The Worrying Truth About Vitamin B12 Deficiency Vegans Should Be Aware Of

0

Vitamin B12 happens to be one of the most essential, yet neglected trace nutrients that our body requires.

Because it plays an important part in the metabolism rate of the body, a deficiency of this nutrient for an extended amount of time can lead to long-term diseases and nerve conditions.

It is crucial that one catches the first signs of B12 deficiency and treats it on time to prevent further health problems.

7 Warning Signs Of Vitamin B12 Deficiency:Truth About Vitamin B12 Deficiency

1. Dizziness

Frequent bouts of vertigo and light-headedness can be warning signs of serious B12 deficiency. These situations can become especially messy outdoors as a person can trip and fall and injure themselves.

If such things seem chronic, it is best to consult a doctor and receive treatment.

2. Memory Loss and Forgetfulness

Uncharacteristic forgetfulness like forgetting where you kept your keys, the name of an old friend etc might just be a deficiency of B12 and not the onset of early dementia.

It has been seen that many senior citizens who think they have Alzheimer’s actually have chronic B12 deficiency.

This can be diagnosed by a simple blood test and remedied by a B12 supplement regimen.

3. Muscular Weakness

If your grocery bags feel like a thousand pounds, it’s probably because of oxygen deprivation of muscle cells by the red blood corpuscles. Now this sluggishness can be a result of B12 deprivation.

4. Pallor

If you lost that “pinkish hue/rosy glow” (Phrase courtesy: George Costanza from Seinfeld) that is characteristic to healthy and vigorous people, and now have a yellow tint like the “little negress” from the Sherlock Holmes short story, the Adventure of the Yellow Face, it might be because of a B12 deficiency which causes the body to produce more and more bilirubin.

5. Pins And Needles

Insufficient amounts of B12 causes what is known as pins and needles or paraesthesia. This is because of the nerve damage caused by the deficiency.

6. Unexplained Fatigue

If you are still tired after sleeping for extended periods of time, it might be a sign of B12 deficiency. This is because the body is unable to produce enough erythrocytes than it does normally.

7. Eyesight Problems

Although rare, but chronic B12 deficiency causes optic neuropathy. Supplements can help restore proper vision.

Health Benefits Of Vitamin B12

  1. Prevents heart disease and stroke.
  2. Prevents nerve damage.
  3. Supports Energy.
  4. Helps digestion.
  5. Helps produce erythrocytes and prevent anaemia.
  6. Good for bones.

Hence, it is also very important to diagnose and remedy its deficiencies in time, so as not to aggravate the conditions to an irreversible degree.

7 Things You Should Never Tell To Anyone

This world, even though it depends on truth, still needs balance. Some truth it’s better kept unspoken!

That’s why, some of the wisest people that ever lived warn us to keep our mouths shut about certain things.

Here are the 7 things you should keep only for yourself!

7 Things You Should Never Tell To Anyone:Things You Should Never Tell To Anyone

1. Your long term plans.

Wise people warn that you should never reveal your long term plans to anyone. Wait until they are realized.

Our plans and ideas are not just vulnerable, they also get stained when we reveal them to other people. They can’t see the image we see.

2. Your good deeds.

Good deeds are graceful and rare in this world. They should be kept as pure as your eyes.

Bragging about your good deeds eradicates the grace and shines a light directly onto your pride.

3. Your asceticism.

Whatever you are consciously depriving yourself of, avoiding alcohol, physical pleasures, certain food, or other types of indulgences, is meant solely for your character.

Don’t live your life so that you can tell others about it. Everybody has their own way of doing things, as well as their own choices.

Do what makes you happy. Revealing your asceticism to others steers your intent from becoming a better person, to appearing as a better person. It’s not for self discipline anymore.

4. Your heroism.

Wise people say that a real hero comes silently, from the inside.

Heroes do what they do not so others would know, but because THEY know what is the right thing to do deep inside their hearts. They believe in their cause and they don’t need to get approval from anyone.

Most heroic acts are outer, and people acknowledge these acts, they worship them. But inner acts of heroism are what always prevails. Inner acts of heroism create real heroes.

