Life is a story. At least for us humans.
We have a need to chronologically order memories and squeeze meaning out.

But, in reality, life isn’t a story. It’s series of movements and processes that enable beings to develop consciousness and a sense of self. This self records its actions to better understand reality so it can survive for longer. However, instead of just recording memories, we reshape them to fit into a story, a story we like to tell.
