Meet Life Coach Melissa LaPlante:

find-life-coach-melissa-laplante

Name: Melissa LaPlante

Pillar: The Spirit, The Mind

Who is this coach for: Anyone who wants to find and become aware of their purpose, understand their identity, beliefs, values, desires, strengths, challenges, and leverage all of that to flourish into their true potential.

How they can help: By using various tools and techniques customized to each individual’s needs.

First of all, how are you and your family doing after these Pandemic times?

We are doing well.

Thankfully we did not lose anyone close to us.

We learned to adapt as the rest of the world had to do.

I am grateful for our blessings.

How did the coronavirus pandemic affect your clients? Did it affect you at all?

Throughout the pandemic, I was contracted to work with a Foster Home.

In addition to adhering to preventive measures such as masking, my primary challenge was finding innovative ways to engage clients who were experiencing boredom and confinement at home, struggling to apply the skills they were learning.

This period was marked by uncertainty and apathy due to the constantly evolving situation.

However, maintaining a consistent level of enthusiasm and dedication towards personal growth and empowerment in the midst of uncertainty not only facilitated my growth as a Coach but also kept my clients engaged and hopeful.

What are the biggest lessons that you learned in this pandemic?

That no matter what the circumstances, obstacles, or adversities, Humanity will always find a way to thrive.

The Origin:

Tell us about you, your career, how you started with your coaching career?

For as long as I can recall, I have been the trusted individual whom people turn to for inspiration and empowerment.

A decade ago, I discovered the path of Life Coaching and instantly knew it was my calling.

I obtained certification in 2014 and spent the initial six years of my coaching career within a corporate setting.

In 2019, just before the onset of the pandemic, I made a conscious decision to delve deeper into inspiring and transforming lives.

Over the following years, I dedicated myself to working with Developmentally Delayed and Autistic Foster Youth, aiming to make a meaningful impact in their lives.

Having completed this fulfilling journey, I am now embarking on my ultimate aspiration of making a positive difference on a global scale.

What was your biggest obstacle that you had to overcome in your life that made you who you are today?

I really can’t pick just one because they each shaped me. I’d say the top 3 are:

1. Growing up poor and in a dangerous and abusive environment.

2. Growing up navigating undiagnosed Autism, ADHD, and OCD.

3. Cancer and other health related issues.

The Coaching Style:

How do you innovate with coaching your clients?

I adopt a deeply personalized approach with my clients, guiding them through a transformative journey of self discovery.

This process not only empowers them to embrace their inherent potential and purpose but also equips them with a tailored action plan to turn their aspirations into reality.

What’s unique about your coaching approach?

I am uniquely equipped with a wealth of diverse experiences that have shaped me into who I am today.

Overcoming a myriad of challenges throughout my life has honed the method I now impart to others seeking guidance.

Steering away from a one size fits all approach, I tailor my methods to the individual needs of each soul, aligning with their unique purpose.

By blending my experiences, intuition, and adept teaching skills, I provide the nurturing support that acts as vital sustenance, akin to water for a plant.

Just as water facilitates the growth of a plant, I empower individuals to flourish and evolve in their own beautiful way, allowing their innate potential to bloom and thrive.

What benefits do your clients get after working with you?

They possess a clear understanding of their identity, beliefs, values, desires, strengths, challenges, and how to leverage their strengths to surmount obstacles or seek assistance when needed.

Additionally, they are aware of their unique contribution to humanity and are supported in taking tangible steps towards realizing their purpose.

Do you use any specific tools to be efficient with your clients?

My toolkit varies according to the unique requirements of each client, as I recognize the diverse ways in which individuals absorb information.

To maximize the efficacy of my coaching, I meticulously customize my methodology to align with the distinct needs, objectives, and preferred learning modalities of every client.

The Impact:

If you had a super megaphone that, when you speak into, the whole world will hear your message, what would you say?

We exist as individual cells within the expansive organism of collective energy.

When we embrace our true selves and actively chase our profound calling, we resonate at our correct frequency, harmonizing with the cosmic symphony of existence.

Just as everything is woven from vibrations emitting diverse frequencies, the essence of our combined being creates a magnificent song.

Each of us embodies a unique role in this melodic composition, as a great song once said “Some are like water, some are like the heat, some are the melody, and some are the beat”

Because, we are all destined to play a distinct and essential note in the beautiful harmony of life.

What is the greatest lesson you have learned in your life?

In the pursuit of your aspirations, it is essential to heed the whisperings of your heart, for it knows the path that resonates with your true essence.

Embrace unwavering faith in your abilities, trusting in the depths of your being that you possess the strength and resilience to overcome any obstacle that stands in your way.

Refuse to grant even the slightest credence to doubt, whether it arises from within your own thoughts or is projected by external voices.