5. Your family problems.

What happens inside your family, the moments you share with your significant other, your private life, all that should remain private.

You should have consideration about other people’s privacy. The details you know about your family members and your partner, you know them for a reason. You are close to them.

Others who might be close to you, are not close to them. Don’t break these “walls” without their permission. It’s like borrowing a toy from a person who trusts you and giving that toy to someone else to play with it. It’s not your toy to give.

6. Your secrets and unpleasant facts you know about other people.

The same way you can make your shoes dirty, you can make your consciousness dirty.

Talking bad and gossiping about others stains your consciousness, and these stains later become negative energy.

It’s wise to leave out these details as they won’t help anyone, neither you, neither the people you speak of.

7. Your past resentments.

Past is past. Let go of it, it just weighs you down.

You should express your thoughts and feelings while something is happening.

But if you miss that opportunity, there is nothing else to do afterwards except letting go. Otherwise, you will always be one step behind, never being in the moment where you can actually make a difference.

11 Signs You Are Part Of The First Wave That Will Raise The Earth’s Vibrations

0

If you have listened deeply to your heart and felt that you have a role in changing the world, chances are you may have felt the “call” or “shift” that started about six to eight years ago.

The specific triggers for the shift in your thinking, perspectives, approach, mood, activities, or priorities might be a loss or death of someone you loved, a divorce or failed relationship, an illness or physical symptoms, or a strong sense of dissatisfaction in the midst of your accomplishments.

Having experienced as such, you feel lost, confused, and disconnected from your true purpose and path, being in agony physically, mentally, spiritually and emotionally.

The experience might look unfavorable, but this period of disconnection has to happen to prepare you for a special journey wherein your role is important as one of the various leaders for the new era that is coming.

The disconnection was meant to help you awaken as a part of this epoch’s First Wave, the first group of people who will influence and change the vibration of the world.

The challenges were given to assist you, resolve and cleanse mental issues or attachments, intensify your talents, and connect you with the deepest parts of yourself.

11 Signs You Are Part Of The First Wave That Will Raise The Earth’s Vibrations:11 Signs You Are Part Of The First Wave

So far, you might have considered yourself as part of this “first wave.” As a first-waver, you may have the following experiences:

1. You have a feeling that you don’t fit in, don’t belong or not able to connect with those around you.

2. You have a desire to find your true home or true spiritual family and community.

3. You feel that some entities are around you and may occasionally hear or see those entities.

4. You feel that you don’t achieve the success, relationship or happiness that you have been dreaming of, though you know you have the outstanding skills, abilities, and intelligence.

5. Your mood, emotions, and energy levels change according to the people or environment around you. You reflect these outside forces more than your own state or condition.

6. You have fleeting moments of awakening or consciousness.

7. You have vivid dreams, and even move, speak or act out while asleep.

8. You have periods of intense shedding of relationships, responsibilities, or priorities.

9. You feel that time moves faster.

10. You notice the synchronicities that are happening in your life, prompting you to believe that there are no coincidences or accidents.

11. You sense that what’s ahead may not be favorable, but the forthcoming global events have to happen that our planet may advance and the people may evolve.

The following tips are helpful for the first-wavers:

1. You have to be in contact with others who possess high frequencies and vibrations.

2. You have to understand and accept that your role in this world is figuratively and literally closer to “home.” You may not need to save the whole world to actually play part in saving it, but shine your light where you are present. That might be what the world needs from you the most.

3. You have to learn to choose which foods are least toxic for your particular body and which activities, and environments could help you the most.

4. You have to heal residual mental, physical, spiritual and emotional wounds.

5. You have to remind yourself that you can’t save everyone.

6. You must practice, develop, and intensify your innate or learned skills and talents.

Native Americans Left A Code Of 20 Rules For Mankind To Live By

0

Every great person, regardless of culture, religion, tribe, or ethnicity, follows certain words of wisdom.

These words of wisdom transcend the differences between people. This code of living shapes one’s character. It molds each culture to be unique and unrepeatable.

