Rory D. Chambers is one of the coaches that we found this month and we did a little interview with him. He impressed us with his relentless resilience and unwavering passion.
He once found himself homeless, sleeping in his car on the streets of London, battling depression and suicidal thoughts after chasing a better life that seemed to collapse beneath him. But instead of giving in, he turned inward, anchoring himself in faith, rebuilding his mindset, and forging a mission from the fire. That mission? To help other men rise from their darkest moments and reclaim their strength, purpose, and power.
He spent over 15 years working long, thankless hours in the UKās largest public transport companies, sacrificing his well being to survive. It was during this grind, and after the heartbreak of being separated from his children, that he realized something deeper: men need more than hustle to heal. They need structure, support, and purpose driven strategy. Thatās what he now delivers through his MESDAC⢠Framework and HigherMAN Method⢅ These are battle tested systems designed for busy men who want to thrive, not just survive.
He doesnāt coach from theory, he coaches from experience. As a Black man, father, and survivor of lifeās harshest lessons, he brings empathy, strength, and spiritual conviction to every session. His clients donāt just get better habits, they undergo full transformation, Spiritually, Mentally, Physically, Emotionally, and Financially… they become Higher Men. They walk away more disciplined, more focused, and more alive, equipped to lead their lives, not just their businesses. Here is what he said…
Meet Life Coach Rory D. Chambers:

Name: Rory D. Chambers
Pillar: The Spirit, The Mind, The Body, The Heart
Who is this coach for: Busy men, entrepreneurs, CEOs, executives, fathers, and business leaders who want to become leaders of their life and be Higher Men without going through burnout.
How they can help: By using his MESDAC⢠Framework and HigherMAN Methodā¢.
First of all, how are you and your family doing after these Pandemic times?
The pandemic deeply impacted me and my family on multiple levels.
We experienced financial uncertainty, loss of income, and, most painfully, the passing and ill health of loved ones.
I lost my full time career after 15 years as a professional transport worker, and the emotional toll affected me mentally, physically, spiritually, and financially.
But in the face of adversity, I realised something had to change.
I needed to take control of my life, my mindset, and my future.
Drawing from my background in high performance sports, my psychology and human behaviour studies, and the mentorship Iāve received from leading industry experts, I was already equipped with the mindset, tools, and resilience to rebuild.
It wasnāt an instant transformation.
There were setbacks and personal struggles.
But I committed to mastering the strategies and systems that would allow me to perform at my best.
Thatās when my journey as a High Performance Coach truly began, driven by a mission to help busy men like me who often neglect their health and wellbeing while working tirelessly to provide for their families.
How did the coronavirus pandemic affect your clients? Did it affect you at all?
I began my coaching journey after the pandemic.
Still, many of my clients have shared how deeply it impacted their lives, from mental health challenges to strained family dynamics, job loss, financial instability, and a deep sense of lost direction and identity.
For many, the pandemic shattered their sense of control and security.
Personally, the pandemic hit me hard.
I was working through an agency when the pandemic was first announced, and overnight everything stopped.
Agency workers were left without jobs, and public transportation shut down.
I lived in a hotel for two months, unable to pay my bills or meet daily needs.
That period forced me to confront the fragility of relying on one income stream or system outside my control.
It became clear that I had to take ownership of my life, career, and future.
The experience lit a fire in me to build something meaningful on my terms, and thatās where the vision for my coaching business was truly born.
Now, I help other men regain control of their lives, finances, and mindset like I did.
What are the biggest lessons that you learned in this pandemic?
The pandemic taught me that nothing in life is guaranteed.
Everything can change in an instant.
It forced me to take full accountability and responsibility for my life, to adapt quickly, and to lead with intention.
I learned that people, like seasons, can change and sometimes disappear without warning.
I also realised that when everything falls apart, I have only myself and God to rely on.
That awareness sparked a complete mindset shift.
I adopted a positive, proactive attitude rooted in rapid adaptation, decisive action, and resilience.
I now believe in failing fast to learn faster.
