Tristen Vieaux is one of the coaches that we found this month and we did a little interview with her. She impressed us with her dedication and expertise.

She is a Licensed Professional Counselor, Registered Yoga Teacher, and founder and owner of Chara Yoga Wellness Collaborative, where she supports adolescents, women, and couples through anxiety, trauma, and major life transitions. Her work bridges clinical counseling with holistic wellness to create a deeply integrative healing experience.

She integrates traditional psychotherapy with yoga, mindfulness, and nervous system regulation techniques to help clients reconnect with their bodies and restore emotional balance. Through her unique approach, she supports both psychological insight and somatic healing in a unified process.

First of all, how are you and your family doing in these “crazy” times?

Honestly, these times have invited a lot more softness, creativity, and intentional living into everyday life.

In many ways, it has helped us return to the basics, choosing presence over pressure and finding meaning in the small everyday moments.

Life has shifted into something more grounded, a new rhythm that asks us to be more present and more deliberate with how we move through our days.

For me and my family, it has been a gentle reminder to slow down and truly prioritize what matters most.

There has been a deeper focus on self compassion, forgiveness, and overall wellness.

We have also made more space for connection, being silly, and simply being together.

How did the coronavirus pandemic affect your clients? Did it affect you at all?

For many people, this period brought forward deeper existential questions, along with a sense that life is short and a desire to reassess what truly matters and what they want their lives to look like moving forward.

At the same time, I also witnessed a powerful shift toward self reflection and growth.

Many clients became more open to exploring their mental health, healing patterns, and making intentional changes in how they live and relate to themselves and others.

On a broader scale, one of the positive changes was the expansion of virtual care.

It significantly increased access to mental health and wellness services, especially for individuals in rural or underserved communities who previously faced barriers to in person support.

This shift allowed for greater continuity of care and made wellness support more accessible and flexible than ever before.

For me personally, it reinforced the importance of adaptability in care, as well as the value of meeting clients where they are, both literally and emotionally, during times of uncertainty.

The Origin:

Tell us about you, your career, how you started with your coaching career?

I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor with a background in supporting adolescents, women, and couples through anxiety, trauma recovery, and life transitions.

Early in my career, I was drawn to the connection between emotional healing and the body, which led me to integrate body centered approaches alongside traditional counseling.

Over time, I expanded my work into yoga and mindfulness as a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT), deepening my understanding of how movement, breath, and nervous system regulation support healing.

This naturally evolved into creating women’s wellness retreats that combine therapeutic support, embodiment practices, and space for rest and renewal.

My coaching and clinical work are rooted in helping people feel more connected to themselves emotionally, physically, and spiritually so they can move through life with greater clarity, resilience, and self compassion.

What was your biggest obstacle that you had to overcome in your life that made you who you are today?

One of the most defining challenges in my life was being diagnosed with a learning disability later in life.

That experience required me to rethink the way I approached learning, communication, and personal growth.

It also brought awareness to the internalized beliefs I had carried for years, questioning whether I was capable, intelligent, or enough.

What are the biggest lessons that you learned overcoming your greatest obstacle?

I learned that growth is not about fitting into a single definition of success or intelligence.

It is about discovering the strategies, strengths, and resilience that allow us to thrive authentically.

Navigating that journey helped me cultivate greater self awareness, adaptability, and compassion, both personally and professionally.

It ultimately deepened my passion for wellness coaching and supporting others as they move beyond limiting beliefs and reconnect with their own capacity for growth and healing.

The Coaching Style:

How do you innovate with coaching your clients?

I innovate in my coaching practice through a commitment to lifelong learning and continuous professional development.

I stay current with emerging research and evolving wellness modalities so I can deepen and expand my therapeutic toolkit in ways that best serve my clients.

My focus is on meeting clients where they are during the different seasons of life, whether that is adolescence, fertility and family planning, parenting, career fatigue, or the transitions of perimenopause and menopause.

Each stage brings unique emotional, physical, and psychological needs, and I tailor my approach accordingly.

By integrating evidence informed practices with holistic and body centered approaches, I am able to offer care that is both grounded and adaptable.

This allows me to support clients in a way that is responsive, relevant, and sustainable as their needs evolve over time.

What’s unique about your coaching approach?

What makes my coaching approach unique is that it is deeply individualized and holistic.

I believe healing and growth are not one size fits all, which is why I take a personalized one on one approach that honors each client’s emotional, physical, and spiritual needs.

At the heart of my approach is creating a compassionate and supportive space where clients can reconnect with their authentic selves, build resilience, and move toward lasting wellness from the inside out.

What benefits do your clients get after working with you?

One of the greatest benefits my clients experience after working with me is gaining a deeper sense of clarity, balance, and connection to themselves.

With over 10 years of experience, I bring a compassionate, collaborative, and integrative approach to wellness that supports the whole person mentally, emotionally, physically, and spiritually.

I offer both in person and virtual sessions, allowing clients flexibility and accessibility throughout their wellness journey.

One of the foundations of my approach is beginning with a comprehensive wellness assessment, which helps us create a personalized wellness blueprint tailored to each individual’s goals, lifestyle, and challenges.

This process provides clients with a clear and sustainable roadmap for meaningful behavior change, helping them move beyond overwhelm and toward lasting progress.

My goal is to create a supportive space where clients feel empowered, understood, and equipped with practical tools that foster long term healing, resilience, and overall well being.

Do you use any specific tools to be efficient with your clients?

My work integrates faith based counseling, yoga, and body centered therapeutic practices to support the connection between mind and body.

I also incorporate trauma informed approaches, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), to help clients process experiences in a safe and empowering way.

In addition, I offer support for women navigating perimenopause through individualized hormone balancing nutrition, lifestyle adjustments, and wellness coaching designed to help clients feel more grounded, energized, and connected to themselves during seasons of transition.

If you had a super megaphone that, when you speak into, the whole world will hear your message, what would you say?

You are beautifully made and are lovable! You matter!

What is the greatest lesson you have learned in your life?

One of the greatest lessons I have learned in life is not to take myself so seriously that I become afraid to take risks or try new things.

For a long time, I realized that fear of failure, getting it wrong, or not meeting expectations could quietly keep me playing small.

What I have come to understand is that growth rarely happens inside our comfort zones.

Some of our most meaningful experiences come through being willing to learn, stretch, and even fail along the way.

Failure is not a reflection of our worth.

It is often part of the process of becoming.

That lesson has taught me to approach life with more curiosity, humility, and self compassion while trusting that we do not have to have everything figured out to take the next step forward.
