There’s wealth, there’s health, there’s basic human freedoms. These criteria are essential in determining the quality of life in any place of the world.
But a new study takes a different approach. The Happy Planet Index, which has just published its 2016 edition, measures health and happiness not in isolation but against a crucial new gold standard for success: SUSTAINABILITY.

In this calculation, the most successful countries are those where people live long and happy lives at little cost to the environment.
Suprisingly, on the top 10 happiest countries list there is not even one wealthy Western country. Neither a progressive Nordic one that normally bags the lifestyle laurels.
When it comes to people’s ability to live good lives within sustainable limits, Latin American and Asia Pacific countries are ahead of the crowd!
But the one country that stands out, the happiest country in the whole world according to “The Happy Planet Index” is: Costa Rica!

Costa Rica tops the ranking for the third time. It is the happiest and most sustainable country on Earth!
It has an average satisfaction and happiness level of 7.3 (on a scale from 0 to 10), it has an average life expectancy of 79.1 years, high level of equality and low ecological footprint (the average impact that each resident of a country places on the environment).
What places the country time and again at the top of the index is that it delivers all this health and happiness while using a mere quarter of the resources that are typically used in the Western world.

Chiefly through a strong commitment to the environment:
99% of the country’s electricity supply is said to come from renewable sources, and the government has pledged to make the country carbon neutral by 2021. Other factors include robust investing in social programs such as health and education, with public money that has been all the more plentiful since the abolition of the national army in 1949.
Wealthier Western countries tend to score highly when it comes to life expectancy and well-being, but the high environmental cost of their lifestyle drastically decreases their ratings. The US, for instance, has one of the largest ecological footprints in the world.
Of the Scandinavian nations, only Norway appears in the index’s top 20.
However, Costa Rica seems to have discovered the secret formula on how to deliver happiness and well being to its people without turning its back on the environment.
It is wise to seek the solution for a better world exactly from these Latin American and Asian countries. The Western world can learn so much!

A sinus infection, also known as sinusitis, is an inflammation of the tissue lining of the sinuses. Healthy sinuses are filled with air, but when blocked, germs can grow within and cause an infection.
Symptoms of sinusitis include fevers, facial pain, and headaches while the most common causes include allergic rhinitis, common cold, deviated septum, and nasal polyps.
There are two types of sinusitis: acute and chronic. The first one typically lasts up to a month while chronic sinusitis may last 12 weeks or longer.
Viruses and bacteria which grow in the air spaces within the bones in the cheek bones, forehead, and between the eyes cause thick mucus and extreme discomfort in these areas.
While antibiotics are the most common remedy for sinusitis, they are not the best one. Namely, they often come with a wide range of side effects. On the other hand, herbal remedies step in as an ideal solution for this condition. Check out the one below!

Apple cider vinegar has numerous uses and is considered to be one of the best remedies for many conditions. It is packed with antioxidants, malic acids, vitamins, and minerals, all of which are helpful in killing bacteria. ACV binds to pathogens and helps the body flush them out more efficiently. It is effective against fungal, Candida, and viral infections, too.
To get the most of it, make sure you choose raw, unfiltered, unpasteurized, and organic apple cider vinegar, such as Bragg Organic Raw Apple Cider Vinegar.
When ingested, apple cider vinegar breaks up the mucus and clears the airways, while its antibacterial content kills off the bacteria responsible for the infection. Once the mucus is broken down, apple cider supplies the body with nutrients which boost immunity and prevent the infection from re-occurring.
Even though ACV is acidic in nature, it contains electrolytes which balances body`s pH levels and lowers body acidity. Detrimental bacteria or viruses thrive in acidic environment, which means that by creating alkaline environment, ACV prevents the microbes from multiplying.
The mixture above helps alleviate the symptoms, boost immunity, and eliminate all sinus-related problems. Check it out!

