudes Towards Mental Health Report, while a certain level of stress on the job can be safe and even improve morale, persistent stress can take a toll on employees.

This effect is even more pronounced when many workplaces don’t have access to simple to use behavioral health resources.

The study uncovered a pattern in which people’s views toward mental well-being are changing for the better.

Many respondents, however, say that their employer’s wellness benefits do not suit their mental health needs.

Since their premiums are insufficient, one out of three individuals has paid for mental health care out of pocket because the available facilities are too small, unavailable, or not provided by their insurance or benefits package.

How Have Employee Attitudes Towards Benefits Changed?

Significant shifts in attitudes regarding employee benefits among UK workers were reported in 2021.

For example, although ‘enhanced leave’ was only ranked eighth most valuable in 2018, it was ranked first in 2021.

In contrast, although socials ranked second in 2018, they now rank ninth.

In 2021, flexible working was rated as an essential benefit, perhaps reflecting the fact that certain workers would like to work from home or need to change their work schedules to accommodate other obligations.

Employees valued and took advantage of opportunities that revolved around being physically present at work in 2018, such as travel loans, social activities, and so on.

Subsided food and fitness benefits, including gym memberships, are available.

As anyone would expect, priorities have changed in 2021 in the face of lockdowns and remote working.

Benefits that help workers balance the current stresses, such as flexible working hours and increased vacation time, are also at the top of the wish list.

Personal development opportunities, such as job advancement, are also in higher demand.

Workplace socials and gym memberships, which were formerly common, have been put on hold, at least for the time being.

The appeal to employers is direct.

If job incentives are to be appreciated, they must adapt to changing workplace realities and adjust their offers to accommodate the preferences of their staff.

Why is the Provision of Workplace Benefits Important to HR?

Employee benefits are not cheap. Offering the wrong incentives drains wasted limited resources and puts the company at a disadvantage when recruiting potential hires and maintaining existing ones.

Employee benefits should be clearly articulated to assist employers in selecting the ones they need.

Human resource experts do this through several means, including individual meetings with staff and corporate wide presentations.

They may also work together with communications staff to increase employee benefit recognition.

Though working citizens generally emphasize the benefits they obtain, only a minority are satisfied with them.

Human resources can come in here by educating workers about getting the most out of their insurance plan.

When it comes to persuading decision makers on what employers need, using employee compensation data will help.

For example, statistics on the average utilization of each form of benefit may be collected such that the next compensation plan is more beneficial to workers.

Furthermore, cost considerations should be monitored and compared to other factors, such as staff engagement and health goals.

The pandemic offers an impetus for HR departments to reconsider employee compensation and the importance they bring to both employers and workers.

The Future of Healthcare Systems with Custom Web Apps

It is impossible to imagine today’s world without digital technology.

And over the past few years, developments in healthcare have also contributed to the growth of mobile and web applications.

Because of the pandemic, there has been a real revolution in healthcare that has left its mark on the 2021 trend list.

From online coaching to inventing apps that aim to reduce anxiety, it seems that 2020 gave birth to many types of innovation when it comes to health.

Even at my Applied Social Psychology Master’s classes we had a whole workshop dedicated to developing an online intervention for therapy, so… things are going to get more and more online.

Find out how personalized medical web services and applications contribute to the healthcare system. What benefits do patients and doctors get?

Web apps in healthcare:

healthcare-systems-with-custom-web-apps

Digital health is a medical and social activity carried out with the help of various gadgets.

These can be phones, patient monitoring devices, personal digital assistants, and other devices.

These mobile devices perform their function through apps that act as a bridge between people and health information.

These apps help people maintain a healthy lifestyle and monitor their health. Web applications help provide telemedicine services.

With healthcare software development, the future of health care and clinical practice will no longer be the same.

More than 97,000 health apps are currently available for download, which is a staggering result for MHealth.

70% of these apps focus on sports and health, while the remaining 30% help with professional medical monitoring and provide access to.

The patient health data, The images of studies performed, and The prescribed drug therapy.

Web apps for patients and health professionals in Latin America are promising.

Chronic patient monitoring apps are expected to be the fastest growing segment of any development in the coming years.

Opportunities to develop and market your custom web apps:

Mobile and web health applications can play a key role in the present and future of all medicine.

There is no doubt that they will become the leading tool for solving everyday problems in this area.

