Planning Guide: What to Do 1 Month Before The Party?

You’ve already got a rough idea of how you want your party to go.

Now, one month before the date, is the time to start filling in the blanks.

There’s no need to rush, you have plenty of time to savor the creative process.

This is going to be fun!

What to Do 1 Month Before The Party?

planning-guide-month-before-the-party

1. Invite Your Guests.

A lot of party invitations still travel the old fashioned way: in a stamped, physical envelope that makes its way (eventually) to the guest’s mailbox.

The big advantage of snail mail invitations is that a tangible reminder of your party can be a great memory jogger!

Your invite will likely end up posted on a bulletin board or fridge.

Just remember to allow enough time for preparation and delivery if you decide to mail your invitations.

Green invites are increasingly popular.

A simple group email can get the job done, but there are more powerful and convenient options available!

You can use online services that will help you craft an attractive invitation, keep track of RSVPs, and even remind your guests before the big day.

Online invitations tend to live on your guests’ phones, which might be even better than being on their fridges these days.

2. Settle Your Catering Plans.

This is the time to make your orders for drinks and non perishable foods.

You’ll still have time to adjust quantities as you get RSVPs and figure out how many invitees you’ll have.

If you intend to order baked goods, check in with your bakery early to find out how much lead time they need.

How about hiring a chef for your party?

This is an increasingly popular choice that reduces your party planning workload.

Turn over all the catering decisions to an expert!

Just take a little time to check reviews and recommendations so that you wind up with a reliable, capable chef.

3. Finish Your Decorations.

Your party planning process will be a lot less stressful if you sort out your decorations now.

With do it yourself decorations, finishing early will ensure you won’t be scrambling with glue guns and fabric the night before the event.

If you’re buying some or all of your decorations, it’s also good to make your purchases early from premierglow.com.

This way, if anything needs to be special-ordered, it has plenty of time to get to you before the party.

Remember you may also be able to borrow decor elements from others or modify some you already have.

4. Plan Your Activities.

Hopefully, the thought you’ve already invested in your planning has given you a good idea of the best activities to offer your guests.

This is the right time to draw up a list of what your activities require and gather them in advance.

5. Assemble Your Team.

For anything but a tiny house party, you’ll probably need helping hands.

Whether you rely on friends and relatives or hire professional staff, be sensible about your labor needs.

Make sure there’ll be enough people to handle:

1. Set up before the party.

2. Helping during the event.

3. Clean up after.

Hiring event staff can be particularly handy when you’re planning a party that you want to get maximum personal enjoyment out of.

On the other hand, sometimes a close, friendly party team can have a lot of fun working together.

If you do hire professionals, make sure you get a written quote that defines their hourly rate and the length of time they’ll be working.

You want to make sure your staff sticks around for the whole job, but you don’t want to get ambushed by their bill!

7 Top Tips How to Make High Quality Coffee At Home

Having a nice cup of coffee is one of the best ways to start the day, providing you with the energy to tackle whatever obstacle comes your way.

However, visiting your favorite coffee shop every day might not be the most budget friendly decision.

Thankfully, there are some simple techniques that you can use to make the perfect cup of coffee at home.

Depending on how much coffee you are used to drinking, this might also help you save some extra money.

Below, you will find some of our top tips on making high quality coffee, that will turn you into a coffee expert in no time.

7 Top Tips How to Make High Quality Coffee:

how-to-make-high-quality-coffee-at-home

1. Use Fresh Beans.

Firstly, to ensure great quality, it’s important to buy fresh beans.

It might also be a good idea to visit a local roaster or learn how to roast coffee yourself.

If you prefer to buy bulk coffee from supermarkets, it’s best to check whether they are committed to selling fresh coffee.

This is because oxygen and bright light could potentially ruin the flavor of roasted beans.

Moreover, the reason why coffee tastes and smells so good is due to the presence of aromatic compounds.

Shortly after roasting, these compounds begin to escape, which may leave you with stale tasting coffee.

Therefore, it’s always advisable to use fresh coffee bought from quality conscious roasters.

2. Invest In The Right Equipment.

Another important factor which can influence the quality of coffee is the type of equipment you are using.

There is much more to consider beyond buying a bag of coffee beans.