Let your inner confidence shine brightly, illuminating the path ahead with unwavering determination and belief in your boundless potential.

Embrace the journey with courage, conviction, and a steadfast resolve to manifest your dreams into reality.

Your final thoughts?

In short, my coaching approach is all about providing individualized support that respects the distinct paths and dreams of every client.

My main aim is to uplift individuals, helping them realize their true capabilities, reach their objectives, and flourish in various aspects of their lives.

On a broader scale, I aspire to impact purpose driven lives, not only on a personal level but also by uniting talented individuals I meet along the way to collaborate on significant global initiatives that benefit humanity, drawing upon their unique talents.

3 Ways How to Be a Better Human Being

As a human being, there are always things you can do to improve how you live and interact with others that will improve your relationships and personal wellbeing.

Being a good person isn’t about constantly giving to others or sacrificing yourself for someone else.

Although the definition is arbitrary and can change person to person, it involves cultivating the skills to make others feel good and appreciated in your presence, and doing the right thing for its own sake and not for a reward.

Being the best person you can be takes practice with plenty of mistakes along the way.

Whether your goal is to inspire others through leading by example, or you just want to improve yourself for your own interests, here are some things that will help you through your journey.

3 Ways How to Be a Better Human:

ways-how-to-be-a-better-human-being

1. Try to decrease how often you use your phone

The average American spends 4.5 hours a day on their phone and most of that time is spent scrolling through social media.

That’s a lot of wasted time.

With the exception of planned phone calls, meetings, and business activities, try limiting how much you use your smartphone and connect with friends instead.

Most people consider it rude to use a phone in certain public places, like restaurants, churches, and movie theaters.

However, it’s equally rude to be glued to your screen when you’re with friends.

It might feel completely normal to whip out your phone when spending time with other people, but it makes you less present with others, which can damage your relationships.

Besides, the more you use your phone around your friends, the greater the risk of it being damaged.

For instance, say a friend bumps into you and makes you drop your device.

If this happens, hopefully you’ve got a solid protective case for your phone so you don’t end up with a cracked screen.

However, if there’s any damage, you might feel angry toward your friend and that won’t be good for your relationship.

When you avoid using your phone while hanging out with friends, they will notice.

It will give you the opportunity to develop a stronger relationship with them and have deeper conversations that aren’t interrupted by notifications and other random sounds.

If you want more meaningful relationships in your life, you have to cultivate them from the ground up, which begins by being present with people instead of your phone.

2. Learn active listening

In a conversation, people want to be heard.

Really heard.

They don’t want to feel like the other person is ignoring their points or walking over them just to argue.

Making someone feel truly heard requires active listening, which is essentially the art of getting into someone else’s world for the purpose of understanding their communication even if you disagree.

There is a big difference between hearing the words someone speaks and genuinely listening.

For the most part, people having a conversation are almost always waiting to talk.

They’re taking in bits and pieces of what the other person is saying while forming ideas in their mind about what they want to say to either agree or refute some points.

Instead of getting the other person’s communication, they’re waiting for the first opportunity to jump in and share what’s on their mind.

Although it’s common and people are used to it, this isn’t a real conversation.

It makes people feel invisible and unheard.

To be the kind of person who makes others feel seen and heard, you need to develop active listening skills.

When you do, people will feel naturally comfortable around you and many will feel like you’re the first person who has ever truly listened.

3. Ask clarifying questions

Nearly every point made in a conversation requires clarifying questions to be fully understood.

It helps to repeat what you think someone is saying to make sure you understand, and then ask additional questions to make sure you fully understand what they are (and are not) saying.

For example, you might say, “what I hear you saying is that you love spaghetti, but only on Thursdays if there’s fresh garlic.”

Then let the other person confirm or correct your perception.

From there, ask additional questions as needed to make sure you fully get their communication.

Strive to be the best version of yourself…

There is no right or wrong place to be in life.

You are where you are, and the good news is that you can always improve.

Whether you want to be a better listener, friend, coach, or neighbor, all the hard work you do on yourself will benefit yourself and the other people in your life.

8 Easy Ways How to Boost Your Self Esteem When You’re Feeling Down

Even the most confident, successful, attractive people sometimes suffer from self doubt or low self esteem.

It doesn’t diminish your quality as a person, and it certainly doesn’t make you abnormal.

What’s important is that you recognize this face for what it is and find ways to boost your self esteem when you’re feeling at your lowest.

How do you do it?

8 Easy Ways How to Boost Your Self Esteem:

how-to-boost-your-self-esteem-when-youre-down

1. Do Something Physically Challenging

Consider doing something physically challenging.

Depending on your current fitness level, that could mean anything from setting a new personal record for running a half marathon or just doing 10 push ups and 10 sit ups.