The aging population, the prevalence of chronic diseases, and the disparity in access to care all threaten the sustainability of health care as it has existed for the past hundred years.

Web applications also provide new opportunities for solving the following tasks.

1. Chance for prevention.

The web application provides a remote exchange of diagnostic data between the doctor and the patient.

This makes it possible to detect chronic diseases at an early stage.

Self care tools motivate and help patients stay healthy by developing the right habits.

2. Strengthening the resilience of the entire health system.

The ability to improve the efficiency of the healthcare system by monitoring patients or communicating with doctors in real time.

Various types of applications can reduce medical costs by 15%.

This can be achieved by remote monitoring and reducing the number of unnecessary consultations.

It is becoming cheaper to monitor patients with chronic diseases.

3. Telemedicine.

In developing countries, web apps reduce disparities in access to health care.

In remote areas where access is difficult or specialists are scarce, health apps help provide medical services to all in need.

Apps for doctors and apps for patients:

mHealth makes a major contribution to the digital transformation of organizations.

Global Benefits are just a small example of the capabilities of applications to optimize medical services and improve patient care.

The biggest benefit from the development of web applications has undoubtedly been for patients.

Their use allows the individual to take more knowledgeable and convenient control of his health care.

This self service mechanism is particularly preferred for patients with chronic diseases.

After all, it facilitates compliance with the treatment regime and helps to carry out remote monitoring.

By regularly recording the indicators in the applications, patients can watch their health.

They also get the opportunity to be under the supervision of the attending physician.

Thanks to this, the latter can quickly detect deviations in the patient’s condition.

Besides, the remote request for information about the methods of treatment, diagnosis or drug therapy allows the user not to go to the hospital every time, which certainly makes his life easier.

What You Should Remember:

Based on the above, it is obvious that when developing a custom medical web app, the target audience needs to be carefully considered.

Developing the design and functionality, follow the expectations of users from this application.

Please note that the functions that will be important to the patient are very different from those required by doctors.

Well, physical and mental health apps can be the same except in terms of the overall structure.

The market for mobile and web based health apps and solutions is still in its early stages.

But a large number of people interested in it are entering the market every day.

Hence, the value of healthcare apps is growing exponentially.

And while the rest of the world is on alert, custom health apps will only grow in popularity.

Upskilled Or Reskilling, What’s Best For You In 2021?

The short answer: It depends!

Are you satisfied with your career trajectory and looking to grow?
👉 Upskill.

Are you looking to branch into an entirely new career path in the future?
👉 Reskill.

Ok, here is the longer answer:

Do you know what Kodak, Blackberry, and MySpace all have in common?

We don’t have to fill in the gaps for you: they failed to adapt and suffered the consequences.

And while the examples listed above are macro level business outcomes, failure to adapt can trickle down to the micro level and meet similar repercussions.

Needless to say, upskilling and reskilling are vital to fighting against career stagnation.

A report from TalentMLS found that over 40% of employees have either upskilled or reskilled after the coronavirus outbreak.

Those surveyors also found that 65% of employees realigned their efforts to learn new technologies in the same time period.

With competitors undergoing continuous digital and workplace transformation, businesses must strive to keep up to speed with their most valuable players, employees, at the helm.

The employees are the gears of the business, they’re the stakeholders that manage the upkeep and day to day operations.

And now the question lies here: Is upskilling or reskilling the better approach to take for an employee to achieve a better chance of promotion?

Both modes of learning are essential in empowering and instilling confidence in high performing employees. Not only that, but this initiative also sharpens soft and technical skills that shape them to be leaders down the line.

What Is The Difference Between Upskilling And Reskilling?

upskilled-or-reskilling-whats-best

Before diving straight into things, it’s best to understand the differences between these two concepts.

Reskilling refers to teaching new initiatives to employees to broaden their skillset. Usually, it is for them to take up a new role within the business or to work with new software technology.

Upskilling refers to improving upon an employee’s existing skill set to increase their knowledge and range of contributions in that role.

While both upskilling and reskilling focus on improving an existing employee’s skill set, the improved skill is tackled differently based on the employee’s role.

Reskilling focuses on advancing existing skills, while upskilling focuses on the formation of new, high potential skills.

Let’s flesh out real world examples.

A certified public accountant who chooses to study social media management training courses in Monarch in her free time would be reskilling.

A content writer integrating SEO, optimization software to better rank their articles, which is an advancement of their skill while remaining relevant to their field, would be upskilling.