For example, you may want to look for a good quality coffee maker, coffee brewer, or coffee grinder.

To find the best on the market, check out SSENSE, where you can get the right equipment and coffee accessories.

There are plenty of options to consider, whether you are looking for an electric coffee kettle with temperature control and a precision spout or a coffee machine that can do a bit of everything.

3. Measure Your Coffee Accurately.

Although there are plenty of good recipes that will help you figure out how much coffee you need to use, they may lack the precision required to make the perfect cup of coffee.

Therefore, it might be beneficial to invest in a scale, which ensures that you can measure your coffee accurately.

This is because different coffees and blends may vary in size and density, so without a scale, you might not know how much of it is going into your cup.

4. Store Your Coffee Correctly.

Make sure that you know how to store your coffee for the best results.

Avoid storing it in your fridge, as this won’t help you keep it fresh for longer.

In fact, putting coffee in your fridge can affect the quality of its taste.

Moreover, your coffee may absorb moisture or smells from foods in your fridge, which won’t be beneficial in the long run.

This is why it’s advisable to keep your coffee in a cool and dry place away from light.

For example, you may choose to store it in a cabinet or place it in a jar or airtight container.

5. Go For Filtered Water.

It’s also crucial to focus on the quality of the water that you are using.

Choosing purified water instead of tap water can make a huge difference in how your brewed coffee tastes.

Make sure you check whether your water tastes bad or has any unpleasant odors before making coffee.

While in some places, tap water might work well, in others, you will need to use water that has been through home filtration.

Alternatively, you can go for bottled water, as long as it’s not distilled, as coffee typically requires some minerality to taste delicious.

6. Add Spices.

If you are looking for a fun way to make your own flavored coffee, consider adding spices.

For example, when making cold brew coffee, you can add your favorite spices to your coffee grounds.

You may want to try incorporating cinnamon sticks, cacao shells, or crushed roasted hazelnuts.

Also, instead of cream and sugar, you can use vanilla extract to achieve a nice creamy taste without the added calories.

For an exotic flavor, try cardamom, which is packed with fiber and other essential minerals.

Moreover, a bit of nutmeg can help you add a touch of earthiness to your morning brew.

7. Experiment With Various Brewing Methods.

Lastly, don’t be afraid to experiment with different brewing methods and other types of coffee to find the ones that you enjoy the most.

This will allow you to compare the results and expand your horizons.

It will also help you take your coffee making skills to the next level.

There are also tons of options to explore when it comes to flavor and spices, so be sure to add new things to your routine as often as possible.

In the end, you are likely to find the experience of making coffee at home both fun and rewarding.

First of all, how are you and your family doing in these Pandemic times?

We are doing great! Thank you!

We are blessed that we all are safe and have shined bright and evolved from all the life lessons learned during the pandemic.

We are 3 of us in our family: dad, mom, and me.

My parents are senior citizens. Dad is 79 years and mom is 68 years of age, a cancer survivor.

However, my dad encountered the coronavirus on 2nd of February 2021 and was critical with his lungs functioning only 20% but with the grace of Divine all’s well and he fought it out and is blessed with good health.

How does the coronavirus pandemic affect your clients? Did it affect you at all?

Not really.

For my clients in India, they had to adjust and get comfortable by surrendering and accepting the situation.

However, once everyone understood the seriousness about the virus it was all ok.

I use to conduct a lot of Live Events and personal meeting for my clients in India before the pandemic but for my clients overseas, e.g. North America, it was always zoom, so it was all ok and taken care off.

What are the biggest lessons that you learned in this pandemic?

Self Love.

Have an Attitude of Gratitude instead of complaining and criticizing.

Being grateful for everything that we have been showered with.

Be Open minded instead of resisting.

The Origin:

Tell us about you, your career, how you started with your coaching career?

I started working as an intern when I was 19 years old in my first year of college on a project related to student counseling on teen issues in adolescence.

My target audience was my peer group while I was studying my degree in Applied Psychology.

I enjoyed the subject of personality assessment, behavior analysis, and more.

I decided to pursue my Masters in Counseling and Psychotherapy to explore the subject further.