It’s not a matter of how much work you do or how intense your exercise is, it’s a matter of pushing your personal limits.

This physical exercise is going to give you a boost of dopamine and possibly adrenaline, which will make you feel better.

Even more importantly, it will give you a sense of accomplishment that can boost your self esteem.

If you constantly challenge yourself in a physical way, you’ll also improve your personal fitness, improving your confidence even further.

Trust me, try this…

How many push ups you can do in one set without stopping? 10? 20?

If 10 is your limit, aim to do 11. In all probability you can squeeze all your extra strength to push that one final rep.

You don’t need to do a full workout (if you want, even better), just try this challenge.

Just try it for the sake of trying it, push yourself physically, challenge yourself.

And you will see how your self esteem improves almost instantly after completing your challenge.

2. Treat Yourself to New Clothes or Accessories

If you have the extra money to spend, consider treating yourself to some new clothes or accessories.

Investing in new attire changes how you look and how you see yourself and can help you carry yourself more confidently.

For example, you could buy yourself a new leather purse or handbag, the purchase itself won’t make you feel better about yourself, but putting it together with a new outfit and going out on the town likely will.

Dentist Leominster MA also adds that you can also treat yourself to a teeth whitening treatment to give your smile a simple makeover.

3. Clean Up and Dress Up

If you don’t have the extra money to buy new clothes or accessories, consider fully utilizing what you already have.

Spend some time cleaning yourself up and dressing up to change how you see yourself and how you feel in your environment.

Even simple actions, like taking a shower, brushing your teeth, and wearing something that looks professional can totally refresh your self image.

4. Make a Gratitude List

Gratitude is scientifically proven to improve your confidence, mood, and overall well being, so it’s something you should practice regularly.

No matter how down on yourself you currently feel or how frustrated you are about your life circumstances, there are things that you can be grateful for.

For example, you might be grateful to have the job you do, to have your health intact, or to have the opportunity to watch a great movie or TV show.

Your list of gratitude doesn’t have to be exhaustive or incredibly detailed, this is just an opportunity for you to recognize the most positive things in your life at the moment.

Write this down on a physical piece of paper to make it even more impactful.

5. Talk to Friends and Family Members

Even if you don’t see yourself in a positive light right now, you probably have friends or family members who do.

Consider reaching out to them and asking them for some extra support, or just spend some time with them doing something you love.

They’ll likely help you feel better about yourself and help you see the world more positively.

6. Practice Good Posture

Perhaps surprisingly, your posture plays an important role in how you see yourself and how you think about yourself.

Keep your shoulders back, with your back as straight as possible, as often as you can.

You can also practice power postures in the mirror to make yourself look bigger and make yourself feel more powerful.

7. Cook a Nutritious Meal

Everyone feels better about themselves and about their own lives when they’re well fed and adequately hydrated.

Accordingly, take some time to cook yourself a densely nutritious meal, and drink plenty of water to restore your hydration levels.

8. Set a Learning or Development Goal (and Achieve It)

Finally, consider setting a goal for your own personal learning or development, then start working to achieve it.

Achieving challenging goals is one of the best ways to boost your self esteem in the long term.

These are just a few examples to help you brainstorm:

  1. A language. There are many benefits of learning a second or subsequent language. It will also make you feel smarter and better rounded.
  2. A game or sport. Consider learning a new game or sport, or getting better at a specific aspect of a game or sport you already play regularly.
  3. A musical instrument. Take up a musical instrument, refine your abilities on an existing musical instrument, or learn a new skill related to your instrument playing, like learning how to read sheet music.

Even a few of these practices should be sufficient to boost your self esteem when you’re at your lowest.

There’s a lot to be grateful for and a lot to love about yourself, you just need to give yourself the opportunity to identify and appreciate these things.

This is How Nutrition Affects Children’s Cognitive Function

Your kid’s cognitive development is as important as its health.

There are many factors that can influence your child’s mental development

The overall development of children is significantly impacted by nutrition, which fundamentally affects cognitive function.

The brain, particularly in the early years, requires lots of nutrients for proper growth and functioning.

Let’s learn a bit more about it!

How Nutrition Affects Children’s Cognitive Function:

how-nutrition-affects-children-s-cognitive-function

Significance of Early Nutrition:

During infancy and early childhood, the brain grows rapidly.

Proper nutrition during this period is important for neural connections and brain structure formation.

Proteins, fats, vitamins and minerals among other key nutrients are very important in cognitive development.

Key Nutrients for Cognitive Function

Some specific nutrients are crucial for brain health and cognitive function:

Omega 3 Fatty Acids: They are essential for the structure and function of brain cells that support learning and memory. They help ensure that neurons communicate effectively, which is key for learning and memory.

