In the second episode of the series, “Becoming Your Own Best Friend” Dr. Dolores talks about Compassion as a central topic.

Dr. Fazzino, a renowned holistic practitioner and life coach, delves into the vital principles of self kindness and forgiveness, illuminating their significance in nurturing a fulfilling life.

She emphasizes the importance of acknowledging and accepting one’s imperfections, fostering a sense of empathy, and treating oneself with the same warmth and understanding as one would extend to a beloved friend.

Drawing from her profound wisdom shared in the recent episode, here are five actionable strategies to help you cultivate a deeper sense of self love and acceptance…

5 Actionable Strategies to Cultivate Self Love and Acceptance:

1. Practice Self Kindness

Dr. Dolores emphasizes the importance of treating yourself with the same kindness and compassion that you extend to others.

Make a conscious effort to speak to yourself with gentleness and understanding, especially during moments of self doubt or difficulty.

Instead of harsh self criticism, offer yourself words of encouragement and support.

Here is what you can do:

  1. Start your day with positive affirmations. Speak to yourself with kindness and encouragement.
  2. Treat yourself to small acts of self care daily, such as taking a relaxing bath, going for a walk in nature, or indulging in your favorite hobby.
  3. Keep a gratitude journal and write down three things you appreciate about yourself each day.

2. Embrace Forgiveness as a Process

Understand that forgiveness is not a one time event but rather an ongoing process.

Allow yourself the space and time to forgive past mistakes and shortcomings, recognizing that each step toward forgiveness is a step toward healing and personal growth.

By releasing yourself from the burden of resentment, you create space for self compassion and acceptance to flourish.

Here is what you can do:

  1. Reflect on past experiences or relationships where forgiveness is needed. Write a forgiveness letter to yourself or others, expressing your willingness to let go of resentment.
  2. Practice self compassion meditation, focusing on sending love and forgiveness to yourself.
  3. Seek support from a trusted friend, therapist, or support group to navigate the process of forgiveness and healing.

3. Cultivate Self Awareness

Take time to explore your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors with curiosity and compassion.

Practice mindfulness techniques such as meditation or journaling to deepen your self awareness and gain insight into your inner world.

By becoming more attuned to your thoughts and emotions, you can identify patterns of self criticism and replace them with thoughts of self love and acceptance.

Here is what you can do:

  1. Set aside time each day for self reflection. Journal about your thoughts, feelings, and experiences, without judgment.
  2. Practice mindfulness exercises, such as deep breathing or body scans, to ground yourself in the present moment and observe your inner state.
  3. Notice patterns of self criticism or negative self talk. Challenge these thoughts by asking yourself if they are rooted in truth or distorted perceptions.

4. Permission to Feel and Heal

Grant yourself permission to acknowledge and experience a full range of emotions, including those that may be uncomfortable or challenging.

Avoid suppressing or denying your feelings, as this only perpetuates self criticism and internal conflict.

Instead, allow yourself the freedom to feel and heal, knowing that every emotion is valid and serves as an opportunity for growth and self discovery.

Here is what you can do:

  1. Create a safe space for emotional expression. Allow yourself to cry, laugh, or express anger without judgment.
  2. Practice self compassion during moments of emotional distress. Offer yourself comforting words and gestures, such as placing a hand over your heart.
  3. Seek out supportive resources, such as books, podcasts, or therapy, to learn healthy ways to process and heal from past traumas or emotional wounds.

5. Celebrate Your Journey

Lastly, embrace the journey of self love and acceptance as a lifelong process rather than a destination.

Celebrate your progress, no matter how small, and recognize that self love is cultivated through consistent effort and practice.

Be patient and compassionate with yourself, acknowledging that growth takes time and that setbacks are a natural part of the journey.

Here is what you can do:

  1. Set achievable goals for self improvement and celebrate your progress along the way.
  2. Practice self acknowledgment by recognizing your strengths, achievements, and personal growth milestones.
  3. Surround yourself with a supportive community of friends, family, or mentors who uplift and affirm your journey toward self love and acceptance.

In this episode, Dr. Fazzino provides more actionable strategies for breaking free from self criticism and embracing a mindset of self love and acceptance.

As the episode unfolds, participants are invited to embark on a journey of self discovery, cultivating compassion as a cornerstone of their personal evolution.