I then became interested in studying how an individual’s behavior changes when exposed to an uncomfortable environment, what emotions trigger these changes, group dynamics, and the social environment.

Additionally, I explored topics related to self healing, life journeys, spirituality, and reading about sages as I was on my own journey of healing.

My journey started as an intern, moved to a role as a career counselor, and then up to the role of VP of Human Resources People Management.

While I was still in the corporate world, I felt a calling to serve people by helping them move forward by healing their patterns, blocks, fears, anxiety, panic attacks, fear of self worth, lack of self love, loneliness leading to depression, and suicide.

I began counseling, coaching, and healing clients on weekends, weekly offs, and holidays with different modalities, and I am still going strong with what the Divine guides me to do.

What was your biggest obstacle that you had to overcome in your life that made you who you are today?

I was a very introverted person who couldn’t even stand in front of two people and talk, presenting was a far cry.

As a child, I had faced a lot of comparison, rejection, mocking, insults in school, frustration from teachers, bullying by friends, a punching bag for mostly everyone I knew in my circle of influence (including family), two failed relationships, a case of nervous breakdown, hypertension, panic disorder, depression, anxiety, and even three suicide attempts, and a tagline of “Being a Loser and Fit for Nothing”.

I had to work on myself and my own healing because I couldn’t figure out what was actually happening to me.

There was a lot of internal conflict with no one to help.

I would feel alone, alienated, helpless, and lost even when I was around my family.

I was expected by all to be understanding, but no one was ready to understand or even listen to my problem, even when I approached for help.

In fact, I was even mocked and made a joke of on the subject I had decided to graduate in: psychology.

So, I decided to become my own counsellor, psychologist, therapist, and healer at the age of 18.

The Coaching Style:

How do you innovate with coaching your clients?

I blend many modalities such as Mindfulness, Ho’oponopono, Energy Healing, Removing Genetic Trauma, Blocks, and Limiting Beliefs in my coaching sessions.

My coaching sessions are usually one to one sessions.

I am a certified coach trainer in the Law of Attraction and Breaking Limited Beliefs.

I have a Master’s degree in Counseling and Psychotherapy.

I believe in taking 100% responsibility for whatever shows up in my reality because ultimately, we belong to one consciousness, and each person we interact with is a reflection of us in some way or another.

So, if the person shows up as angry, for example, there is something inside of us that is unhealed which is showing up through the person displaying the anger, and the energy is asking for healing or a let go or transmutation.

What’s unique about your coaching approach?

It’s customized and personal and unique because it’s out of sheer experience of undergoing my own self healing when I was 18 years old.

The clients go through basic counselling and basic plus advanced level coaching and healing, and once they reach certain levels of healing, then they are put in a private group (group coaching) plus they have access to my personal mobile number, which has no restrictions of any timing unless it’s an overseas client, wherein there is a time difference, or if I am on leave.

We are all like family, wherein we share a very close bond with not only the client, but also their family members.

The program my clients undergo is very holistic in nature, because by healing themselves and their genetic trauma, they are not only healing themselves, but also healing their ancestors, as well as the coming generations.

What benefits do your clients get after working with you?

My clients understand the concept that “our internal world is a reflection of the outer world,” so if the outer world (in the form of people, situations, and events) is against the flow of whatever they wish to create, meaning there are obstacles and things are not working out, it’s a red flag that something is misaligned within (the internal world).

The mountain of muckiness that they have been carrying for years gets transmuted, allowing them to be open to receive and create their new story, their new reality.

They surrender rather than resist, they choose to become conscious about what they are creating by taking responsibility for themselves rather than blaming situations or people.

They become clear about their purpose.

Do you use any specific tools to be efficient with your clients?

Assessment questions just to help me understand their mindset and my internal energy scanning, which helps me to understand the energy alignment, which guides me on the root cause of the issue.

The Impact:

If you had a super megaphone that, when you speak into, the whole world will hear your message, what would you say?

You are a creator, God-consciousness, not a victim, so be careful of the story you narrate to yourself, the frequency and quality of it.

How many times you rehearse the same story to yourself, as well as narrate it to people or family members in the form of complaints and criticism, and how you say it.. you will create more of the same experience until you choose to break the pattern.

Only by being conscious, aware, and by healing the pain body can you end the suffering.

