DISTURBING NEWS: Scientists May Soon Be Unable To Speak Freely About Their Research!

Science is, by its very nature, objective. It uses data, backed up by demonstrable, empirical evidence, to try and explain as much of life, the universe, and everything as possible. The facts are often willfully distorted by politicians, though, particularly when it comes to man-made climate change and, on occasion, vaccines.

Sometimes, however, the facts are completely suppressed by political agencies.

This was most recently and publically demonstrated in Canada under the Harper administration, when researchers funded by the state were banned from talking freely to the media. Even when they could speak out, their responses were highly moderated and censored by the government.

Now, a similar thing may be about to happen in the U.K.

As reported by the Guardian, many British scientists will soon be legally blocked from speaking out on key issues affecting the nation, from genetic modification and stem cell research to dietary dangers and, yes, climate change.

“This is extremely worrying,” William Sutherland, a professor of zoology at the University of Cambridge, told the Guardian. “If they go ahead with this new anti-lobbying clause, then we will have many more poor decisions being made by government for the simple reason that it will have starved itself of proper scientific advice.”

As of May, researchers that received grants from the government will not be allowed to use the results of their research to lobby politicians for change.

The aim of the edict, proposed by the Cabinet Office, is to stop non-governmental organizations trying to affect legislative change.

Senior scientists and research groups see this, quite rightly, as a straightforward assault on academic freedom.

And it doesn’t take a super smart person to see the reason behind this. Without the freedom of scientific evidence, politicians and business can twist the information whatever way it works for their businesses to make profit, not considering the damage they leave behind.

And we all know that if it is going to affect the UK this legislation will soon come to the US and the rest of the world, and we need to act before it’s too late.

Fiona Fox, head of the Science Media Centre, said that if passed, this clause will “be a victory for ignorance and a blow for the evidence-based policy that our politicians claim to want.”

Science is, at heart, a search for truth – it cannot, by nature, be gagged and still operate properly. If you are worried by this, get in touch with the government or sign this petition.

After Their Wedding, This Couple Did What Many of Us Have Always Dreamed of Doing…

When Matt and Jessica Johnson got married, they did something that none of their friends and family had ever expected them to do: they sold their house, gave up their successful careers as a manager and financial specialist, and bought a small yacht. For almost four years now, they’ve been sailing around the world in the company of their cat, George.

Living off around $1,000 a month, they’ve already visited 16 countries, including the Bahamas, Jamaica, Cuba and Peru — and they have no intention of stopping any time soon. This brave couple’s story is truly inspiring…

Couple Sells Everything to Live On A Bout and Travel The World

“It all started in 2007′, recalls Jessica. ’We were taking a break on Lake Michigan, and I noticed that Matt was inspecting the boats there very intently. Then he looked at me and said: “So Jess, we can either buy a house or spend all our savings on a boat. What do you think, which one’s a better idea?” That’s how we decided that we wanted to spend summer on the water.”

“In June 2011, we sold our house. It was then that we realised that we wanted to go on the kind of journey which would change our lives. How long it would last — 5, 6 years, maybe more — didn’t really matter.”

“We picked up George in 2012. It’s great that he’s now a member of our team. During storms he always manages to stand on his feet better than we ever do.”

“Travelling like this has really strengthened our relationship. You don’t have any time when you’re on a boat to argue with each other — here we’re part of one team.”

Couple Sells Everything to Live On A Bout and Travel The World 11

“Before, our lives were almost like a stereotype of the American dream — we both went to school and then university, got married, bought a house, and started successful careers.”

“But then we realized that we were wasting so much time just watching TV, doing nothing worthwhile; if we carried on like this we’d never have any real, memorable experiences to look back on when we got old. We wanted to change this — and we did.”

Couple Sells Everything to Live On A Bout and Travel The World 15

As we go through our life we distract ourselves from what we truly want. We say “first I should finish school”; then we say “I should find a job and a small income before I can make my dreams come true, just for a couple of years at least”; than we want a bigger income; than we want a stable life, a house, we want to be sure that if our plans fail we have a safe place to come back to; bills kick in and we need an even bigger income… and as soon as we wake up, we are 60 year old people with a life spent distracting ourselves from what really mattered.

If anything, this couple proves that the only thing that’s stopping us from living our dream is the story we keep telling ourselves as why we can’t.

They even have their own blog where they post updates about their adventures: mjsailing.com

Star Wars’ Daisy Ridley Makes a Serious “Threat” to The Self-Esteem Propaganda With This POWERFUL Message On Instagram…

“Three of these statements aren’t true… Social media is great but also a bit scary ’cause what people post is the most filtered, most carefully chosen and cleverly edited moments of their lives,” Ridley wrote. “And self esteem is a huge issue for people around the world. My skin isn’t great so I don’t post no make up selfies, much as I’d like to; I have a trainer urging me on in workouts and don’t include all the times I say, “I can’t do it,” and I don’t smile all the time but I like to share the pictures where I am. But I actually do love myself, I try to think good thoughts always and am surrounded by the most wonderful people, so I’m keeping it balanced (like the Force, obvs). Just thought I’d say :)”

The world tends to force people into being the best versions of themselves. They need to work out, eat right, look great, speak great, read books, dance, sing, smile and at any cost avoid negativity.