Join Dr. Dolores Fazzino in this enlightening episode as she illuminates the path to self compassion and forgiveness, empowering viewers to become their own best friends on the journey to wholeness and fulfillment…

Is your Ei (Emotional Intelligence) better than your Ai (Artificial Intelligence)?

‘So, did you tick the squares which show a cycle or bus or traffic lights?’ 🤔

My friend laughed and gave me a thumbs up. 👍

‘Was your input then reviewed by a lovely bot that decided whether you are human enough?” I asked with a smile. 🤖

‘Yeah. I know where this is going.” She said.

“Screening and boundaries before acceptance… if only we did this level of due diligence before entering into relationships right??!” I asked with a sigh.

She nodded. As a psychiatrist she has seen every kind of relationship trouble under the sun.

“Relationships are a lot like greatness!”

“You know what I have realized? Relationships are a lot like greatness! Some we are born with, some are thrust upon us and some we create.

The relationships that we are born into and the ones that get thrust upon us will shape so much of the way we choose to create the others that it’s mind blowing we are not taught the skills and capacities needed to navigate this wild and unpredictable journey!” 😐

“Absolutely!” I said in complete agreement.

“It’s quite ironic, isn’t it? In this age of advanced technology and artificial intelligence, we seem to have mastered the art of programming machines, but when it comes to programming our own real intelligence, especially in relationships, we’re often left scratching our heads.”

“Isn’t it wild?” She mused.

We are clueless when it comes to our own OS…

is-your-ei-better-than-ai

“We want the perfect smartphone with the best apps and flawless camera and whatnots but faced with our inner apps that evolved a million years ago we are still clueless.

We are unable to delete the trigger apps that got downloaded in our childhood. We don’t debug or trash our Big Files of the Fight We Had on that Tuesday after my Birthday Party and you said this and this and this.” 😒

I really had a hearty laugh at that.

Those Big Files my ex and I had downloaded into our system crashed the mainframe of your marriage. We had no anti virus software to protect us and no tech support to call.

As a final straw when we switched it all off and then on again, the 2.0 version of the relationship had us living separate lives waving a divorce decree like a flag of independence.

No complaints from me because this 2.0 version has less malware, no surveillance, more stability and definitely less crashed tabs! 🙋‍♀️

So what can be done to reboot our relationships without crashed tabs?

How do we make sure that our Emotional Intelligence is as good at making our lives easy as Artificial Intelligence does?

Struggling with Alcoholism? Discover 5 Great Recovery Programs that Aren’t Alcoholics Anonymous

Many individuals struggle with alcoholism these days.

Some turn to AA for help.

However, some people are not such big fans of certain aspects of AA, and they may look for other options if they’re trying to get clean.

Ventura addiction treatment and sober living are always possible for individuals who live in the area and want other options besides Alcoholics Anonymous.

Let’s look at some other programs that have established a positive reputation in this niche…

5 Great Recovery Programs for People Struggling with Alcoholism:

alcoholism-great-recovery-programs

1. Modern Management Support Groups

This is an option that is pretty different from most of the other programs you are likely to find.

Modern Management, sometimes abbreviated as MM, focuses on helping individuals who are engaging in problematic drinking and certain behaviors associated with it.

Positive lifestyle changes are what MM focuses on.

It is a program that relies on peer support a great deal.

Perhaps the biggest difference with MM as compared to some other groups is that it contends that some problem drinkers can still consume alcohol in moderation.

Most other treatment programs demand that the drinker abstain entirely.

2. SOS Alcoholism Program

SOS stands for Secular Organizations for Sobriety.

Often, when someone says they do not want to involve themselves with AA, that is because there are certain pseudo religious aspects of the group that they don’t like.

You will not find anything like that with SOS.

It is an entirely secular organization.

There is no giving yourself up to a higher power like you do with AA.

This group separates spirituality from the equation.

3. Women for Sobriety

As the same implies, this is a group created by women that is also specifically intended for women who are struggling with alcoholism or problem drinking.

There are face to face groups that meet all throughout the United States.

Some women like this format because they can talk about their problems away from the male gaze.

These meetings can be a place of welcoming support where individuals can feel seen and heard by those who are their same gender.

4. LifeRing Alcoholism Recovery Program

LifeRing has become more popular in recent years.

This is an online community that does some in person meetups as well.

This group believes that each individual’s key to recovery rests within themselves.