Otherwise, your mind is always ready to drive your life show.

Don’t wait until things get worse in the form of anxiety, depression, addiction, feeling worthless, and feeling stuck.

Seek help because these events or experiences have shown up to heal and release you from the bondage of toxic energy slavery.

What is the greatest lesson you have learned in your life?

Our thoughts and feelings play a very crucial role in creating our reality.

Be mindful about your energy, including the books you read, the movies you watch, and the songs you sing, because you never know what you are creating unknowingly.

There is amazing power in the present moment.

Surrender, acceptance, and awareness: the combination of the three ends suffering.

Your final thoughts?

Being aware and being in the present moment of “The Now,” ends all suffering because creation begins from there, which is “The Now,” the power of timelessness where there is no fear of the past nor worry about the future, as the essence of this emotion results in the exact outcome in your physical reality.

How you give is how you receive, for example, if you give anything with a feeling of lack, this energy will come back to you, maybe in a different form, but it will come back as a blocked energy.

Life is not happening to you, it is happening through you.

I’ve always had a passion to serve others and found that sharing my story in full transparency from the extremely difficult times to what has led me to the most beautiful times in order to help others stay encouraged and continue to pursue their dream.

One of my stories I love to share is that I did not graduate from high school but that did not stop me.

Even though I did receive my GED, school just wasn’t for me.

I pursued my dream and it led me to making half a million a year.

What was your biggest obstacle that you had to overcome in your life that made you who you are today?

Being bullied as young child to marrying someone who was just as hard on me. And yet, pushing through and having faith in God and myself to know that I was meant to live a purposeful life.

Only God knows the burning desires of my heart therefore, I will trust in Him and Him alone to see my dream become my reality.

Faith without work is dead so having both has led me to where I am today.

I listen.

Listening to each and every single individual gives you the knowledge and understanding of how to help serve that particular person.

We all have a story and each one of our stories matters.

In order to be a well respected coach you need to be fully transparent and honest with who you are.

The more hardships we face in the we become more of an asset to the world as we are then more relatable which allows you to understand and continue to grow in your career all the while serving others.

You see.. while one is out helping and serving someone it actually serves you.

For that reason alone I am honored to live out my passion in helping serve.

I focus on the takeaway from the moments in life that were hard or beautiful and how to showcase the messy times in our life as actually a beautiful message, it is all perception.

What benefits do your clients get after working with you?

Seeing the transformation and confidence that is born through a different way of thinking and watching others dreams become their reality.

Do you use any specific tools to be efficient with your clients?

Every single individual is different so in order to truly help serve that individual I listen to them, hear their story and then I know how to best serve them.

The Impact:

If you had a super megaphone that, when you speak into, the whole world will hear your message, what would you say?

Believe in yourself.

Know that your mess can become the most beautiful message.

We are all created on purpose for a purpose, so live your life with confidence knowing you’re meant to be here and live a purposeful life.

What is the greatest lesson you have learned in your life?

To cherish one another, enjoy the simple things, and to work endlessly on helping to make this world a little bit better before my time is up.

Unlimited Time is something no one has guaranteed so it is extremely important to cherish your time and the time of others and spend your time wisely.

Your final thoughts?

God makes no mistakes.

You are created on purpose for a purpose and your mess can serve as a beautiful message.

Don’t quit on yourself and your dream. It has been instilled in you to be brought to life.

We’re doing fine.

In Singapore where I live, we’ve very much gotten used to living with the virus.

We’re seeing a lot more physical events and meetups as well as travel, a sign of how much people value the human touch as well as experiences.

How does the coronavirus pandemic affect your clients? Did it affect you at all?

Some of my clients were suffering from burnout when they came to me, and the pandemic no doubt played a key role.

Typically my clients would be the kind who suffer from boreout (chronic under stimulation associated with a crisis of growth and meaning), so interestingly during the pandemic, some of them suffered from a combination of boreout and burnout.

The pandemic definitely affected me as it was in the midst of it when I took the leap into the path of solopreneurship and what I consider to be my calling.

The desire to live and work on my own terms was greatly amplified during this time.

What are the biggest lessons that you learned in this pandemic?