Combine makeup with social media and it’s a lot “easier” to create whatever image you want the world to see you as… except it takes a hell lot of time.

It takes away time that you can use to do the things that really matter for you. It takes time you can use to visit people you love and care about while they are still here. It takes time you can use to learn things you always wanted to learn and actually become the best version of yourself.. but not for someone else, for you!

You shouldn’t feel forced to always do the right thing. Do the wrong thing from time to time, make a mistake, you are a human.

You cannot be happy all the time forcing your mind to think only happy thoughts, you cannot detach from everyone just because you find them as negative, that’s how you lose everything that was ever pure and real in your life.

Being negative is a part of life, just like positive times. It’s chemistry and it needs the both sides of the coin. Running away creates the REAL negativity in life.

Accept life as it is and live it.

Not for others, for YOU!

20 Sources of Pain In The Body That are DIRECTLY Linked to Each Specific Emotional States!

There is plenty of misunderstanding about what emotions really are. I would suggest you see it like this:

Emotion is Energy in Motion.

emotion-body

Your actions, decisions, what matters to you, who matters to you, is all a part of that system which determines what you’ll feel in a certain instance. That’s the structure of your spirit.

The way your spirit is built determines the type of emotions you’ll feel, therefore, the way your energy will move.

Pain, on the other hand, is a blocked flow of energy.

In order to heal some pain we need to understand the real cause behind it.

A lot of times, if we feel certain emotions for a longer period, they can manifest as a physical pain.

Tracing back the blocked flow of energy we can “translate” the emotion that might have caused it. And once we know this we can focus on healing the 2 sides of the coin, both our body and our spirit.

However, not all emotions that are negative are, in fact, the ones we see as negative. Sometimes an excess of a so called positive emotion can lead to a problem with certain organs.

How Emotions are Linked with Organs

There is an ancient wisdom saying that the balance is the key to everything. Mastering your spirit to feel both positive and negative emotions, without excess of one or the other is the right decision here, because the real problems happen when we try to run away from a certain type of emotion.

Here is a guide to help you link the types of pain with emotions and spiritual problems they may be a result of:

sources-of-pain-linked-to-specific-emotional-states

1. The pain in the muscles

Represents a challenging ability to move in our lives. How flexible are we being with our experiences at work, home or within ourselves. Go with the flow.

2. The pain in the head

(Headaches) Limit decision making. Migraines occur when we know the decision to make and we do not take it. Make sure to take time each day to relax. Do something that will relieve that tension.

3. Pain in the neck

Is an indication that you may be having trouble with forgiveness of others, or even yourself. If you’re feeling neck pain, consider the things you love about yourself and others. Consciously work toward forgiveness.

4. Pain in the gums

Is related to decisions you do not take or that you do not stand. Be clear in your goals and go for it!

5. Pain in the shoulder

May indicate that you’re carrying a real emotional burden. That’s where the saying “shouldering a problem” comes from. Focus in on some proactive problem solving and distributing some of that burden to other people in your life.

6. The stomach pain

Occurs when you have not digested, figuratively, something negative. The feeling of not being respected hole causes a sensation in the stomach, and a grief.

7. Pain in the upper back

Indicates that you lack emotional support. You might feel unloved. If you are single, it might be time to meet someone.

8. Pain in the lower

Back might mean you’re worrying too much about money or you’re lacking in emotional support. It may be a good time to ask for an overdue raise or consider a financial planner to help you utilize money a little bit better.

9. Pain In Your Sacrum and Tail Bone

You may be sitting on an issue that needs to be addressed. Get to the bottom of it and you will see resolution.

10. Pain in the elbow

Has a lot to do with the resistance to change in your life. If your arms are stiff, it can mean that you are too steep to things in your report. It is perhaps time to dare to move things or at least, to let you go!

11. Pain in the arms

You’re carrying something or someone as an emotional burden. It may be time to ask yourself why do you keep carrying it?

12. Pain in the hands

The hands symbolize the link to others, does not connect. If you feel pain in the hand, it may mean that you do not stretch enough out to others. Try to make new friends, restore the connection!

13. Pain in the hips

If you’ve been afraid of moving, that may manifest as a pain in the hips. Sore hips could be a sign that you’re too resistant to changes and moves. It may also show a caution toward making decisions. If you’re thinking on some big ideas, it’s time to make a decision. General pain in the hips relates to support. When they slip out, it generally relates to an imbalance in how you are relating to life. Feeling the lack of love and support.