It is another group that stays away from the faith or spiritualism based identity that is so much a part of AA.

This group talks a lot about the “addict self” that people are trying to get away from.

They feel that if you can weaken the “addict self,” you will strengthen the “sober self” that hides within.

5. SMART Recovery Groups for Alcohol Addiction

SMART is a research based collective that does not use a spiritual model.

Instead, it uses scientific evidence and research to figure out a plan for each individual who is struggling with alcohol

They have both in person meetings and online support.

They also don’t like to use the word “alcoholic,” instead using more positive language in the hopes of getting away from the stigma associated with alcoholism and abuse.

Understanding the Distinctive Features of the Xpod from ePuffer: All You Need to Know

0

Are you considering to stop smoking? Well, vaping is (according to few researches) the healthier alternative to smoking cigarettes. A lot of people choose to transition to vaping.

One of them is our editor, Ricky, who recently did exactly this. And he has few pieces of advice to share.

The Xpod is a vaping device that has piqued the interest of vapers around the world (Erick is one of them), both experienced and inexperienced.

The reason for this is that it stands out from other vaping devices thanks to its distinctive features.

ePuffer is a leading seller of vaping products, with a wide selection available.

Nonetheless, the ePuffer Xpod is distinguished from products from other brands by a few special features.

We will focus on the special qualities of the Xpod from ePuffer in this article, emphasizing why it is the best option for you.

The Unique Characteristics of the Xpod from ePuffer

understanding-the-xpod

Here are the unique characteristics of the Xpod from ePuffer that all vapers should be aware of.

Rechargeable battery

The first feature distinguishing the Xpod from ePuffer is its 375 mAh rechargeable battery.

Because it can be recharged, it becomes more affordable for you over time.

Additionally, the rechargeable feature allows it to be used repeatedly, which ultimately increases vaping convenience.

Plus, since it produces less waste as a reusable device, the rechargeable battery makes it environmentally friendly.

This indicates your dedication to the objectives of sustainability.

Additional advantages of rechargeable batteries include promoting reliability, offering customization possibilities, and ensuring user safety.

You can count on a reliable and prolonged vaping session with this battery.

Prefilled and refillable pod flavor options

Vapers can choose from a wide variety of flavors available on the market.

You get access to a prefilled and refillable pod system when you get Xpods from ePuffer.

Some brands, on the other hand, only give you a choice between the two.

With this option, you can choose to vape whenever you want and always use a prefilled pod with your favorite e liquid flavor.

Additionally, before adding e liquid to the pod system, you may choose to experiment with different combinations of flavors and mix them yourself.

You are able to tailor the experience to your preferences thanks to this access.

With the help of these customization options, you can experiment more until you find a formula that meets your needs.

Sophisticated design of the Xpod from ePuffer

Xpods from ePuffer have an elegant and sophisticated design that makes them perfect for use in social settings as well as other places.

The gadget has a chic appearance and a modern, streamlined design.

In addition, its durability is enhanced by the use of premium materials in its construction.

Vapers can use it with confidence and for an extended amount of time.

The available colors are navy blue, violet, and pearl white.

All you need to do is to choose your favorite color.

Hybrid technology

Among other Xpod brands, the Xpod from ePuffer is distinct due to its technological features.

The device’s adaptability, space saving design, cost effectiveness, customization potential, and innovative features are all significantly enhanced by hybrid technology.

The device is distinct because of its closed and open pod system.

The device also has adjustable airflow, an LED indicator, safety features, and sensors that are activated by buttons and draws.

The device’s ease of use and enhanced user interface are attributed to its technological composition.

What You Should Remember?

We have examined the unique characteristics of the Xpod from ePuffer in this article based on our editor’s experience.

These features make it ideal for vapers of all skill and experience levels.

However, we do not advize nor promote vaping. This is just an informative article based on our editor’s tips.

Vaping is a good alternative to smoking cigarettes but in our opinion, if you want to quit, do that.

Do not replace one habit with another less harmful one, instead find the healthy ones.

Find Life Coach | Meet Allan Hendrickson: How to Overcome Addiction and Reconnect to Your Soul?

Allan Hendrickson is one of the coaches that we found this month and we did a little interview with him. He impressed us with his knowledge and dedication.

