What Makes Us Human ?

Did you know that we, humans, have been on Earth for over 200,000 years?! Yea that’s a lot of time human race. Human race….. What Makes Us Human?!

The first things that come to mind are language, intelligence, emotions, empathy, reason, moral, but….. when you think about it, animals, with a little training can do almost all of that and there are even a lot of studies proving that some animals have surprisingly high quotient of intelligence.

There is something deeper to this question, What truly separates us from anything else as species?

It may sound strange but some scientists think it’s our ability to sweat. This is not as lame as it sounds, though.

Why? Well our perfect sweating system cools down our bodies more efficiently than any other species on Earth. This enables us to stay cool while for example, running long distances.

Running Long Distances Was Far More Important for our evolution than we give it credit for. Actually it was this process that evolved our brains to the level of excellence we have today.

While we were hunting faster animals it was necessary to outrun them in the long term, to wait for their body to overheat and catch them than.

We ran for average of 50 miles per day. That’s more than even Running a Marathon.

To be able to get back home, or remember where our food hides or where are the other sources of water, it was essential for us to remember landmarks because I guess iStones back then didn’t had Google maps or foursquare.

This process of remembering, over the long period of time improved our brain’s functions.

Human vs AnimalsWe developed something no animal has, the ability to visualize things, our imagination.

The one thing that separates us from ANYTHING else is our imagination, the ability to visualize the future we want to live in, the ability to communicate through time and space, the ability to invent things that Nature could not create alone.

The ability of imagination made possible for us to invent art, comedy, things like watching this video right now, through the internet.

The power of imagination has opened a door into a whole new Universe, Our Own Universe.

“Imagination is more important than knowledge” – Albert Einstein

ImaginationThe superpower we humans have is to imagine. To create Anything we want into our mind and through actions produce that, into our mutual reality.

The wand that can grant all of our wishes is actually our mind.

But, our mind alone could not have created this amazing superpower if it wasn’t for something else.

Imagination cannot function if there isn’t something to turn it on first. What turns on our imagination? What is the key element in all of this? What truly makes us human?

What Makes Us HumanWell, we are too close to the question to see the answer. Just move away a little bit and you’ll realize that, THE ANSWER is actually THE QUESTION itself.

Yes! The title of this article, the reason why you are reading it, you questioning yourself right now “What does he meant THE ANSWER IS ACTUALLY THE QUESTION” – IS THE answer.

What truly makes us human is the ability to question.

This is the key element that turns ON our imagination and enables us to invent new things.

No specie on Earth has this ability except us, so be proud of yourself humans and always,

7 More True Love Stories to Heal Your Heart

Love is the strongest force in The Universe. The energy true love promotes is beyond the limits of understanding, beyond explanation. It’s the alpha and omega of our existence.

We see ourselves as Physical Beings, we measure our strength by physical factors which is just the tip of the iceberg. We measure scratches of what we should really measure.

We measure height, weight of an object forgetting about measuring the reason of why that object exists in the first place. We measure length, time forgetting to measure The Power of Our Will to endure all of that.

We beat ourselves for insignificant things instead for the ones that really matter. We lose ourselves in the abyss of insignificance forgetting about the potential power we have in our soul.

We wander around lost until we stumble upon people who don’t give a damn about what the world thinks. They just care what their heart says.

When we stumble upon people like this and when we hear their stories we instantly remember who we are. How strong we are! How incredibly, unexplainably, infinitely and eternally powerful we can be!

We Should Thank These People because they are icons for love. They represent what true love is and they remind us what we are.

I have no greater respect than for individuals who understand what love really is. You have one giant Bravo from this Life Coach you Great Courageous Souls.

I present to you their true love stories to heal your heart and wake you up.

12 Questions to Ask Yourself Every Morning

Asking questions is something only we, humans are able to do. Questioning is probably the main reason for our every invention.

However, asking certain questions may be the catalyst for opening the doors of your soul and unlocking your true potential.

As a Life Coach, I have chosen the most effective 12 questions to ask yourself every morning. Why every morning?

After we wake up our brain is not fully awake for 30 minutes. There is no better time to bypass our limiting beliefs than while we are in this state.

The Beginning of Your Day is the best time to unlock your true potential because you’ll go through the rest of your day full with personal energy, steering yourself towards your purpose.

I’ve started doing this a couple of months ago and I cannot picture my day without asking these 12 questions every morning, right after I wake up.

I wake up, stretch, take few deep breaths and ask these questions immediately, by the exact order I will show you.