One of the most extraordinary insights the pandemic gave me is that every disaster hides a new opportunity, but you can only find it if youāre willing to look in unexpected places.
The pandemic taught me to be alert, discerning, and ready to pivot.
Since then, my faith has grown stronger, my relationships are more meaningful and closely knit, and my health has improved drastically.
Most importantly, Iāve learned to value time like never before.
Today, I intentionally build systems and strategies to create more freedom, purpose, and a better life, not just for myself but those I lead.
The Origin:
Tell us about you, your career, how you started with your coaching career?
My coaching journey was born from some of the darkest moments of my life.
There was a time when I felt utterly broken, homeless, sleeping in my car, battling suicidal thoughts, and searching for hope after moving to London to create a better life.
But my unwavering faith and relationship with the Most High saved me.
I realised that my purpose was far greater than my circumstances.
Through therapy, consistent workouts, reading, mentoring, and surrounding myself with like minded men, I slowly began rebuilding and rediscovering myself.
I cultivated mental toughness, developed a powerful āwhy,ā and found clarity in my mission to help others who feel lost or stuck.
Before becoming a coach, I spent over 15 years working in the UKās largest public transport companies (long hours, early mornings, and late nights).
I know what itās like to sacrifice your health, time, and mental well being to provide and survive.
Thatās why today, I coach busy men, entrepreneurs, CEOs, executives, fathers, and business leaders, helping them perform at their highest level without burning out or losing themselves in the process.
What was your biggest obstacle that you had to overcome in your life that made you who you are today?
The biggest obstacle Iāve faced in life was not being able to see my children.
As a father, that pain cuts deep.
It forced me to reflect, take accountability, and commit to becoming the change I wanted to see, not just for them, but for myself.
It reshaped my mindset.
I realised that as men (especially fathers) we often carry guilt for working hard and chasing success.
But I learned to give myself grace.
I also understood something deeper: being in control of your destiny is not just a luxury but a necessity.
I now believe that if more men were free to work on their terms and build financial stability, they would spend more time with their children.
Thatās a truth I live by and coach by.
Overcoming this situation wasnāt easy, it required intentional self work, resilience, and spiritual alignment.
My faith became my anchor.
Scripture says, āI can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.ā
I chose to make the reason behind my mission greater than any obstacle I faced.
The Coaching Style:
How do you innovate with coaching your clients?
My coaching approach is different because I donāt just teach theory… Iāve lived, breathed, and survived the struggles my clients face.
I carry the scars and bruises of being a man who once felt voiceless, overwhelmed, broken, and on the edge of giving up.
I know what burnout feels like.
I know what it means to put work before everything else, thinking that hustle would fix the pain.
Iāve faced depression after a near fatal car accident and navigated life as a fatherless son from a broken family.
Iāve been the underperformer, barely getting by.
That experience allows me to coach from a place of deep empathy, authenticity, and strength.
I donāt offer fluff or fad solutions… my method is battle tested.
Iāve developed a proprietary framework called MESDACā¢, which focuses on Mindset (Mental Health), Energy, Systems, Discipline, Adaptability, and Commitment.
I also teach my signature HigherMAN Methodā¢, rooted in high performance habits, mindset mastery, fitness, and personal growth.
Itās a holistic, practical, and transformative system that empowers men to become strong in mind, body, and purpose, so they can perform at their best without compromising who they are.
Whatās unique about your coaching approach?
My coaching approach is unique because I donāt just coach from theory, I coach from lived experience.
Iāve walked the rugged roads that many high performing men silently travel.
And when clients come to me, they often say, āThis is exactly what Iāve been looking for, but didnāt know I needed.ā
As a Black man, a father, and someone whoās rebuilt his life from rock bottom, I understand the immense mental and emotional weight men carry every day, especially those who lead, provide, and protect.
Iāve worked with people from all walks of life, and my approach is rooted in being a student first.
Iām constantly evolving, learning, and refining to lead, coach, and teach from a place of value, integrity, and empathy.
Faith and discipline guide everything I do.
I donāt just coach for performance, I coach for purpose.