14. Pain in the joints generally

Like muscles, pain in the joints are flexible. Be open to new ways of thinking, lessons and life experiences.

15. The knee pain

The knee, which can mean “I us” symbolizes our relationship to another subject, balanced or aggressive. The knee trouble indicates a difficulty to fold, to accept things as they are. The voltage can be linked to the OUTSIDE worldlaughing as yourself. The inside of the knee refers to the community, work, friends; the outside of the knee is linked to personal problems. Remember: you are a human, a mere mortal. Do not allow your ego to dominate your life. Volunteering can be beneficial.

16. The dental pain

Expresses the fact that you do not like your situation. At constant rehashing this disgust, this affects your emotions in everyday life. Remember that experience pass more quickly when you focus on the positive aspects.

17. Pain in the ankles

shows that you do not grant you the right to pleasure. It is perhaps time to become more forgiving towards yourself. Try spicing up your love life.

18. Pain causing fatigue

Boredom, resistance, and denying what it takes to move forward, “What’s next?” Open yourself to that little voice which speaks very softly and nudges you towards a new experience.

19. The foot pain

When you are depressed, you may feel some pain in the feet. Too much negativity can occur under your feet. Enjoy the small pleasures of life. Adopt a pet or find a new hobby, a new passion. Seek joy.

20. An unexplained pain in various body parts

The cellular structure of the body is constantly renewed and during this process, is purged of negative energies. The immune system and all systems in the body are found in weakened. So while the body may appear to be in a state of illness, it is more or less in a state of clearing. Know that it will pass!

Researchers Make a SHOCKING Claim That Humans Did NOT Evolve On Earth!

This year, other scientists have argued that life originated on Mars, due to a mineral found in Martian meteorites, thought to be crucial to the genesis of life.

BUT, a new book by American ecologist Dr. Ellis Silver offers arguments, based on human physiology, that humans as species may not have evolved alongside other life on Earth – but arrived from elsewhere, brought here by aliens as recently as a few tens of thousands of years ago.

This is a BIG claim, however, the facts that Silver puts on the table will make you say “how did I not realized this sooner!!”

Silver, an environmentalist  who is currently working with the effort to clean plastic debris from the Pacific, says his book aims to provoke debate – and is based on scientific work on the difference between humans and other animals.

“The Earth approximately meets our needs as a species, but perhaps not as strongly as whoever brought us here initially thought,” Silver said in an interview with Yahoo news.

“Mankind is supposedly the most highly developed species on the planet, yet is surprisingly unsuited and ill-equipped for Earth’s environment: harmed by sunlight, a strong dislike for naturally occurring foods, ridiculously high rates of chronic disease, and more,”

Dr. Ellis says that humans might suffer from bad backs because they evolved on a world with lower gravity.

He also says that it is strange that babies’ heads are so large and make it difficult for women to give birth, which can result in fatalities of the mother and infant.

“No other truly native species on this planet has this problem,” he says. Silver also points out to the “extra” 223 genes in human beings, which are not found in any other species, and to the lack of a fossil “missing link”.

“Lizards can sunbathe for as long as they like – and many of them do. We can just about get away with it for a week or two. But day after day in the sun? Forget it. You might as well just lie down on the freeway and wait for a bus to hit you.” We are dazzled by the sun, which is also odd, says Silver – most animals are not.

“We are all chronically ill,” says Silver.

“Indeed, if you can find a single person who is 100% fit and healthy and not suffering from some (perhaps hidden or unstated) condition or disorder (there’s an extensive list in the book) I would be extremely surprised – I have not been able to find anyone.” Silver continues.

Humans Did NOT Evolve On Earth

It’s like we desperately try to hide the fact that we do not fully belong in this Nature we try to fit in.

We say that we evolved but, if we truly evolved here, shouldn’t we be more in connection with Nature instead of being less and less, to a point that we even harm life around us?

Something just does not seem right.

“I believe that many of our problems stem from the simple fact that our internal body clocks have evolved to expect a 25 hour day (this has been proven by sleep researchers), but the Earth’s day is only 24 hours. This is not a modern condition – the same factors can be traced all the way back through mankind’s history on Earth.”

There is another key element we usually tend to ignore.

Many people say that they don’t feel like they belong on Earth, nor feel at home here, says Dr. Ellis Silver.

humanity homesick

And this fact is not something to see as irrelevant, especially not if the majority of the human population feels like this.

“This suggests (to me at least) that mankind may have evolved on a different planet, and we may have been brought here as a highly developed species.” says Silver

What if we migrated here from Mars? And this, believe it or not, is not as farfetched as it seems. Scientists recently discovered that Mars had a strong Magnetic field before it became a wasteland.