His journey from the corridors of law to the realms of personal growth and transformation is nothing short of remarkable. Hailing from northern Illinois, he embarked on a traditional career path, earning degrees from esteemed institutions like Southern Illinois University and the University of Wisconsin. However, it was in the legal world where he found a disconnect between success and fulfillment.

He transitioned from law to entrepreneurship in the art and entertainment industry. His quest for personal growth led to encounters with luminaries like the Dalai Lama and immersive experiences in transformative programs like Landmark Education and Avatar. Embracing a holistic approach to life, he penned the insightful book, “THINK IT, FEEL IT, HAVE IT!“, delving into the profound principles of the Law of Attraction.

His path of transformation was already profound, but it wasn’t until two years ago that he made a public declaration of his true calling: coaching. With a unique coaching style rooted in compassion and empowerment, he challenges the conventional narrative surrounding addiction, offering clients a path to relief from mental resistance and a deeper understanding of their own innate power. Here is what he said.

Meet Life Coach Allan Hendrickson:

find-life-coach-allan-hendrickson

Name: Allan Hendrickson

Pillar: The Spirit, The Mind

Who is this coach for: Anyone struggling with addiction who wants to overcome their addiction and reconnect with their soul.

How they can help: By using various tools and techniques like meditation, the emotional tone scale, asking questions, and teaching conceptual knowledge about the nature of the problem.

First of all, how are you and your family doing after these Pandemic times?

We are all well thank you for asking.

How did the coronavirus pandemic affect your clients? Did it affect you at all?

I think it was an ominous time for us all and really exposed our fragility.

It created a spike in fear and uncertainty and was a cause for a few relapses into destructive behaviors for a few of my clients.

I personally experienced some fear and uncertainty and also was able to see that there was a lot of loneliness on our planet especially in the elderly population.

Just visiting them made a big difference.

What are the biggest lessons that you learned in this pandemic?

That people don’t want to be rescued or saved, they just want to be considered, listened to, and understood and whether we like it or not, we are all in this together.

The Origin:

Tell us about you, your career, how you started with your coaching career?

I grew up in northern Illinois and went to College at Southern Illinois then University of Wisconsin.

I completed my legal studies at Western State University In Fullerton California and passed the California bar exam.

I had a 4 year legal career which was fun but never really fulfilling for me.

After I retired from the law I went into the business world and started a few businesses in the Art and entertainment world along with an online amateur sports league.

While engaged in these business endeavors, I continued pursuing my personal growth and development.

I met with the Dalai Lama in Dharmasala India when the Tibetan government remains in exile and traveled with a group of exiled Tibetan Monks thru the Himalayas.

Completed the Landmark Education curriculum for living and was on staff at Landmark for two years.

I completed the entire Avatar program, joined the Church of Scientology and participated for 4 years establishing global training benchmarks.

I then wrote my first book, “THINK IT, FEEL IT, HAVE IT!” A great understanding of the Law of Attraction, the book is available on Amazon.

I had coached people off and on during my life but did not make it my public declaration until roughly two years ago.

Currently, I have a program that I deliver to individuals dealing with addictions that are not comfortable taking their problem public, SOURCE OF ADDICTION!

What was your biggest obstacle that you had to overcome in your life that made you who you are today?

Coming to accept my individuality and believing that I had something to say that was meaningful and impactful regardless of what other people thought about it.

The Coaching Style:

How do you innovate with coaching your clients?

I establish early on in the program that seeking relief when you are in pain is not the sign of a weak broken and flawed individual but rather a very sane and smart choice given the condition they are in.

This is usually the first experience of conscious relief and an entirely radical shift in perspective regarding their condition.

I use that experience to immediately establish this fundamental fact: They have been engaging in the destructive behavior seeking relief from mental resistance and that is exactly what the program delivers: how to experience relief from mental resistance.

We establish immediately that the mind is the source and origin of all of the negative feelings and begin looking at the relationship between how they are thinking and feeling.

This leads directly into establishing a meditation practice wherein we will first go to “No thoughts” on our way to “good thoughts.”

Once they begin quieting their minds relief is very noticeable to them.

The most innovative pieces are letting them know they are not broken or flawed and they are not powerless and, in fact, it is just the opposite.

They do not have to commit themselves to a lifetime of meetings. If they can get to the Source of the problem instead of trying to stop the destructive behavior which is merely a symptom, the behavior changes.

What’s unique about your coaching approach?

My teaching is based on allowance and a knowingness that there is never anything wrong going on but rather something in need of greater understanding.