Wandering MindThe first couple of months it was hard to concentrate right after I woke up so I rearranged my schedule.

I would get up, wash my face and teeth, Do a Little Morning Workout, drink coffee and while I was drinking my coffee I would start asking myself this 12 questions.

What I’ve discovered is that despite the fact I was more focused asking these questions 30 minutes after I woke up, it was far more effective when I did right after I woke up.

I realized that it is not about the answers you’ll give to yourself, it is about the emotions those answers promote.

I would ask myself a question and my mind would drift from one end of imagination to another but with time I learned to control my mind.

With time you’ll learn to tame your “horse” but that doesn’t mean you won’t feel the effects of these questions.

Questions to Ask YourselfEven if you don’t give yourself a conscious answer, the question itself promotes the emotions you need. That’s how your soul speaks to you through your limiting beliefs. That’s why it is crucial to ask yourself these 12 questions every morning, while your mind is not still fully awake.

By doing this you are bringing your True Self before your Ego and Fears; before your beliefs and memories; before your filters and Paradigm of Thinking; Your every decision through the day will be based upon your true purpose, what you truly want.

In a way you are installing a new code into your thinking system by hacking it. This code comes straight from your soul which means it is the most fitting and harmonious code for your system than any other.

Practicing this every day is one of the most effective ways to start listening to your soul and steer your “boat” towards where you truly want it to be, towards your dream land.

The most effective 12 questions to ask yourself every morning, are:

1. What I am Grateful for?

2. What I am Proud of?

3. What I am Excited About Right Now?

4. What I am Committed to Right Now?

5. What Makes Me Happy?

6. What Gives Me Pleasure?

7. What is My Vision/Purpose?

8. What is My Dream?

9. Who Do I Love?

10. Who Loves Me?

11. What Are My 3 Most Amazing Internal Characteristics?

12. What Are My 3 Most Amazing External Characteristics?

I’ve experimented and discovered that this order is the most effective one, however, feel free to experiment with yourself as it may be different for everyone.

It is a 5 to 10 minute process through which you acquire more personal energy, Clear Your Mind, Heart and Discover Something New about Yourself and your life.

It is An Amazing Process of Self Realization, self discovery and self motivation to follow your purpose, make your dreams reality and Steer Towards The Future You Want to Build for Yourself.

Top 10 Running Quotes by Famous Runners

Running is something I love doing A LOT! I don’t know why, probably because it’s The Best Activity a Human Can Do, but I fell in love with running. The love first started when I’ve read a couple of running quotes by some famous runners.

You probably wonder “Why do a life coach speak so much about running, actually, why does he have A Separate Category Just About Running?”

If there is 1 activity to choose that can steer your life towards success, happiness and unlocking your true potential, running would be chosen no questions about that. In fact, running could be the only activity that connects all of those dots together.

It is something about the freedom you feel while you forget about your legs, breathing and tempo, about the fulfilling sensation of your body and the clarity of your mind.

Every time I run I discover something more of myself, something deeper of my soul. Every run I have is like a movie in which I learn a lesson about life.

Maybe it’s just me who learns lessons while running but sure as hell running is an inspirational life changing activity.

Almost anyone who has a decent amount of experience with running has their own quote about this activity and its benefits.

These are the top 10 running quotes by famous runners which prove that running is far from being just a simple activity we do to lose weight.

10. “Every morning in Africa a gazelle wakes up. It knows it must move faster than the lion or it will not survive. Every morning a lion wakes up and it knows it must move faster than the slowest gazelle or it will starve. It doesn’t matter if you are the lion or the gazelle, when the sun comes up, you better be moving.” – Maurice Greene

9. “I definitely want to show how beautiful the marathon can be. I am the opponent of all those who find the marathon bad: the psychologists, the physiologists, the doubters. I make the marathon beautiful for myself and for others. That’s why I’m here.” – Uta Pippig

8. “I tell our runners to divide the race into thirds. Run the first part with your head, the middle part with your personality, and the last part with your heart.” – Mike Fanelli

7. “We are different, in essence, from other men. If you want to win something, run 100 meters. If you want to experience something, run a marathon.” – Emil Zatopek

6. “Some people create with words, or with music, or with a brush and paints. I like to make something beautiful when I run. I like to make people stop and say, “I’ve never seen anyone run like that before.” It’s more than just a race, it’s a style. It’s doing something better than anyone else. It’s being creative.” – Steve Prefontaine

5. “It’s hard to run and feel sorry for yourself at the same time.” – Monte Davis