Humans Evolved On Mars

Mars is the only planet in our Solar System that has a day of 25 hours, it is further away from The Sun than Earth, it has weaker gravity and it was discovered that Mars had large amounts of water in the past.

What if there was some kind of destruction of global proportions and we had to migrate to save our species?

This would also prove the stories of Humanity being more evolved in the past, but because of an unknown incident we “fell” from “heaven” on earth, and went through a phase of forgetting.

“My thesis proposes that mankind did not evolve from that particular strain of life, but evolved elsewhere and was transported to Earth (as fully evolved Homo sapiens) between 60,000 and 200,000 years ago,” says Dr. Ellis Silver.

The ULTIMATE Gentleman Rulebook – 73 Rules Every REAL Gentleman Follows!

They say that Gentlemen are endangered species. It’s rare to see a man take away the chair for a girl to sit down, or open a door for her.

And with the whole “Girl Power” movement it’s like the world doesn’t really need this breed anymore.

But deep inside we all know that’s a lie. The world needs Gentlemen now more than ever.

Being a Gentleman is not about opening doors, or showing more dominance over women. It’s something A LOT more than showing your strengths as a man.

In fact, being a gentleman is honoring the beauty and fragility of women, because in the midst of that fragility you can find a true strength. Being a gentleman means to honor the feminine energy and create a safe space so the woman can unleash her true power.

It’s not about competition. It’s about spirit. It’s about being strong enough to be gentle, so the gentle can be strong. It’s about having responsibility to embody the male energy and give opportunity for the female to rise so they can dance together with their full potential.

Here is a guide that every man should know in order to become a gentleman.

Why Do Most Writers Run? [A Confession By Authors]

There’s a long tradition of writers leaving their pens or screens behind to stride along roads, tracks, and trails.

Jonathan Swift, according to Samuel Johnson, would “run half a mile up and down a hill every two hours” during his 20s.

Louisa May Alcott ran since her youth: “I always thought I must have been a deer or a horse in some former state,” she wrote in her journal, “because it was such a joy to run.”

Freedom, consciousness, and wildness: Running offers writers escape with purpose.

When confronted with “structural problems” in her writing as the result of a “long, snarled, frustrating and sometimes despairing morning of work,” Joyce Carol Oates would ease her writing blocks with afternoon runs. For Oates and many other writers, running is process and proves especially useful for the type of cloistered, intensive work they do.

Whether their reasoning is practical or spiritual, many writers run with ritualistic devotion. The short-story writer Andre Dubus “ran for the joy and catharsis of it,” but like Oates and DeLillo, his running was also deliberately timed.

Dubus kept a log book that detailed his daily exercise output and writing word count. His method came from an interpretation of Ernest Hemingway’s dictum to stop a story mid-sentence, perform physical exercise, and then return to the work the next day.

Every writer has a ritual. And the best ones have the strangest. But most of them would agree that writing is one of the best rituals to help you when you are writing a piece of literature.

Why do writers so often love to run?

I’ve noticed that running is a form of active meditation

You are freeing your mind from the responsibility of thinking your next move. You run. You have a specific tempo, goal and course and there is nothing else to worry about.

It’s you and your thoughts. Your body is busy running.

Running affords the freedom of distance, coupled with the literary appeal of solitude.

This form of active meditation forces us to explore our Inner World and something about the increased pulse and blood flow unlocks the barriers of thought in your mind.

There’s a meditative cadence to the union of measured breaths and metered strides. Writers and runners both operate on linear planes, and the running writer soon realizes the relationship between art and sport is a mutually beneficial one.

They are like Yin and Yang two opposites that complete each other.

The novelist Haruki Murakami, a former Tokyo jazz-bar manager who would smoke 60 cigarettes a day, started running to get healthy and lose weight. His third novel had just been published, but he felt his “real existence as a serious writer [began] on the day that I first went jogging.”

The steady, repetitive movement of distance running triggers one’s intellectual autopilot, freeing room for creative thought.

Neuroscientists describe this experience as a feeling of timelessness, where attention drifts and imagination thrives.

Exertion frees this fictitious, creative other, enabling the mind of writers who run to wander without inhibition. Writers tap into this ghost-self whenever they construct narratives and characters; writers who run have the benefit of a first draft on foot.

Writing exists in that odd mental space between imagination and intellect, between the organic and the planned.

Runners must learn to accept the same paradoxes, to realize that each individual run has its own narrative, with twists and turns and strains.

Writers and runners use the same phrase —“hit my stride”— to describe the moment when exertion and work become joy.

Writers stuck on a sentence should lace their sneakers and go for a jog, knowing that when they return, they will be a bit sweatier, more tired, but often more charged to run with their words.

Running boosts creativity, motivation, it gives clarity to your mind. Its like a steroid shot for writers.