There just aren’t any accidents or coincidence unless there is some understanding missing.

The addiction, rather than exposing ones brokenness or weakness is creating an opportunity for the individual to access his thinking mind and its effect on his happiness and his ability to be, do, or have anything he wants.

It’s a significant opportunity.

What benefits do your clients get after working with you?

Conceptual knowledge and understanding of their condition and how they created all of it.

A feeling of being back on their path in life with more certainty and clarity on how to create what they want.

A primary sense of connectedness.

Do you use any specific tools to be efficient with your clients?

Meditation and the emotional tone scale.

The Impact:

If you had a super megaphone that, when you speak into, the whole world will hear your message, what would you say?

Everything you want lies in your connection to your inner being.

Get back into alignment with your inner compass, your emotions, and follow them. They will lead you to your source. If you want to understand how to do this, study the 4 and 5 year old kids, they do it naturally.

What is the greatest lesson you have learned in your life?

That our connection to our Source, God, Soul, inner being, or whatever you want to call it… is the most important relationship and dictates more than anything the quality of our life.

Your final thoughts?

The significance of the need to teach individuals about the connection between mental resistance and happiness and creation is coming into focus.

We are in great shape and we are expanding at an ever increasing rate.

I feel very good about where we are and where we are headed.

Where Can You Find Allan Hendrickson?

Find Life Coach | Meet Shanay Alexis Johnson: How to Achieve Greater Vitality, Mental Clarity, and Emotional Resilience?

Shanay Alexis Johnson is one of the coaches that we found this month and we did a little interview with her. She impressed us with her professionalism and discipline.

Her journey into the realm of fitness and nutrition coaching stems from a deeply personal narrative. Having shed 100 pounds naturally, her own metamorphosis kindled an unwavering zeal for wellness. Fueled by her upbringing’s emphasis on fitness, her adulthood saw her answering a resounding call to empower others through her expertise.

Meet Life Coach Shanay Alexis Johnson:

find-life-coach-shanay-alexis-johnson

Name: Shanay Alexis Johnson

Pillar: The Mind, The Body, The Heart

Who is this coach for: Anyone who wants to achieve wellness, vitality, gain mental clarity, and improve their emotional resilience.

How they can help: By using various coaching tools and techniques, as well as online tools.

First of all, how are you and your family doing after these Pandemic times?

I’m doing well, thank you for asking.

It’s been a challenging time for everyone, but I’m relieved and grateful that my family and I have made it through the worst of the pandemic.

We’ve all supported each other, and it’s heartening to see how resilient people can be in the face of such unprecedented challenges.

Now, as things gradually return to normal, we’re all looking forward to embracing the new opportunities that lie ahead.

How did the coronavirus pandemic affect your clients? Did it affect you at all?

I can thankfully say that it did not significantly affect me or my clients.

We were very fortunate in that regard.

The transition to focusing more on online platforms for coaching allowed us to maintain continuity in training and nutrition guidance without interruption.

This shift not only helped in keeping us safe but also proved to be a resilient adaptation that we’ve continued to benefit from.

It’s been a learning curve, but a positive one that has shown the strength and flexibility of our approach to health and fitness.

What are the biggest lessons that you learned in this pandemic?

During the pandemic, the most profound lesson I learned was that life isn’t promised, which really taught me to stop taking things for granted.

This period highlighted the importance of appreciating every moment and not assuming that opportunities or health will always be available.

It pushed me to cherish personal connections more deeply and to live more fully in the present.

Embracing this mindset has not only enriched my personal life but has also enhanced my approach to coaching, encouraging a greater appreciation for health and well being among my clients.

The Origin:

Tell us about you, your career, how you started with your coaching career?

I’m really passionate about my career as an online fitness and nutrition coach, specifically aimed at helping women transform their eating habits from fast food to fast track nutrition and lifestyle changes.

My journey into this field started from a very personal place.

I lost 100 pounds naturally when I was younger, and that monumental experience ignited a lifelong passion for fitness, a value that was always emphasized in my household.

While I played sports casually, it wasn’t until my adult years that I felt a strong calling to take this passion further.

Inspired by my own transformation, I decided to become a Personal Trainer and Nutrition Coach.

This career path not only allows me to pursue my passion but also gives me the opportunity to share the extensive knowledge I’ve gained and to help others on their journey to better health.