Probably one of the most spiritually advanced and character building code is The Native American Code of Ethics which was originally published in the Inter-Tribal Times in October of 1994.

It is a Code of Ethics that teaches everyone, American or not, how to live the best life.

It is fascinating to note that most of its teachings are reflected in other beliefs and faith too.

The Native American Code of EthicsNative American Code Of 20 Rules For Mankind

1. Rise with the sun to pray. Pray alone. Pray often. The Great Spirit will listen, if you only speak.

2. Be tolerant of those who are lost on their path. Ignorance, conceit, anger, jealousy and greed stem from a lost soul. Pray that they will find guidance.

3. Search for yourself, by yourself. Do not allow others to make your path for you. It is your road, and yours alone. Others may walk it with you, but no one can walk it for you.

4. Treat the guests in your home with much consideration. Serve them the best food, give them the best bed and treat them with respect and honor.

5. Do not take what is not yours whether from a person, a community, the wilderness or from a culture. It was not earned nor given. It is not yours.

6. Respect all things that are placed upon this earth – whether it be people or plant.

7. Honor other people’s thoughts, wishes and words. Never interrupt another or mock or rudely mimic them. Allow each person the right to personal expression.

8. Never speak of others in a bad way. The negative energy that you put out into the universe will multiply when it returns to you.

9. All persons make mistakes. And all mistakes can be forgiven.

10. Bad thoughts cause illness of the mind, body and spirit. Practice optimism.

11. Nature is not FOR us, it is a PART of us. Animals, plants and other living creatures are all part of your worldly family.

12. Children are the seeds of our future. Plant love in their hearts and water them with wisdom and life’s lessons. When they are grown, give them space to grow.

13. Avoid hurting the hearts of others. The poison of your pain will return to you.

14. Be truthful at all times. Honesty is the test of one’s will within this universe.

15. Keep yourself balanced. Your Mental self, Spiritual self, Emotional self, and Physical self need to be strong, pure and healthy. Work out the body to strengthen the mind. Grow rich in spirit to cure emotional ails.

16. Make conscious decisions as to who you will be and how you will react. Be responsible for your own actions.

17. Respect the privacy and personal space of others. Do not touch the personal property of others – especially sacred and religious objects. This is forbidden.

18. Be true to yourself first. You cannot nurture and help others if you cannot nurture and help yourself first.

19. Respect others religious beliefs. Do not force your belief on others.

20. Share your good fortune with others. Participate in charity.

We may differ in our faith, religion, and culture, yet we all live together on the same boat. We are only custodians and not owners of The Earth, not its conquerors nor its destroyers.

If we strive to live by these rules, we not only bring peace to ourselves, but also to others, to animals, and the world as a whole.

12 Unusual Strengths Of People Who Love Spending Time Alone…

0

Are you an extrovert or introvert? It is said that extroverts are the breath of life while introverts are the depth of life.

In whatever type you think you belong, embrace fully your uniqueness. No one is better than the other because each of us complements one another.

Because introverts comprise 30% of the population, extroverts see them as different and sometimes unyielding to conventional standards.

They may appear distant, but it’s a strength they must give attention to due to the gifts they could bring to others.

Before you demand an explanation from introverts why they need to spend time alone, read this first:

12 Character Strengths of People Who Love Spending Time Alone
Strengths Of People Who Love Spending Time Alone

1. They are loyal friends.

Compared to others, they don’t have a wide circle of friends and you seldom see them in every social gathering. What they seek out are meaningful and trustworthy friends whom they love to share their space with including their life’s every detail. They are the kind of friends who would stick with you through thick and thin.

2. They are open-minded.

They are open to new ideas. When you invite them to a big social event, they might conform with you. Just give them the quiet time they need to prepare themselves.

3. They are level-headed.

Because they spend a lot of quiet times alone, they have enough time to think and contemplate every circumstance, situation, or problem over. They see the bigger picture and where they are in it. They have a strong sense of self that makes them confident with who they are and radiate it effortlessly. When feeling stressed out, they know how to recharge without losing balance.