Fortunately for businesses, most employees are excited about opportunities to pad up their skill set. With TalentMLS’s report saying that 80% of employees found upskilling or reskilling training as confidence boosters, workforce enthusiasm can prop employees up to be even better assets to the team.

I’m An Employee. Should I Care About Upskilling and Reskilling Important In The Workplace?

You absolutely should.

An agile, flexible player is essential not just for your company but for your career pathing as well.

Here are some of the benefits that come with an established career pathing system:

Future Proofing Your Skills.
Identify Hidden Skills.
Crafting A Culture With Flexibility.
Diminish Micromanagement Issues.

If you want to stay ahead of the curve, you should acquire new skills and examine new technology always.

Why Aren’t All Businesses Upskilling And Reskilling Employees?

Despite all the benefits that come with upskilling and reskilling, as well as all the promoting of employers about continuous improvement, not all companies actually prioritize furthering their employee’s skills.

A 2019 report by Wiley Education Services and Future Workplace indicated that 68% of employers promote skills training, but less than half invest more than $500 a year to train employees.

Needless to say, training and development programs do encounter financial strains.

But more often than not, the cost of hiring a new employee is often pricier than just honing the skills of existing employees.

So Should I Upskill Or Reskill?

Great question!

Upskill if you want to grow in your current career path, and reskill if you’re looking to jump into other opportunities in the future.

There’s no right or wrong answer, it’s your life!

And keep in mind: you shouldn’t limit yourself to upskilling or reskilling solely based on your company’s quarterly training programs.

There are plenty of resources available online, for instance.

One way to skills train is through studying courses like Monarch to hone your skills and grow in your craft.

But being alone is also a GREAT opportunity for growth, in any dimension of your life, personality, business, relationships, fulfillment, health… you name it.

There are few things you can do that capture all these aspects of your life.

I practice going out alone, drinking my first cup of espresso alone, I love exercising alone, reading and working alone.

It helps me connect with deeper parts of myself.

It helps me feel good in my own company.

It helps me think of new ideas and it immensely contributes to my happiness.

If you are alone and you want to use this time to become your Best Self, here are the 5 fun things you can do.

1. Go in Nature.

Probably the best thing you can do when you are alone to recharge your energy is to go and immerse yourself in Nature, to sit on some bench or walk in some Park.

You can grab a cup of coffee, your favorite book or headphones and listen to your favorite music.

Or, you can just marvel the beauty of the Nature that surrounds you.

Whatever you do, if you are surrounding yourself with Nature your emotional, even spiritual self will be replenished.

You will connect with something greater than yourself.

This will give you sense of connection, humility and love towards life.

2. Try Something New.

We all have a routine, something that we do every day.

And no matter if our routine is healthy, it can be draining if we don’t get out of it once in a while.

Make a list of things you are passionate about, things you are curious about, places you would like to visit, foods you would like to try, museums to go to.

And when you are alone, just do some of these things for yourself. Try something new that you are passionate about and introduce novelty in your life.

You can just go at a different route than the one you take every day, it will be enough to give you that sense of novelty.

3. Exercise.

No matter if you are alone or not, exercise is always a good thing to practice.

However, when you are alone, you can use this period to follow your fitness goals.

You want to gain weight, lose weight, gain muscle mass, whatever it is… when you are alone you can do an exercise that brings you closer to your fitness goals. It’s healthy to move your body.

4. Do Your Passion Project.

You wanted to write a novel? You wanted to grow your instagram account, or start a podcast?

Well you are alone, there is nobody around you to bother you, and you have nothing better to do.

It’s the perfect period to do your passion project.

Maybe you will develop your sidehustle from it.

5. Just Spend Quality Time with Your Self.

To be alone is not to be lonely. In fact, lack of solitude can contribute to feelings of loneliness.

Why you might ask? Well.. when you are alone there are many things you can do to keep your mind away from the fact that you are alone. From boredom, from unhealed wounds, from unwanted thoughts.

And usually, we try to keep ourselves distracted. So we miss on the opportunity to get to know ourselves. Only when you get to know yourself, the relationship you have with your Self improves.

And that’s EXACTY why lack of solitude contributes to loneliness.

You are stranger to your own Self.

When you get to know your Self, than being alone will not equal being lonely. In fact, you will always have someone. Your Self.

And from that relationship, any other relationship improves, because any other relationship is a mirror to the relationship you have with your Self.