Iron: It’s required for energy metabolism within the brains; deficiencies can hinder cognitive development.

Zinc: It is vital to neurotransmitter activity as well as signaling between cells in the brain.

Choline: A critical nutrient for the creation of memory centers in the brain.

Vitamins such as A, C, D and E synthesize neurotransmitter synthesis while protecting from oxidative stress on brain cells. Without enough of these nutrients, kids might experience deficits that affect their cognitive abilities, memory, and overall mental health.

Nutrition Balance Towards Cognitive Development:

Balanced nutrition ensures a child receives all necessary nutrients needed for optimal development of their brains.

Lack of some essential nutrients can cause attention difficulties or problems with memory hence affecting problem solving skills.

Conversely, eating a well balanced diet assists with thinking skills and academic performance.

But what happens if you cannot give your child all the necessary nutrients in a natural way?

Here is what one of our video editors did…

HiPP Formula Germany: Supporting Cognitive Development

HiPP Formula Germany is a good example of a product that provides comprehensive nutritional support to infants (take a look: https://thebestfromjapan.com/organic-milk-formula/hipp-organic-milk-formula/hipp-germany-organic-milk-formula).

Essential ingredients supporting mental growth along with physical wellbeing have not been left out in this baby formula from germany.

According to one of our video editors who became a mom for the third time this year, these are the top 3 benefits:

Rich In Essential Nutrients: It has a perfect blend of vitamins, minerals as well as fatty acids.

Top Quality Ingredients: Made from organic materials that ensure pureness and safety for consumption compared to many other things she tried.

High on Prebiotics and Probiotics: They are vital for a healthy gut fauna necessary for overall health and brain activity.

Long Term Impact of Nutrition on Cognitive Function:

Simply put, what kids eat today can significantly influence how their brains work both now and in the future.

Essential nutrients like omega 3 fatty acids, antioxidants, vitamins, and minerals play a starring role in this process.

Antioxidants, plentiful in fruits and vegetables, are like the brain’s personal bodyguards. They fend off oxidative stress and inflammation, both of which can harm brain cells and are linked to long term cognitive issues.

On the flip side, a diet rich in these essential nutrients supports brain plasticity, which is the brain’s ability to adapt and learn new things.

It also enhances memory and lowers the risk of cognitive decline as children grow older.

Overall, a well fed child during their childhood days will get better grades, behave well and experience fewer cases of developmental disorders.

So, take care of your kids and make the right choice!

7 Reasons Why Energy Efficiency Matters for Your Business

Transforming buildings into more energy efficient spaces has been a big deal for the last few decades, and it’s not just something homeowners do to get rebates on their solar panel systems.

Increasing energy efficiency can have a positive impact on your business and the brand image you portray to the world.

If you have yet to get on board with this concept, here’s why you should start today.

7 Reasons Why Energy Efficiency is Important for Your Business:

energy-efficiency-matters-for-your-business

1. Energy efficiency can save you money

The first reason to prioritize energy efficiency is to save money.

Even if you care more about the environment than taming your cash flow, you can’t run a business if your expenses are too high.

Taking steps to become more energy efficient will lower your heating and cooling bills, and depending on your current situation, that can amount to saving hundreds or thousands every year.

Energy usage in a commercial space is somewhat unpredictable from month to month.

However, most business owners can save money on power by upgrading the building’s transformer.

You may not realize that the power company charges you for all of the electricity that is sent to you from the main station, but when that electricity passes through your transformer, a significant amount of energy is lost in the process of converting the voltage.

However, some transformers waste less energy than others.

Transformer manufacturers are required to produce units that meet certain energy efficient standards set by the U.S. Department of Energy.

While you aren’t required to replace your transformer, when you buy one that meets or exceeds the energy efficient standards, you’ll see significant savings on your monthly energy bills.

2. Saving energy helps the environment

Making your business energy efficient will reduce your carbon footprint.

It’s possible to lower your greenhouse gas emissions by 25% by simply investing in energy efficient systems for your building.

3. Energy efficient properties are in high demand

Whether you own a business or you’re a commercial real estate investor, making your properties energy efficient will significantly increase their value.

Energy efficient properties often sell for a higher premium even when there are comparable features.

People are willing to pay more for a building thy know will help them save money on utility bills far into the future.

4. Your staff will be more comfortable

When a building is well insulated, you’ll use far less energy to heat it during the winter and cool it during the summer.

In addition to lowering your utility bills, it will increase comfort levels for everyone who works in your building.

For example, they won’t have to huddle up next to a heater or layer their clothing just to stay warm when it’s chilly outside.

In a well insulated building, heat will stay in the building rather than escaping out the roof.