4. They are comfortable with their own thoughts.

Some people avoid being alone because their own thoughts make them uncomfortable. However, people who are accustomed to being alone are so in tune with their thoughts that they don’t struggle with conscience issues. They may have their down days, but they are able to navigate through it with much tranquility.

5. They value time.

People who love to be alone see each moment they spend in quietude as precious. For them, no time is ever wasted. They value every time you give them as well as the time they give you. Thus, they make sure to give you quality time and avoid to give their time to people who would only waste it.

6. They exercise strong boundaries.

Because their thinking is clear, people who spend time alone know exactly what motivates and inspires them to take action. They communicate this effectively. Their greatest strength lies in exercising strong and healthy boundaries and they express this in a clear and healthy manner.

7. They are extremely creative.

Being an introvert comes with the perk of having free time to explore your own world. The vehicle of exploration is as strong as your imagination and creativity. Introverts exercise their creativity daily and that’s why they have it developed to almost extreme levels.

8. They are thoughtful.

Unlike most of us, introverted individuals give a lot more attention to things that we don’t take as much important. They will never eat in front someone who is hungry, for example. They will always wait for their food to arrive before they start eating.

9. They have good manners.

Their appearance might look shy, but what they actually do is practice their good manners. They are really observant of other people’s needs and really aware of what can be annoying and inappropriate. They don’t want to be loud, they remember to open a door, to thank someone for doing something for them. They don’t chase to be loved by everyone, it’s just in their nature to have good manners.

10. They are original.

Having a lot of time to think on their own and being highly creative, introverted individuals come up with many original ideas. Even their style, way of talking, things they like, music they listen to, everything is original. Their way of life is not copied from some idolized character or a person they look up to. Introverted individuals create their own unique style.

11. They are really observant to details.

The reason for their introversion is actually their hypersensitive perception of details. Spending time around other people can be really stimulating for them as they are bombarded with a lot of information. They process this information subconsciously and it takes them a lot of mental energy. Introverted individuals prefer being alone because that’s how they recharge. However, this super perception makes them superheroes when it comes to details. They are like detectives that perceive things others are blind to.

12. They have strong EQ.

Introverted individuals are better at reading other people’s body language. Even if they are not aware, they subconsciously examine other people’s body changes. People who love spending time alone are hyperaware of how other people feel, sometimes even before other people realize how they feel themselves.

You might have a friend, a family, or an acquaintance who have these qualities. Or, you might be one of them.

We all are unique beings in this universe. What matters is we embrace who we are and celebrate our differences.

5 Super Advantages Of Doing A Walking Meditation Instead Of Sitting…

0

When we talk of meditation, probably what comes to your mind is sitting alone in a quiet room, with meditation music playing in the background or maybe chanting “om.”

Different variations of meditation exist, however, there is one form of meditation that engages not only your mental and emotional aspects but your physical aspect as well. This is the walking meditation.

When you practice walking meditation, you are becoming more aware of your surroundings while engaging in a physical activity.

Others choose to walk instead of a jog or a run as their physical exercise. In other cases, we all do some walking every day like walking the dog, walking from the house to the car into work or into the mall, and you could use this time to clear your mind from unwanted thoughts and gain positive clarity.

Whatever is the reason for your walking, try to see it as a form of meditation and once you do, you will reap the following benefits:

5 Super Advantages Of A Walking MeditationAdvantages Of A Walking Meditation

1. You are in connection with nature.

Walking in nature makes you mindful of the earth beneath your feet, the freshness of the air that you breathe, the air that flows in and out of your lungs, the gentle breeze that kisses your cheek, the smell of the grass, the sounds of the birds and wind blowing through the leaves, and much, much more.

Being aware of everything around you is like being connected with them. Studies even show that connecting with nature is one way of reducing stress and other harmful emotions and keeping you healthy.

2. You are in connection with your body.

Some people are not comfortable with their own bodies. They feel as if it’s a burden they must carry all throughout their lifetime. This makes it difficult to connect with one’s self.

When you do walking meditation, you are slowly establishing a relationship with your body. The process makes you aware of your body movements: your posture, gait, balance and how you can move with ease and comfort.