4. “In running, it doesn’t matter whether you come in first, in the middle of the pack, or last. You can say ‘I have finished.’ There is a lot of satisfaction in that.” –Fred Lebow

3. “Most runners run not because they want to live longer, but because they want to live life to the fullest. If you’re going to while away the years, it’s far better to live them with clear goals and fully alive then in a fog, and I believe running helps you to do that. Exerting yourself to the fullest within your individual limits: that’s the essence of running, and a metaphor for life — and for me, for writing as whole. I believe many runners would agree” – Haruki Murakami

2. “I run because it’s so symbolic of life. You have to drive yourself to overcome the obstacles. You might feel that you can’t. But then you find your inner strength, and realize you’re capable of so much more than you thought.” – Arthur Blank

1. “It’s very hard in the beginning to understand that the whole idea is not to beat the other runners. Eventually you learn that the competition is against the little voice inside you that wants you to quit.” – George Sheehan

I hope you start to realize that Running is Far Beyond Being Just an Activity. It is a ritual, a movement through which your soul, heart and body meet in your mind. It is a harmonious tuning to your real frequency; the practice of opening the doors of your true potential.

As I said, every experienced runner has its own running quote so I’ll finish this article with mine:

“Running is more than putting one foot after another; it’s more than exercise, more than a sport. It’s a way of walking through your own hell, fighting your own demons and creating your own hero. Running is a way to heaven. Running is a way of becoming your own hero.” – Dejan Davchevski

The Shocking Science Behind Our Happiness

Before we dive into the shocking science behind our happiness, first we need to scratch the surface of our brain, not literally though.

The Amazing Trick of Humans

Prefrontal CortexThrough our evolution, becoming the Homo Sapiens we call ourselves to be today, our brain has tripled in mass.

The reason why it is so big now is because we have developed a new part we call The Frontal Lobe and its anterior piece The Pre-Frontal Cortex. Why is this important?

This new “upgrade” of our brains enabled us to do one pretty amazing trick. It gave us the ability to visualize and imagine. We are the only species that can do this to a level of excellence that is beyond understanding.

What visualization enables us is to experience something in our mind before it actually happens. It is like the flight simulators pilots train in before they go “Top Gun” on their planes.

However, this “experience simulator” is not without errors, as a matter of fact the experiences we visualize and imagine in our brain are almost never as same as they really are in reality.

The Simulation Error

Different ChoiceImagine having a choice to make between winning a lottery and becoming paraplegic. No-brainer, right? Who, in his right mind, would choose to become a paraplegic?

Why did you choose to win the lottery? Do you think you’ll be happier? If that’s the case then you are wrong.

When tested after 1 year, lottery winners and people who became paraplegics were equally happy, like their change didn’t have any impact on their levels of happiness what so ever.

What scientists discovered was that, if something that happened is older than 3 months, it usually has no impact on our current levels of happiness no matter how big of a change it was for us at the time. How can this even be possible?

The thing is, when we imagine what would it be like to win a lottery or become paraplegic we over-rate our experiences, the simulation is all wrong. Those experiences, in reality, are not as intense as those in our minds.

Of course, if something bad happens like becoming paraplegic we will be sad. But, after a couple of weeks or months we will be as happy as we were before that even happened.

“Synthetic Happiness” vs. Natural Happiness

The Shoocking Science Behind Our HappinessWe have something we may call as “Psychological Immune System” which prevents us from feeling unhappy for long periods of time. This is the exact thing that malfunctions in serious cases of depression.

What our “Psychological Immune System” (PIS – one more “S” to be funny) does is something we may call as “Synthetic Happiness”. Our brains synthesize happiness because it is healthier for the body to live in a physical profile of feeling happy.

When we ask people who lost their companies, people who became poor over night or had an accident, and when they say that they are happy with what happened because it turn out for the best, we usually think to ourselves “Yeah Right! You are happier with dry pockets than you were with 100 million under your silk pillow, you are only lying to yourself”.

This is because we believe that Synthetic Happiness is not of a same quality as Natural Happiness. Wrong! They are exactly the same thing.

Being happy because we get what we wanted and being happy because we make ourselves to be for not having what we wanted are both same chemistry. Natural Happiness and “Synthetic Happiness” are both the same kind of Happiness.

So why do we torture our brains for certain outcomes when we can be happy, all of the time, just by deciding to be happy?

The responsibility lies part in the economy (how will the economy function if there is a shopping mall full of Buddhist Monks) and part in our freedom of choice. Let me explain.