Going to work is something the majority of the world takes as normal. 5 days per week, 8 hours per day, all desperately waiting for the weekend. And when monday comes it’s the same old story over, and over, and over again. Like a timeloop.
But work is not natural. It’s not something that exists in Nature independent from humanity. In fact, we are the only species on the entire planet that have jobs. We have invented work. And that’s ok. But, since we invented it, can we make it better?
Scientists say we need to tweak the way we work just a little bit in order to be healthier, more productive and feel happier about what we do, instead of looking it as a torture.
Multiple experiments done by K. Anders Ericsson, one of the top experts on the psychology of work, have shown that people can only do 4 or 5 hours of productive work per day. After their performance reaches its highest point, output tends to stall, and people suffer at work.
In other words, most people can stay focused on work no more than 5 hours per day. Staying more than 5 hours is most of the time, simply pointless.
Ryan Carson, CEO of Treehouse, implemented a 32-hour work week in 2006. Ever since, his employees have become happier and more productive.
According to Carson, the company is very successful today, its annual revenue is estimated in the millions of dollars, and employees are happy to come to work each day.
Reusser Design, a full-scale web development company switched to a four-day work week back in 2013.
Company founder Nate Reusser says, “Even if employees work overtime on Fridays, their performance is much higher. You have no idea how people hustle to finish projects before they go on vacation.”
Managers who shortened the work week got more significant returns on their investment in terms of output, worker retention, and their personal and professional happiness.
But this simple tweak works even in schools. As an experiment, the four-day school week was also introduced for 4th and 5th graders in Colorado.
As it turned out, the reading and math results of students who studied for just four days a week went up by 6% and 12% accordingly compared to kids who attended for all five.
The findings of this research suggest that even a simple redistribution of work time can have enormous benefits for employees and companies.
This solution not only reduced the costs for heating, cooling, and powering the buildings but also produced increased worker morale.
People enjoyed the extra day off and were satisfied with the change since they were no longer slogging through rush-hour traffic.

We all encounter certain people during our lives that guide us along our paths back home to what we like to call “Source energy”. No matter the duration or significance of your relationships with people, they all serve a vital purpose and can help you grow into your highest form of existence.
Even if some of those people appear to hinder your personal growth, they have an underlying purpose of redirecting you to new people or places that will better match up with what you need on your personal spiritual journey. Some people you meet will inevitably stick around for only a short time, but make sure to keep the following types of people around for the long haul:

This person could manifest in a variety of forms, such as a family member, teacher at school, life coach, or friend. You look up to this person because they have wisdom about the universe that they invariably pass along to you. They will likely be older than you since they will have more life experience to share with you, but this isn’t always the case. The universe will send you this person in order to encourage, support, and inspire you in your journey.
This particular relationship will embody that of the student and teacher; it will mostly benefit the student (yourself), but the teacher may also learn new things from his or her younger companion. Also, the roles may have been reversed in a past incarnation, where you taught your mentor important lessons about life. You have likely met this person before in some manner in order to feel comfortable sharing details of your life and attaining wisdom and advice from them.
If you haven’t met them yet, keep on working on your own self-development, and the universe will send him or her along when it’s time.
Remember: “When the student is ready, the teacher will appear.”
Throughout your life, you will meet people that you feel you have known for lifetimes before. Some call these “soulmates,” others may resonate more with the term “soul family,” while others may call them their Soul Tribe. All of these terms essentially mean the same thing: people you encounter along your journey that you resonate with on a deep soul level. A soulmate doesn’t always show up as the opposite sex; a friend, brother, parent, or really anyone with a similar vibration as yours can manifest as part of your soul family.
Soul tribes are said to come from the same star system, and therefore reincarnate together throughout many lifetimes. You choose these people before you make the journey to Earth as the ones you wish to accomplish an important mission with, or teach you valuable lessons. Upon meeting them, you will likely feel an uncanny sense of comfort and familiarity, and may even have past life memories with them. You literally feel as though you’ve reunited with a long lost soul brother or sister, and just click with them on almost every level.
You mirror many aspects of one another, and share a part of the same soul. You immediately connect with members of your soul tribe, and will likely meet them in unexpected places, so keep your eyes and heart open for connections to form.
While opposites can encounter a lot of energetic discordance, this person will show up to inform you of what you need to work on in your path here on Earth. They won’t sugarcoat anything, as that will only distract from the message you need to hear in the moment. Some may call this person your “counterbalance,” or a force that seeks to balance you out so that you may grow into your highest self. They will show strength where you may have weaknesses, and vice-versa.
You may have arguments or disagreements with this person often, but don’t take it too personally; they just want to see you transform into the best version of yourself. For you to accomplish this, they will point out any time in which you act out of alignment with your true nature, and will provide honest insight into how you can improve. Oddly enough, many of these relationships manifest in the form of twin flames, as this relationship perfectly embodies the yin/yang, light and dark, and feminine and masculine energies.