Weatherproofing your building will also include drafts coming from windows and doors.

Insulation will also keep cool air in during the hot summer months when you have to run the air conditioner all day long.

A more surprising benefit of having an energy efficient building is how it will prevent pollutants from building up, like dust and pollen.

There’s also less of a chance for mold growth because energy efficiency keeps moisture out of the building.

5. More energy efficient laws might exist in the future

Another important point to consider is that future laws might require you to meet certain energy efficient standards and there could be consequences for not following through.

The sooner you make your buildings efficient, the better.

There’s no way to know exactly what the future laws might be, but it’s a safe bet to say that the United States might end up following standards already established in Europe.

6. Customers want to support energy efficient businesses

Nothing will financially impact your business more than customers who either love you or want to boycott you.

Today’s consumers expect the businesses they support to be concerned about the environment, even if it’s just through small actions.

People want to spend money with businesses that take environmental issues seriously, and 23% are willing to pay more for products and services provided by businesses that actively work to reduce their carbon footprint.

7. Potential employees search for sustainable businesses

In addition to customers, there are plenty of job seekers who look for businesses with sustainable practices and if you want access to top talent, sustainability will help.

This goes beyond just making your building energy efficient, however.

Running a sustainable business means reducing your carbon footprint throughout the entire chain of operations.

Make energy efficiency a priority!

If you haven’t already prioritized energy efficiency for your business, now is the time.

When you do, you’ll get ahead of potential future laws and your building will be a more pleasant place to work.

Meet Life Coach David Martino:

find-life-coach-david-martino

Name: David M. Martino

Pillar: The Spirit, The Mind

Who is this coach for: Anyone who wants to gain clarity, align with their values and uncover their purpose.

How they can help: By using various techniques and tools like the Integrated Life Management® mobile app and Quenza coaching software, just to name a few.

First of all, how are you and your family doing after these Pandemic times?

Thank you so much, we are well, thank God.

I do much of my work remotely, so the transition to hybrid working has been a natural one.

How did the coronavirus pandemic affect your clients? Did it affect you at all?

I find that many have adapted in some ingenious ways to a post pandemic world, primarily, but learning and using new technology that they may not have otherwise engaged.

I think clients are starting to have some fun with new ideas, and realizing ways to incorporate self care into their lives by getting creative.

What are the biggest lessons that you learned in this pandemic?

The biggest lessons I learned during the pandemic were to rely on the objective standards I set for myself in my life and work, to utilize these standards as benchmarks for my success.

Focusing on objective standards helps me to prevent being distracted as I remain true to my purpose while making progress toward goals.

The Origin:

Tell us about you, your career, how you started with your coaching career?

I began my career in management and consulting in 1998 after receiving my Bachelors from Carnegie Mellon University.

Then in 2010, I took an important step incorporating my company, which was a dream come true.

Shortly thereafter, I earned my Masters Degree and really began to explore what it might be like to start coaching.

Last year, after doing some due diligence research, I earned my Life Coach certification (CLC) from The Life Purpose Institute and opened Integrated Life Management®, a full service coaching company.

Since then, I’ve taken several classes, it has been a labor of love, a welcome evolution of the work I have been doing throughout my life.

I’ve earned a Purpose Clarity Program certification from ILCT, begun the Diploma Program in Logotherapy and Existential Analysis at The Viktor Frankl Institute of Ireland, and I’m currently finishing an advanced certification from LPI in preparation for the ICF exam.

I find myself reading coaching books voraciously, I believe it is important to expand my vocabulary in order to enhance our offerings.

Currently, Integrated Life Management® features seven terrific, really skilled coaches.

What was your biggest obstacle that you had to overcome in your life that made you who you are today?

The biggest obstacle I’ve ever faced, aside from losing my dear father in 1989, was surviving professional burnout in 2009.

The burnout was brought on by an unhealthy view of how to achieve my working goals and the total sacrifice of any personal life to speak of.

After experiencing an extreme low point, I discovered through prayer, self care, learning, discipline and the love of family and friends which values I was called to enhance and nurture as best as I could in my daily life.

These values are integrity, kindness and resilience, and I am always looking for ways to practice them fully.

It was during the period of rebuilding afterward, that I got closer to my goals: I became a better family member, friend, more effective executive and advisor, and from there made the decision to venture out on my own in business and consulting, and ultimately into coaching.

I remember developing my yearly goals as a young executive and learning that I found fulfillment in helping others to find what is fulfilling to them.

The progression to coaching was a natural journey for me.

The Coaching Style:

How do you innovate with coaching your clients?

One innovation we are proud to announce, is our Integrated Life Management® mobile coaching app, now available on Apple App Store and Google Play Store. Guided by our motto Discover Wisdom.™

We are working to make coaching accessible to anyone who wants to book, meet, chat and pay their coach with their smartphone.