My clients donāt just leave with better routines or strategies… they leave transformed, more aligned with who they are, and equipped to lead their lives with clarity, conviction, and courage.
What benefits do your clients get after working with you?
After working with me, my clients experience potent shifts in both their internal world and external results.
They improve their discipline, manage stress more effectively, and significantly reduce anxiety.
Many report sleeping better, feeling more energised, and gaining the mental clarity theyāve been missing.
They also develop more substantial emotional intelligence and a more grounded sense of self.
Their overall health improves, their performance increases, and they become more proactive in all areas of life, from business to family.
But more than that, they feel different.
They feel sharper, more focused, more in control, and more alive.
My coaching isnāt just about temporary motivation but sustainable transformation.
It helps high performing men become the leaders of their lives, not just their businesses.
Do you use any specific tools to be efficient with your clients?
Absolutely.
Structure creates freedom, and I use powerful tools to streamline the coaching experience and maximize results for my clients.
For operations, I use ABC Trainerize for fitness coaching, Zoom for sessions, Calendly for scheduling, Stripe for payments, and GoHighLevel for automation and CRM.
My coaching is driven by my proprietary MESDAC⢠Framework and HigherMAN Methodā¢, which are central to how I deliver transformation across mindset, performance, and lifestyle.
I also coach through my custom ROARFiTT⢠App, focused on personal training and online fitness coaching.
To capture thoughts and client insights, I prefer voice notes using Voice Memos and Otter.ai, which I later transcribe.
I use Google Docs, Canva for visual materials, Google Sheets and Excel for progress tracking, and Google Forms and ScoreApp for client onboarding and assessments.
I also harness AI tools like ChatGPT to 10x my productivity, create high impact content, and develop robust strategies for myself and my clients.
Everything is anchored by my HigherMAN Habits, a strict, results driven daily routine that models discipline, alignment, and consistency.
The Impact:
If you had a super megaphone that, when you speak into, the whole world will hear your message, what would you say?
Become so divinely dangerous as a man that your life echoes through generations.
Walk boldly in your God given assignment, and never conform to a world that has forgotten Him.
Let your work be worship, your presence be power, and your legacy be light.
Do it for yourself, so that you can do more for others.
Be the protector, the provider, and the foundation your family and community can stand on.
And above all, remember, you were born to lead, not follow.
What is the greatest lesson you have learned in your life?
One of the greatest lessons Iāve learned is that not everyone in your life is meant to support your dreams, some people are there to test them.
Iāve learned never to dim my light to make others feel more comfortable.
Your light is your gift, let it shine unapologetically.
Iāve also realised the importance of being future focused.
The past is only there to show you how far youāve come, not to keep you stuck.
Friends and family may come and go, but the one constant is you, and itās your responsibility to love, care for, and pour into yourself first.
Saying no has become one of my most incredible superpowers.
I no longer feel guilty for prioritising my growth or protecting my peace.
Iāve learned that opportunity isnāt missed, it simply moves on to the person prepared for it.
I live by the principle: stay ready so you never have to get prepared.
And perhaps most importantly, Iāve stopped waiting for perfect conditions.
Perfection is the thief of progress.
Your āwhyā, your passion, purpose, and dreams… must be your compass.
Let those guide you, and use systems and habits to keep you accountable.
Your final thoughts?
Every man was born with a calling, a divine assignment beyond titles, trophies, or temporary success.
The world doesnāt need more men chasing status, it needs more men becoming who they were created to be.
My mission is simple:
To help high performing men rise into the highest version of themselves… mentally, physically, spiritually, emotionally, and financially.
Iāve been through the fire and know what itās like to feel stuck, broken, and unseen.
But I also know what it means to rebuild, rise, and walk with power, purpose, and clarity.
If you’re reading this and something inside you is stirring, that whisper that says, āThereās more to you than what youāre living now,ā donāt ignore it.
Thatās your Higher Self calling you forward.
Let your faith be your foundation.
Let your discipline be your weapon.
Let your āwhyā be your compass.
And never forget, you are the assignment.