The first big lesson is the importance of self care, as I got close to burnout when starting the business, with so much to learn and do on my own.

I learnt to create a lifestyle that fulfills my personal needs while achieving my business goals, in order for this journey to be sustainable for the long haul.

I’m still learning and continuously refining in this regard, as I go along.

The second big lesson, which is related to the first, is to allow myself the space to be, instead of always focusing on doing.

By supporting myself to be in a state of wellbeing and ease, I connect better with my intuition and there’s more space for inspiration to drop by for a visit.

The Origin:

Tell us about you, your career, how you started with your coaching career?

I worked in the corporate world for almost my entire career, mostly in governance, risk and compliance roles.

It was a path I was nudged into, and I’ve always felt like something was missing, that I was meant to do something more with my life.

I tried different careers and did lots of personal development work to try to “find myself” and discover what I really wanted to do with my life.

On this journey, I stumbled upon life coaching and found that it benefitted me and others around me tremendously.

I got myself trained but stayed in my day job, until The Universe decided to kick me in the butt during the pandemic.

What was your biggest obstacle that you had to overcome in your life that made you who you are today?

Healing from traumas and letting go of old belief patterns that no longer serve me. An ongoing process!

The Coaching Style:

How do you innovate with coaching your clients?

I developed my own framework, methodology and program for helping clients get clarity on their life and career direction by reconnecting with and rediscovering themselves.

The methodology was born out of experimenting with my own data from my personal exploration journey.

I call this program the “Inspired Life Program”, because it aims to support people to live their most inspired life!

The program has gone through a few iterations as I refined it based on actual client experiences and also incorporated new tools I’ve learnt along the way.

I’ve also had to adapt my process to suit clients depending on their pace.

I’m actually planning to create a new program in the mid term which really excites me. Stay tuned!

What’s unique about your coaching approach?

My approach to helping clients get clarity, be it for their life or career, is to start from the self.

I believe a key reason for a prolonged dissatisfaction with our lives and the lack of clarity on what we really want, is that we’re disconnected from who we are.

This is a result of social conditioning, where we keep our true selves suppressed in order to follow societal norms.

What I do is support people to reconnect deeply with and realign with their true selves, so that the life and career decisions they make are congruent with who they are.

What benefits do your clients get after working with you?

Having connected deeply with themselves and their Why, clients get clarity on their life and career direction as well as the motivation to act on it.

A number of them have successfully pivoted to their new career path of choice pretty quickly, because opportunities open up when they have the clarity and intention.

Do you use any specific tools to be efficient with your clients?

I get my clients to imagine things.

The Impact:

If you had a super megaphone that, when you speak into, the whole world will hear your message, what would you say?

When you live in alignment with who you truly are, you’ll be supported in life. Because that’s the best thing you can do for yourself and for the world.

What is the greatest lesson you have learned in your life?

That we can surmount tremendous challenges with self love, which translates into self belief and continuously showing up for ourselves in life.

Your final thoughts?

Life is really short and will be over before we know it.

If we do the things we’ve always done, we’ll get the life we’ve always lived.

If you want a change in your life, you have to be prepared to do something different.

Well, I started in corporate marketing for a little over a decade, which I enjoyed and learnt loads.

After a break, I moved in business development and here my role as company coach came into play.

At the time, I realized I enjoy more working with people and seeing their eyes shine when they start connecting the dots.

A couple of years ago, there was a restructure and it was time for me to move on.

This was not easy.

When I lost my best friend to cancer, it was a wake up call for me to move ahead in life, as I went into a depression as I identified myself with my corporate role.

I started to see the silver lining, it was time for me to do all the things I wanted to do and never had the time with corporate life.

Today I wear many hats all with the underlying passion to inspire people to reach their potential, Authorpreneur, Speaker, Mentor, Happiness Coach, Ennegram Practioner, Facilitator promoting Transformation, Diversity and Inclusivity, Growth Mindset, Mental Health and Wellbeing.

What was your biggest obstacle that you had to overcome in your life that made you who you are today?

Overcoming lymphoma, a type of cancer, when I was 31 and coming out reborn with a completely different perspective and philosophy to life.

I am grateful for that testing time as it has made me a better person, helped me to get back on track with who I really am.
