First of all, how are you and your family doing in these “crazy” times?
We’re doing well, thank you.
Like many people, the past few years have reinforced how important health, resilience, and meaningful relationships truly are.
They have also strengthened my belief that true wellbeing has to be approached holistically.
How did the coronavirus pandemic affect your clients? Did it affect you at all?
Honestly, I was not building a company during the pandemic.
I was navigating a move to Tennessee and spending time at home with my young daughter.
I was very present during that season and spent a great deal of time thinking about what I wanted my life and work to look like.
Looking back, that period of stillness created the space for ALIGNMETRIX to eventually come together the way it did.
The Origin:
Tell us about you, your career, how you started with your coaching career?
My background is primarily clinical.
I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Clinical Psychology and spent years working across different healthcare settings, most recently in cardiology.
While working with cardiac patients, I began asking myself what people actually need after a major medical event to fully heal and come back to themselves even stronger.
At first, I was thinking about it from a services perspective, including physical therapy and healing modalities.
However, I kept returning to the same question.
Why is no one measuring all of the factors that contribute to whole person healing and alignment?
That question itself led to the birth of ALIGNMETRIX.
There was also a personal side to this journey.
When a family member became seriously ill, I lost myself somewhere in the middle of caring for them.
That experience of personally feeling misaligned from the inside out made the question feel urgent.
I stopped waiting for someone else to solve it and began working to solve it myself.
What was your biggest obstacle that you had to overcome in your life that made you who you are today?
Supporting someone I love very much as she navigated an unexpected disease and medical treatment was one of the greatest challenges I have faced.
The side effects, the difficult days, and the moments when she did not feel well were painful in a way I cannot fully put into words.
That experience changed my perspective on what is most important in life.
I am eternally grateful to have been, and to continue to be, by her side.
What are the biggest lessons that you learned overcoming your greatest obstacle?
Resilience.
Life is a fragile, beautiful journey.
Too often we fall into the trap of believing we have more time.
Live passionately in the present and be thankful for every additional day you are granted to spend with those you love.
The Coaching Style:
How do you innovate with coaching your clients?
I determine the baseline first.
Most approaches start with the intervention.
I start with the data.
ALIGNMETRIX contains a proprietary 25 question assessment that spans five dimensions: neurocognitive capacity, emotional regulation, physiological resilience, behavioral stability, and relational alignment.
Users receive an Internal Alignment Score (IAS), which is broken down into percentages across each domain.
From there, each person receives a Drift Archetype, which identifies how and where they have moved away from their most aligned self.
That archetype then drives personalized recommendations that are specific to what the individual actually needs instead of a generic wellness plan.
You cannot target what you have not measured.
What’s unique about your coaching approach?
It is clinical and precise.
I am not offering mindset tips or reflection exercises.
I am offering a framework that produces real data about what is actually happening internally.
That is what makes it valuable in clinical and enterprise settings, not just in a personal development context.
What benefits do your clients get after working with you?
Clarity.
Not the kind that comes from a good conversation, but the clarity that comes from seeing your own patterns reflected back through data.
That changes how you make decisions, how you sustain progress, and how you relate to yourself.
Do you use any specific tools to be efficient with your clients?
The IAS™ assessment is at the center of everything.
It provides you with a baseline, tracks your progress over time, and benchmarks your development.
You are not guessing.
You are working from evidence.
The Impact:
If you had a super megaphone that, when you speak into, the whole world will hear your message, what would you say?
Your internal state drives everything from your health outcomes and relationships to your performance.
We spend so much time optimizing the external while placing less importance on what is happening internally.
That is the gap I am working to close.
What is the greatest lesson you have learned in your life?
To advocate loudly for what I believe in.
Conviction is the birthplace of change.
Your final thoughts?
We are at an important turning point in healthcare and human performance.
The missing piece has never been information.
It has always been internal alignment.
That is what we are solving for at ALIGNMETRIX.