Our aim is to continue to innovate so more people can reap the benefits of truly partnering with a qualified coach who is there to help you uncover your purpose, align your values and really, joyously create the life they want.

What’s unique about your coaching approach?

My coaching approach is unique because of the individualized metaphors I try to employ in order to reflect back a client’s point of view or realization.

I find that clients are able to draw connections more readily when we partner, and this enhances clarity.

What benefits do your clients get after working with you?

Clients have told me that they are more secure in their purpose as a result of working with me.

I believe clarity is a huge benefit that comes from work with a quality coach, and this is a big takeaway for our clients.

Do you use any specific tools to be efficient with your clients?

I use our app, the Integrated Life Management® mobile app, and I also use Quenza coaching software.

The Impact:

If you had a super megaphone that, when you speak into, the whole world will hear your message, what would you say?

Life has a flow to tap into, and once you do, it becomes more natural to live your purpose.

What is the greatest lesson you have learned in your life?

The greatest lesson I have learned in my life is to trust God.

In that trust, He has taught me that integrity, a solid foundation, is necessary for any structure or endeavor, and is especially important when building relationships.

Your final thoughts?

Intention is a powerful force: it is important to devote one’s attention to discovering a focus and then building from it.

My personal motto is “Build Intently.”

The pandemic allowed us to spend ample time together as a family, enabling us to witness many of her first milestones firsthand, a truly precious opportunity.

The extended time at home not only strengthened our family bonds but also provided us with a deeper understanding of the importance of flexibility and adaptability in both personal and professional contexts.

As we adapt to the post pandemic ‘new normal,’ we find ourselves with a renewed appreciation for the challenges that all families face in balancing their daily lives.

This period has heightened our awareness of the value of community support and the need for resilience in times of uncertainty.

Reflecting on these experiences, we’ve also recognized the critical role of well being and mental health in our overall life balance.

It has been an adjustment, for sure, but these insights have enriched our approach to family life and work, and we continue to apply these lessons as we navigate the future.

How did the coronavirus pandemic affect your clients? Did it affect you at all?

The coronavirus pandemic has undeniably reshaped the landscape in which we all operate, impacting me and my clients in profound ways.

During this time, I observed a noticeable increase in the demand for coaching services.

Many individuals felt disconnected from the physical world and found themselves navigating uncharted personal and professional paths.

For some, this isolation provided a unique opportunity for introspection and self development, allowing them to thrive in solitude.

However, for others, the sudden shift was disorienting and challenging, leaving them feeling lost and in need of guidance.

In response to these varied needs, my coaching focus shifted significantly.

I found myself providing more life coaching to help clients find stability and clarity in their personal lives.

As the world started to adapt to the new norms, the coaching gradually began to bridge the gap between personal growth and professional development.

This transition was critical as it helped individuals reconnect the dots to their careers, integrating the insights gained from their personal experiences during the pandemic.

The pandemic also underscored the importance of adaptability and resilience, qualities that are at the core of successful coaching relationships.

By working closely with my clients during this tumultuous period, I helped them navigate the complexities of their situations, fostering a sense of purpose and direction amidst uncertainty.

This experience not only reinforced the value of coaching but also enhanced my approach by integrating deeper emotional and psychological support to meet the evolving needs of my clients.

What are the biggest lessons that you learned in this pandemic?

1. Flexibility and Adaptability: The sudden shift to virtual interactions required flexibility in methods and an open mind towards new technologies and techniques to effectively communicate and support clients.

2. Resilience and Mental Health: The importance of focusing on resilience and mental health became more apparent. Coaches had to equip clients with strategies to manage stress, uncertainty, and isolation.

3. Emphasizing Communication: Clear, compassionate, and frequent communication was crucial as people navigated the uncertainties of the pandemic. Helping clients express their needs and concerns effectively became a core part of coaching.

4. The Power of Community: Building and maintaining a sense of community, even virtually, was vital in overcoming the feelings of isolation. Encouraging clients to seek and offer support within their networks was essential.

5. Prioritization and Boundaries: Many people struggled with work life balance during the pandemic. Coaches learned to help clients prioritize tasks and set boundaries, especially when home became the workplace.

Tell us about you, your career, how you started with your coaching career?

I have amassed over 15 years of experience in human resources, a realm where coaching inherently intertwines with daily responsibilities.

My true coaching journey began when I transitioned into Corporate America after moving countries.

It was there that I started to apply my coaching skills extensively outside my formal role, which sparked my decision to pursue a formal certification in coaching.

Throughout my career, coaching has been a source of profound fulfillment for me.

I am deeply committed to empowering individuals to thrive in their careers and personal lives.

