How To Persuade ANYONE ?

Consistency

The first step is the hardest. Well taking the first step is what is actually hardest because we think on everything that is yet to come after we start going in that particular direction. There is a research that shows that the way to the gym is actually tougher than the exercises themselves.

This, of course, is all in our mind because by nature we tend to finish everything that we start and starting something means that we will certainly go through the whole process. This creates tension.

You can use this to persuade someone by giving something small that makes the person committed to something. You are making the first step for him/her. The person will be committed to your proposal.

Liking

liking-someone

When we like someone, there are 3 factors that are responsible for that, The person is Similar to us, The person gives us Compliments, or we Respect him/her. This is why a lot of marketing companies use celebrities in their campaigns.

A celebrity we worship is a person that we trust and want to be alike. If he tells us what to choose we will listen to him/her. If someone gave us a compliment it is more likely to accept his offer as a return.

You can use this to persuade someone by earning respect, showing the person your similarities and throw 1 or 2 compliments. The combination of these will result in acceptance of your offer.

Consensus

People search for “safety in numbers” when they are making a decision. If there is a proof that others have done something or bought something it is more likely that more people do the same thing because they feel safe doing something others have already done.

If there are money in a “tip jar” we are more likely to leave tips too, if there are people in a restaurant we are more likely to eat there because we assume that the product is promising and safe.

You can use this to persuade someone by giving a proof or a percentage of how many people are doing the same thing. This creates a feeling of safety for him/her to approve your offer.

WARNING: USE THE ART OF PERSUASION TO CREATE HAPPINESS WITHOUT ROBING OTHERS OF THEIRS.