Since I was a child I watched a lot of movies and TV shows. I LOVED the actors and the characters they played.
Many of them were my idols as I was growing up. Their lessons and presence helped me through hard times and gave me motivation. However, now it seems that EVERYTHING is about politics.
The same actors who were my idols go out of their way to make videos about voting, or why someone is a bad politician. They even get praised for spreading political propaganda using their fame acquired by acting. And some of them even see themselves as the pinnacle of our society!
But one actor has the most honest stance about his profession and his colleagues. At a roundtable discussion with other actors, Denzel Washington told his acting colleagues to get off their high horses.
“…people say: ‘Oh, the difficulty of making a movie.’ I’m like, listen, send your son to Iraq–that’s difficult. It’s just a movie. It’s like, relax. I don’t play that precious nonsense.
Making a movie is a luxury,” he stressed. “It’s an opportunity, and most importantly, it’s a gift. Obviously, everybody here is talented enough to do that, but don’t get it twisted. It’s just a movie. It ain’t that big a deal.”
Finally, some truth from the media.
Kusma Vati, 78, spends hours shovelling sand into her mouth every day, and likes to chew on the walls of her own house.
Kusma said: ‘I have been eating sand and gravel for around 63 years now, I love eating them and I don’t think they have any harmful effects.
I haven’t suffered any problems in my stomach and mouth and my teeth are absolutely fine. If anything it’s made them tougher. I can bite into the hardest stone without a problem.’

According to her, she has never seen a doctor thanks to the daily 2KG of sand.
‘I have never seen a doctor because there has just been no need, for as long as I can remember I’ve felt perfectly fine.
I started eating sand at the age of 15 and I had a bad stomach ache but that didn’t last long and now it feels like all this is very normal to me.
I feel as though the minerals in the sand give me the energy to work in the crop fields.’
There is another woman who has, suprisnigly, the same habit of eating sand.
Sudama Devi first munched sand for a joke with friends when she was just ten, but now eats up to a kilogram of the stuff everyday.

‘When I was a child my friends bet with me to eat sand. The first time I tried and I felt good. After that I ate it like a routine diet.
I eat sand daily, about one kilogram and three or four times in a day.
I never feel sick but without eating sand I do not feel hunger.’

Sudama, who said that she “loves sand like sugar” added: ‘I had seven sons and three daughters but now I have only three sons and one daughter alive. No one eats sand.’

One local in the village said: ‘She said that she eats about one kilogram of sand daily and she is fully physically fit. She has no disease in her body.’
Even though it seems counter intuitive, eating sand is not likely to be very harmful to a person unless they eat very large quantities of it, according to the medical experts at NetDoctor.co.uk
These women believe that eating sand has ‘unlocked’ the mystery of long healthy life!

Our bodies have 7 major energy centers where the flow of chi passes through.
These energy pools are called chakras and sometimes the chakras get clogged with psychoemotional debris.
There are various of ways to clean these energy vortices.
Applying healing stones on specific chakras is shown to be really effective.
Each stone has a specific frequency that interacts with the light, hence their color. The 7 chakras are in harmony with the 7 colors of the rainbow. The frequency in each energy center resonates with one of the stone’s colors.
When this frequency is applied on the specific energy center the crystal healing stone purifies that specific frequency by vibrating with its pure resonance.

If you find 2 or more of these characteristics to be true, that specific chakra is out of balance.

Each stone corresponds to the frequency of a specific chakra. Here is the guide:
Red Stone (Red Jasper) resonates with the Root or Base Chakra which is blocked by fear. When this chakra is enhanced you’ll be filled with aliveliness;
Orange Stone (Red Agate) resonates with the Navel or Sacral Chakra which is blocked by guilt. When this chakra is enhanced you’ll be filled with pleasure;
Yellow Stone (Honey Jade) resonates with the Solar Plexus Chakra which is blocked by shame. When this chakra is enhanced you’ll be filled with confidence;
Green Stone (Green Aventurine) resonates with the Heart Chakra which is blocked by grief. When this chakra is enhanced you’ll be filled with love;
Blue Stone (Lapis) resonates with the Throat Chakra which is blocked by dishonesty. When this chakra is enhanced you’ll be filled with honesty and truth;
Indigo Stone (Black Obsidian) resonates with the Third Eye Chakra which is blocked by illusion. When this chakra is enhanced you’ll be filled with intuition and vision;
Violet Stone (Amethyst) resonates with the Crown Chakra which is blocked by attachment. When this chakra is enhanced you’ll be filled with understanding;