This dedication to fostering growth and excellence in others is not just a professional choice but a personal mission, giving me a profound sense of purpose.

What was your biggest obstacle that you had to overcome in your life that made you who you are today?

My most significant challenge has been mastering the art of relinquishing control over aspects outside my influence.

Embracing a methodical, action driven strategy has significantly enhanced my ability to address and overcome various challenges in my professional journey.

The Coaching Style:

We have innovated by leveraging…

1. Technology Integration: Utilizing AI and data analytics to provide personalized insights and progress tracking as one of the first platforms that helped us revolutionize how we coach and understand and respond to client needs.

3. Customized Learning Pathways: Developing personalized coaching programs based on deep learning assessments that tailor the coaching strategy to each individual’s unique needs and goals.

What’s unique about your coaching approach?

A unique approach to coaching involves integrating storytelling and narrative techniques into the coaching process.

This method capitalizes on the power of personal stories to uncover deep insights, foster emotional connections, and facilitate transformative changes.

As a coach I encourage clients to make and share their own stories, which can reveal underlying values, conflicts, and aspirations.

This approach not only enhances self awareness but also helps clients reframe their perspectives, envision new possibilities, and strategize their actions in alignment with their core values and goals.

By weaving storytelling into sessions, I help to create a rich, empathetic environment that propels clients toward more meaningful and sustainable growth.

In my coaching practice, I employ a variety of tools to enhance efficiency and deliver personalized, impactful coaching experiences.

Here are some key tools and techniques that I utilize:

1. Digital Platforms and Communication Tools: I leverage state of the art digital platforms that facilitate seamless communication and interaction with my clients. Tools like Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and Google Meets enable virtual face to face sessions that are essential for maintaining connectivity and engagement in a remote environment.

2. AI and Data Analytics: To tailor my coaching sessions to individual needs, I integrate AI tools that analyze behavioral patterns and feedback. This technology helps in providing personalized insights and recommendations, making the coaching experience more aligned with each client’s unique goals and challenges.

3. Assessment Tools: I utilize various psychological and skill assessments to gain deeper insights into my clients’ personalities, strengths, and areas for development. These tools include personality tests, 360 degree feedback surveys, and skills assessments, which are crucial for developing a focused and effective coaching plan.

4. Collaborative Tools: Tools such as Slack are used for ongoing communication and project management. These tools help keep the coaching process organized and transparent, allowing for real time updates and collaboration.

By integrating these tools, I ensure that my coaching sessions are not only efficient but also deeply transformative, helping clients achieve their personal and professional objectives effectively.

Let’s cherish and respect our diversity, cultivate compassion, and work together to solve the complex challenges facing our planet.

Every small act of kindness and every step towards understanding each other contributes to a better world for all of us.

What is the greatest lesson you have learned in your life?

One of the greatest lessons I’ve learned is the importance of adaptability.

Being able to adjust to new situations, challenges, and information is crucial not just for surviving but for thriving in a rapidly changing world.

It helps in personal growth, problem solving, and making the most of opportunities that come your way.

Find Life Coach | Meet Jagoda Vitez: How to Make Your Mind a Home for Good Thoughts?

Jagoda Vitez is one of the coaches that we found this month and we did a little interview with her. She impressed us with her courage and strength of character.

She champions an innovative “inside out” approach, helping clients unlock their inner wisdom and strengths to drive lasting change. Through a combination of Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP), mindfulness, and reflective questioning, she empowers individuals to embrace their worth, navigate life’s challenges with grace, and achieve a deeper sense of fulfillment.

Her unique perspective and dedication to continuous learning set her apart, making her a beacon of hope and transformation for those seeking to break free from their limitations and thrive in all aspects of life.

She didn’t start smoothly though. She faced a pivotal moment when her professional capabilities were publicly questioned due to her role as a mother, despite her dedication of over 14 years to HR roles and preventive projects. This challenge not only ignited her determination but also steered her towards a new path: coaching. Today, she leverages her extensive training and personal experiences to guide others, particularly women, through their own journeys of overcoming trauma and self doubt by activating the superpowers of their own mind. Here is what she said.

First of all, how are you and your family doing after these Pandemic times?

Fortunately, my family and I have managed to maintain our psychological and mental well being throughout the pandemic.

We are doing well, and things have mostly returned to normal.

As a parent of three amazing kids, life is always full of excitement and surprises, which keeps things interesting.

How did the coronavirus pandemic affect your clients? Did it affect you at all?

While the pandemic brought many challenges, it also provided an opportunity for personal growth and deepening connections with my family.

I managed to maintain a positive mindset and engage in activities that bring me joy, such as spending time in nature and staying active.

However, I observed that the pandemic had a significant impact on many people, increasing anxiety, stress, and depression, especially among teenagers.