3. You are in connection with your mind.

Stress brought about by heavy workloads or having too much on your plate, clogs your mind. It makes your thinking foggy and even more prone to a negative train of thoughts.

But when you walk outdoors, it’s like getting out of a different world. As a physical exercise, walking helps your body release endorphins, the chemical that triggers a positive feeling in your body. Eventually, you will have a clearer mind and your thinking may shift from destructive thoughts to more positive ones.

4. You are in connection with your pace.

When you move mindfully and consciously, your pace would slow down. Walking meditation is not done in a hurried manner as in brisk walking. It is taking your time and establishing awareness with your surroundings.

It’s not how long have you covered, but how deeply you feel. Slowing your pace also clears your mind and make you focus on the things that matter.

5. You can do it wherever you are.

Walking in nature gives you ample benefits. But when circumstances wouldn’t allow you to, simply take a walk wherever you are.

Walk in a busy street with your mind focusing on your breath and rhythm of your footsteps. Walk around your neighborhood. Walk along the hallway. The key is to focus on your breath while doing it alone. Do it for yourself and the positivity it brings will not only benefit you but your loved ones as well.

If You’re Annoyed By Others Chewing, You May Be A Genius

0

There was a girl in some of my middle school classes that hated, I mean HATED, the sound of people chewing.

Within just a few weeks of class together, I knew to never chew gum (or anything else) near her desk.

The one time I did I was met with an ear-shattering: “STOP CHEWING!”

As mean as middler schoolers can be, for the most part, everyone was pretty nice to her about it.

Well, aside from a couple 8th grade a-holes that loved to push her buttons.

I couldn’t tell you her grades or intellectual score, but looking back I can now only assume she was a genius and here’s why…

20% of people have a condition known as Misophonia, which makes you highly attentive to certain noises–like people chewing, slurping, etc.

This makes you irritable when you hear certain sounds that the remaining 80% of the world apparently doesn’t even notice.

But… there’s no need to be ashamed of Misophonia.

According to researchers from Northwestern University, people diagnosed with Misophonia are more likely to be a creative genius than their peers that aren’t fazed by chewing and slurping.

So keep hating on the rude chompers, slurpers and loud chewers of the world, you’re smarter than they are anyways!

Do These Sounds Make You Angry? (EXPERIMENT)

Jim Carry Reveals Why He Got Obsessed With Painting In This 6-Min Art-Documentary: “I Needed Color”

If you are a fan of his epic comedy, you are probably like most of us asking yourself the question: What in the world has Jim Carrey been up to?

He has provided us with an answer in his new short documentary, “I Needed Color.”

The six-minute video was uploaded to Vimeo two weeks ago but has recently gone viral, becoming a Staff Pick on the streaming platform and racking up over 2 million views.

Art Documentary Of Jim Carry

“When I really started painting a lot, I had become so obsessed that there was nowhere to move in my home. Paintings were everywhere, they were becoming part of the furniture, I was eating on them.”

You can see Jim in his art studio, sharing powerful wisdom and deep psychological thoughts, surrounded by piles of paintings and colors. He reveals some secrets about his life that he has never shared with anyone before!

The documentary features some truly jaw-dropping paintings made by the actor. Carrey picked up art six years ago as a way to “heal a broken heart,” and he has produced some of his best work ever. Seriously, these paintings are incredible!

Watch The Short Documentary “I Needed Color.”

Memorable quotes:

“It’s really kinda cool what happens with these things, you know. Because you really don’t know what a sculpture, or a painting totally means. You think you do, most of the time I start out with a plan, and then like a year later I realize that the painting was telling me what I needed to know about myself a year before.”

“When your heart is in love you are floating weightless, but when you lose that love you have to reenter the atmosphere, and it can get pretty rough. You are just bouncing off one molecule unto the next ripping through them at such a pace that they just ignite and explode. Until you find another heart that’s doing the same thing, has landed and cooled. And then you start to float again.”

“Something inside you is always telling a story. I believe that every single thing that you see and hear is talking to you.”

“The bottom line with all of this, whether it’s performance, or it’s art, or it’s sculpture, is love.”