What was your biggest obstacle that you had to overcome in your life that made you who you are today?

The biggest obstacle I had to overcome was learning to let go of what no longer served me.

Early on, I realized that many of my limitations were mental blocks, preconceptions and old habits that were holding me back.

Overcoming this meant getting out of my own head and actively removing those blocks, which was both challenging and transformative.

One thing about me is that I’ve always had a go getter type of attitude, and that alone has helped me push past these blocks.

If something didn’t work, I would keep going until I found something that did.

This process taught me the importance of resilience and adaptability, allowing me to flourish both personally and professionally.

It fundamentally shaped who I am today, making me a stronger coach and a more empathetic person.

The Coaching Style:

I leverage apps and virtual platforms to conduct real time coaching sessions and to track progress, enabling personalized adjustments on the go for those enrolled in my bootcamp.

Both approaches help maintain motivation and makes it easier for clients to adopt and stick to healthier habits.

Additionally, I continuously update my strategies based on the latest research to in nutrition and fitness to ensure the most effective guidance possible.

What’s unique about your coaching approach?

What sets my coaching approach apart is the holistic philosophy behind my business, Balanced Body Fitness.

I believe that true wholeness requires alignment across all facets of life, mentally, physically, and emotionally.

This means that my coaching doesn’t just focus on physical fitness, it integrates mental and emotional health strategies to ensure comprehensive well being.

If any of these elements are out of sync, it can hinder overall progress.

By fostering balance in all these areas, I help my clients achieve more sustainable and profound results, setting them up for long term success and well being.

Clients who work with me experience comprehensive benefits that extend beyond physical improvements.

By emphasizing a balanced approach to wellness that includes mental, physical, and emotional health, they achieve greater overall vitality and well being.

Specifically, they notice improved fitness levels, better nutritional habits, enhanced mental clarity, and increased emotional resilience.

This holistic improvement helps them lead more fulfilled lives, manage stress more effectively, and maintain a positive outlook.

My goal is to empower each client, giving them the tools and confidence to sustain these changes long term, ultimately leading to a healthier, more balanced lifestyle.

Do you use any specific tools to be efficient with your clients?

Yes, I utilize a variety of tools to enhance efficiency with my clients.

Key among these are fitness apps and virtual platforms for tracking progress and conducting sessions.

These technologies allow for real time updates and adjustments, ensuring personalized and flexible coaching.

The Impact:

If you had a super megaphone that, when you speak into, the whole world will hear your message, what would you say?

This is your year.

All the success is coming your way.

Trust it.

Believe it and RUN THE PLAY!

What is the greatest lesson you have learned in your life?

The greatest lesson I’ve learned in my life is the importance of following my intuition.

Embracing this insight has taught me that trusting my gut feelings can make navigating life’s challenges much easier.

By listening to my inner voice, I’ve been able to make decisions that are more aligned with my true self and avoid unnecessary complications.

This approach has not only simplified my life but has also brought me closer to achieving my personal and professional goals.

It’s a powerful reminder that sometimes, the best guidance comes from within.

10 Rules for Being Human | Rule 6: “There” is no better than “Here”

“There” is no better than “Here”. When your “there” has become a “here”, you’ll simply obtain another “there” that will again look better than “here”. — Dr. Chérie Carter-Scott

Have you ever found yourself fixated on a future utopia?

A dream job, a picture perfect relationship, that exotic vacation you keep daydreaming about…

These “theres” can feel so much more appealing than the “here” of your current reality.

We spend countless hours fantasizing about what “could be” while neglecting the beauty and potential of the present moment.

But here’s the truth of life: The only moment that exists is the present moment. And if you are able to see it, “There” is no better than “Here”.

The real solution to the problem of “Here” not being as good as “There” is letting go of the things that prevent you from seeing that there is only “Here”. And that “Here” is perfect.

Dr. Cherie’s NEW book “Life IS a Game” explores this rule in depth, as well as the other 9 rules for being human.

She dedicated her life following these rules and now, at the age of 75 she reveals the lessons that she learned by following the “10 Rules for Being Human” for over 50 years.

The beauty and brilliance of this book is that it’s a real life experiment and testimony to the truth. Get your copy today and make sure to leave an honest review, it helps more than you know. Thank you!

Rule 6: “There” is no better than “Here”

10-rules-for-being-human-rule-6

Think of it like a lush garden.