I dedicated time to supporting my clients through these difficult times, focusing on their mental well being and helping them navigate the challenges they faced.

What are the biggest lessons that you learned in this pandemic?

The pandemic taught me the value of quality time with my loved ones and the importance of focusing on what truly matters.

I cherished the moments spent with my children and embraced solitude as an opportunity for self improvement.

It shifted my priorities and inspired me to integrate more things I love doing into my everyday life.

The Origin:

Tell us about you, your career, how you started with your coaching career?

From a young age, I’ve had a strong desire to help others find well being and positively impact society.

This led me to work in the anti-corruption field for over 14 years, engaging in various preventive projects and HR roles.

However, I felt the need to do more.

Becoming a coach was a natural progression as I wanted to reach out and help more people.

The turning point came about nine years ago when I was appointed as a member of the HR commission to hold interviews with supervisory board candidates.

I was finishing my third maternity leave, and this information wasn´t known to the public, but somebody gave it to the press.

Shortly after, some of my country’s leading newspapers published articles about me.

I am not suitable for this position, I’m incapable of doing this, and I am not professional enough as I am a mother of three kids.

Although challenging, this experience ignited a fire within me to prove myself and support others, especially women, who are facing challenges in moving forward after experiencing various traumas and bad experiences that have left them feeling stagnant and insecure.

I completed the Life Coach Certification Program, NLP Practitioner training, and the Ultimate Coach program.

I also hold a bachelor’s degree in philosophy and a master’s in management.

I continue to invest in my own learning and growth to provide the best support to my clients.

What was your biggest obstacle that you had to overcome in your life that made you who you are today?

My biggest obstacle was breaking free from imposter syndrome and realizing I possessed everything I needed.

I learned to recognize my worth and embrace myself, which transformed my perspective and allowed me to grow into who I am today.

The Coaching Style:

How do you innovate with coaching your clients?

In my coaching practice, I embrace an inside out approach that focuses on helping clients tap into their innate wisdom, strengths, and values to drive meaningful change.

By guiding them to explore their beliefs, perspectives, and emotions, I empower them to create sustainable transformations from within.

Innovation is a crucial aspect of my coaching approach. I constantly seek new ways to enhance my clients’ coaching experiences by staying committed to my own learning and growth.

What’s unique about your coaching approach?

What sets my coaching approach apart is the inside out perspective I adopt.

Many people seek peace of mind through external activities and practices, but I guide my clients to discover their own inner wisdom and strength.

By understanding the interplay between thoughts, consciousness, and experiences, clients gain hope, resilience, and a deeper understanding of how their thoughts shape their lives.

What benefits do your clients get after working with you?

Through my coaching, clients gain the understanding to navigate challenges with grace, improve relationships, excel in their careers, and achieve overall well being.

They learn to embrace all experiences, even the most challenging ones, without fear.

They cultivate self acceptance, understanding, and increased confidence, compassion, and patience.

This journey opens the door to a more fulfilling, peaceful, and empowered life.

Clients discover their inner strength and wisdom to face any situation, living with clarity, peace, and confidence in every moment.

Do you use any specific tools to be efficient with your clients?

I believe all “the tools” my clients and I need are already within us.

We possess our own inner compass and wisdom.

However, sometimes, we need additional resources to support our growth and development.

Depending on my client, I draw upon various techniques and tools in my coaching practice, such as Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP), mindfulness practices, visualization exercises, goal setting strategies, and reflective questioning.

These tools help facilitate self discovery, promote clarity, and support clients in creating and implementing action plans.

The Impact:

If you had a super megaphone that, when you speak into, the whole world will hear your message, what would you say?

Look within for wisdom, beauty, and peace.

Your fulfillment lies within you, not in external circumstances.

Embrace your inner power and live a truly fulfilling life.

What is the greatest lesson you have learned in your life?

The greatest lesson I’ve learned is that I can achieve anything I set my mind to by making a decision, taking action, and letting go of limiting beliefs.

I discovered the power of self belief and the ability to create my own path.

Your final thoughts?

Coaching is a powerful and empowering process that supports individuals in achieving their goals, unlocking their potential, and leading fulfilling lives.

It provides a safe and supportive space for self reflection, exploration, and growth.

As a coach, my passion lies in helping clients discover their strengths, overcome challenges, and create positive and lasting change.

I believe in the inherent potential within each person and am dedicated to guiding them on their unique journey of self discovery and personal development.

My advice to all readers is to embrace the power of the present moment, for it is all you truly have.

By remaining fully present, you can find joy and meaning in every experience and learn valuable lessons.

Cherish each moment and make the most of it, knowing that it lays the foundation for the next moment to be even more fulfilling and joyful.