You spend years envisioning a specific, “perfect” arrangement of flowers and trees.

Finally, you achieve it, and for a while, it’s breathtaking.

But then, what happens?

You start noticing a weed here, a wilting bloom there.

The “perfect” garden needs constant care and attention. The very same applies to the “there” we chase.

Once attained, it becomes our new “here,” and the cycle continues.

The truth is, happiness isn’t a destination, it’s a journey.

4 Ways to Embrace The “Here”

The present moment is all there is.

Of course, you might argue that there are terrible situations, illness, poverty, war… situations where it’s obvious that ANYWHERE else is better than that “Here”.

So how can we claim that “there” is no better than “here”?

Here lies the nuance of this rule…

What most people don’t realize is that “there” is just an illusion.

Yes, health is better than illness, riches are better than poverty, peace is better than war… but that’s ALL attained in the “here”

It’s the same present moment you are trying to escape from that holds the keys to all the solutions you are trying to find.

But in order to find them you need to embrace the present moment.

Running away from the “here” just because it sucks to some imaginary “there” will not fix the “here”.

Only by embracing the “here” fully, can you transform it into whatever you want it to become.

And then, even the sadness you might feel will be beautiful, the happiness will be more meaningful, and the colors of life will be brighter.

Life is not only about happiness, it’s about awareness, learning, growing, and transforming.

This doesn’t mean forget about being happy, not at all. It means that you need to examine the ingredients that enable you to create happiness in your soul, in your heart, your essence.

Instead, focus on depth, meaning, purpose, and happiness, true happiness will come.

Life is about becoming fully who you are and embracing your purpose. You can do this by fully living in the present.

Other gardens might look greener, but the present is the only garden you have.

It’s your garden and you can make it an Eden, a paradise.

Here’s how to cultivate contentment in the present moment…

1. Practice gratitude.

Shift your focus from what’s lacking to what you already have.

Take time each day to appreciate the good things in your life, big or small.

A steaming cup of coffee, the laughter of a loved one, the simple act of breathing, these are all gifts worth cherishing.

Keeping a gratitude journal can be a powerful tool for cultivating an attitude of appreciation.

Once you start seeing everything beautiful that you have been gifted by this life you will be eternally thankful.

And there are always more things to be thankful for, so keep looking.

2. Find joy in the everyday.

The most profound moments of happiness often hide in the ordinary.

A sunrise, a walk in nature, a conversation with a friend, these seemingly mundane experiences hold immense potential for joy.

And they are all given to you for free.

Slow down, savor the simple pleasures of life.

3. Focus on the journey, not just the destination.

Life is a continuous process of growth and evolution.

Instead of fixating on achieving a specific goal, find joy in the process of getting there.

You remember the old saying, “Focus on the journey, not the destination”?

Well, it’s all about the journey!

Yes, goals are important, but they fade in comparison to the adventure of trying to achieve them.

The friendships you build along the way, the struggles, the lessons, the laughter, the small moments of honesty and the mere humanness…

All those things give color to life.

Those things are the real gold we came here to experience.

Those things enrich your soul.

Embrace the challenges, celebrate the small wins, and appreciate the lessons learned along the way.

4. Let go of the illusion of control.

Life is inherently unpredictable.

Clinging to the idea of achieving a perfect future only leads to frustration and disappointment.

Instead, let life surprise you.

Take that leap of faith and trust that what life has in store for you is much better than anything you could have ever planned.

I know it’s hard, especially if you’ve been hit by life any time you lowered your guard.

But life is not against you.

If it was, you would not be here.

Learn to trust life again.

You might get hit again, hurt, I don’t know… but I am certain of one thing.

That one time you lower your guard and you are not hit, instead, you are shown beauty unlike anything you could have imagined…

That moment is worth every hit.

Cultivate acceptance and learn to navigate the unexpected twists and turns with grace and resilience.

Life might be a ruthless teacher, but it’s not against you, it is you.

The grass isn’t greener on the other side, it’s green wherever you water it!

Remember, my friends, the “there” you chase will never be perfect.

It’s the “here”, the present moment, that holds the potential for true happiness and fulfillment.

Water the garden you’re in, nurture the relationships you have, and find joy in the journey of life.

You might be surprised at how beautiful your “here” truly is.

Now, go forth and bloom where you’re planted!
